We got a beautiful hot tub. They explained all features and warranties. Our tub was installed about a month later. We had to wait for electrician completion. The store and salespeople were fine. Where they really stand out is service. We were having an issue with the tub going into protection mode. I called and they scheduled service. We didn't need to be home. We couldn't be happier with the service person. My phone kept breaking up at his name. But he was outstanding. Our repair, it turns out, is an easy one AND under warranty. Although these hot tubs are expensive, they are worth every penny. Very happy with our salt water hot tub purchase.

For continuity's sake, I drove to East Coast Pool & Spa, even though it was about seven miles further than Coleco. Continued using them because they were very helpful and nice to do business with. At some point, our pool chemistry got a little out of whack. Decided to give Coleco a try since it was so much closer. The older woman at Coleco was a little reluctant about testing our pool water more than twice a year even though they used an electronic tester that didn't take nearly as long as the titration method used by East Coast. The biggest problem we were having was high Cyanuric Acid levels. The old chick at Coleco sold me a product for reducing high Cyanuric Acid while lecturing me that I was doing something wrong. I only did what they told me to do and followed their instructions to the letter. Just for reference, I called the manufacturer of the product and was told to get a really accurate reading, the titration method was the only way to go, so I went back to East Coast Pool & Spa. They were WAY more helpful and much friendlier. They helped me to get the parameters back to an acceptable range. Long story short, I'd drive to East Coast Pool & Spa if it was twenty mile further! On another occasion, I stopped by Coleco to pick up a New Water Chlorinator Cartridge. It was $10 more than the last time I had bought one there a few weeks earlier. I commented on the price increase and the old chic said that was they price they'd always been charging. Next time I needed one, got it at East Coast for $10 cheaper. The nasty old chic at Coleco seems like she would be nice, but had this passive aggressive thing going. Lastly, every time I went to Coleco, I was the only customer in the store, but at East Coast, they were almost always dealing with multiple customers, but were still genuinely friendly AND helpful. Take this review for what it's worth, but I'd stay clear of Coleco. Even some friends of our refer to East Coast as the, "nice pool people", and Coleco as the, "nasty pool people".

I have an above ground pool and have them test my water weekly and they provide a detailed analysis including ideal ranges, where your water lies within those ranges and which chemicals to add to get your water to those ideal conditions. When I say that, they tell you exactly how much to add and the timeline for doing so. My pool water is always crystal clear after I follow their instructions. Amy writes on each package which step it is, how much to add and when to do so. They literally make it idiot-proof. I have moved since first using them and while there are other companies that are closer to me now I am quite picky and drive an hour round trip because I trust them dearly. And you might find inferior products cheaper online or in box stores but for me I'd rather pay for quality and expertise. Like my mom says, you get what you pay for. The level of un-professionalism my wife, myself, and daughter experienced tonight was shocking--so much so that I'm still in disbelief. How this individual manages to sell any hot tubs is beyond me. We visited Sundance Spas for the first time today, on January 16th at 5:30 PM. We wanted to see the Sundance Cameo in person after weeks of serious research. We're ready to purchase a luxury hot tub, and we very easily may have purchased this one tonight if the experience was 100% different. When we arrived, the store was completely empty despite the lights being on and the door open (they close at 6 PM). After walking around awkwardly for over five minutes, someone finally emerged from the back. He didn't introduce himself at all. He just gave us a "hey" and walked over. He was tall, older, with spiked gray hair and an arrogant, annoyed demeanor. I've done my research, so I knew most of the details about the Cameo already. However, I had a few specific questions about the spacing, depth, and warranty that I wanted clarified. Unfortunately, this man clearly wasn't in the mood to provide answers or even basic customer service. When my daughter sat in the tub and couldn't reach the headrest, (which he looked annoyed she was even doing so and made sure to tell her to take her shoes off), I jokingly mentioned we might need a hot tub booster seat for her. His response was a sarcastic "I guess ...." I then asked about the warranty of the steel frames and he said, "10 years." My wife followed up, asking if he knew why it was only 10 years, and he snidely replied, "What, you need more?" He then added, "How do I know? You'd have to call corporate, I don't make them". The way this came out too was so rude sounding. That surprised us...my wife and I looked at each other like "what was that" lol From there I said something along the lines of: "I'm getting some bad vibes here, so I think we're going to leave now. We came in ready to possibly buy this Cameo, just had a few questions, but apparently you're not interested in selling it. So, we started to walk out and I said "Have a good night"....He quickly replied..."Sensitive, huh?" LOL I laughed in disbelief and was about to turn around to respond but my wife stopped me. I have to say...I'm SO glad we visited this store, because it saved us from a long-term headache dealing with this dealer. We were literally prepared to spend the $18,500 cash tonight on this. But what this guy for some crazy reason doesn't understand is that for a family making an investment like this, they don't just look at the product, they look at the experience, as once you buy the tub, you will be tied to that that dealer. If this gentleman is a salesman...fire him...he is going to sink your business. If this gentleman is the owner...get into a non-cusomer service business, because you are not cut out for this.
