Brad (the owner) installed a tankless water heater about ten years ago. Since then we've had it serviced by him, his son Tanner and most recently by Conal. The servicing was quick, parts immediately available, he was early, the service prompt and the tankless functioning properly after the necessary parts were replaced (valve and filter...expected at the servicing as routine maintenance). Conan was friendly and knowledgeable and checked on a couple other issues I was also having related to plumbing and water pressure issues. Get a pricing breakdown and definitely a quote from someone else. I used them based on their reviews and due to the urgent nature of my issue (a leak). I went ahead with their quote of $1,100 without asking around. This cost included waiving the $96 charge to show up and diagnose the issue. They were at my home for an hour and 15 minutes total. When I asked for the breakdown, I was told the part was approximately $500 and their time for the first hour was billed at $450 per hour!!! (That would be an annual salary of $936,000 per year if that was their regular hourly rate). They said this rate goes down the more hours they are on-site. One would hope so. I paid the bill as it was my fault for assuming their hourly rate would be a little more in line with their per visit charge. I am not sure how they stay in business if this is their pricing model. I used The Plumbing Physician for a whole home water filter install that was installed in a garage in under 2 hours (with bypass valve). The time estimate was 70% less than another plumber I asked for a quote and the price was a much better value. Quality was very good. Tanner was polite, friendly, and professional, and honest. He were extremely accurate in their estimate (they actually were faster by about 10 min for their estimated time). I will definitely have them on speed dial for future plumbing needs. Brad and family are top notch. I hired them to repipe my house last spring and then install the trim once our renovation was completed. These guys are true professionals and meticulous in their work as well as customer service oriented. Of the three quotes that I got, theirs was highest but I have no doubt that they did a better job than others would have done and they didn't cut any corners or try to add on additional cost after they started the job.
