I absolutely love this restaurant. They are always so welcoming and the atmosphere is really nice…read more It's great for business meetings or a romantic dinner. Making reservations is really simple via OpenTable. They have Valley parking which cost around eight dollars, but there is also a parking garage where you can pay by the hour. They have a pretty large dining room with an area for more private dining as well and they also have seating at the oyster bar. This is my fourth visit and each visit the food has been really good. For our appetizers we got my favorite the shrimp à la Plancha, but I did notice that the bread that comes with the dish has gotten significantly smaller. For dinner we had the fingerling potatoes, which I was not a fan of. They were pretty hard. I got the red fish for my entrée and we got the collard greens for our vegetable and the greens tasted amazing. My friend ordered the She Crab Soup and Fried Oysters and said they were both delicious. I missed out on the Peach cake (out of season) but they had Apple and I liked it.

We also enjoyed our cocktails. That old San Juan will put you underneath the table if you're not careful. (imagine an old-fashioned made with two types of rum). You can eat outdoors or in and the sound level isn't too loud all that's great, but the real star is the food. At our table, we had the spicy kale salad, fried oysters she crab soup, and blackened red fish. All of these dishes were expertly prepare prepared... but that black and red fish was a thing of beauty oh my gosh! Ridiculously delicious. If you're having trouble making up your mind, listen to me right now get the freaking blackened red fish, OK?! I almost forgot we also had dessert. Everyone except for me really loved that apple pudding cake. I thought it was just kind of a mess. But ohhhh, the Keylime pie!! A work of art! So very good.

I remember having the Blueberry Breeze, which was light, refreshing, and just sweet enough with the blueberry and lemon. I also had the Kale Caesar, and I really enjoyed it. The Manchego and Serrano-Caesar dressing gave it a little more flavor than your standard Caesar. The atmosphere was one of the things I liked most about Bulla. It was modern, lively, and social without feeling like you had to scream across the table to have a conversation. It worked just as well for lunch or after-work drinks as it did for sitting down and sharing a few tapas. Service was always friendly and attentive, and the tapas-style menu made it easy to order a few things and share instead of committing to one large meal. The 11th Street location was also right in the middle of Midtown, so it was an easy place to meet up for lunch, happy hour, or dinner. Great drinks, good food, attentive service, and a really nice Midtown atmosphere. Definitely a spot I enjoyed and one I wish was still around.

I ordered a couple of items so I could taste a little bit of everything. I started out with the roula-mula cocktail which was their take on a mule with vodka and rum in it. I was really surprised it wasn't served in a copper mug. For food we had the crab claws, a half shrimp poboy and sweet potato fries. Other entrees at my table was the fried catfish basket and the Etoufee. Everything was very flavorful and really good.

And those hush puppies were absolutely delicious. I'd literally come back for those. I came here on a whim and there was no wait. Parking was easy to find since there's a private parking lot specifically for the restaurant in the back. To start, I got the Bayou Fog Cutter as my drink. The waitress really hyped it up and I was excited to try but it ended up not being my cup of tea so I opted for the Roula Mule Ah which she said was a version of a Moscow Mule and those I like. She said she had to keep the drink at the original price although it was cheaper which was fine cause I want something I can enjoy. It probably had more to do with her tip which FYI, is already included in your bill. An automatic 20 percent. There was so much on the menu I wanted to try and she suggested a few items like the shrimp po boy, broccoli, chicken bites and étouffée. After reading a few reviews, I got the blackened catfish bang mi. It was good. Just a regular fish sandwich. The star of the show was the hush puppies. People raved about them in their reviews and they did not disappoint. They give a good serving of em too; like 10-12. And they're bite sized. If they were staying open, I'd definitely come back.

I wasn't expecting much from this place but it was the perfect gem. I wasn't expecting much able to make a last minute reservation online and we were seated immediately. The waiter was professional and so friendly--he literally knew every little thing about each dish. He provided some great recommendations and we decided to order the lobster crawfish wontons, the crispy beef, the drunken noodle with scallops and lobster tail, and the sticky ribs. I easily could have eaten all the wontons myself and the drunken noodles came large lobster tails and plenty of scallops. I ate these so fast that I forgot to take a picture. The crispy beef was a little bit on the sweeter side but it was the perfect amount of crunch and sauce that paired well with the vegetables and jasmine rice. I also really enjoyed the ribs--they were very tender and flavorful. It came with collard greens which I didn't enjoy as much but the other dishes were so good and I ate so much that I didn't mind. I also saw plenty of couples celebrating milestones together so it definitely makes for a cute night out if you're in the area looking to have a nice dinner with your partner. I hope to be back to Atlanta soon so that I can indulge again.
