Moonlight has been one of Atlanta's tougher to get rooftop bars since its opening. Booked up nearly…read moreall the time and for some good reasons. There probably isn't a bar in the city that offers as breathtaking of a view as does Moonlight. The panorama of all three of Atlanta's skyscraper centers is clearly visible, along with the historical architecture of Ponce City Market. The crowd is mix of tourists and locals in their 20s and 30s. The cocktails are solid. Food is decent, nothing to rave about, but again, hopefully nobody is here for the food. The lobster roll was very bread heavy and the useless dab of caviar was just a wasteful decoration. Yet, the atmosphere of the place, situated in the beautiful Forth hotel makes Moonlight an incredible spot for drinks.

A genuinely terrible experience, from start to finish. Firstly, we were guests at the hotel looking…read morefor dining options around 8pm. Having dined at Elektra already this weekend, we wanted to try something different. Hostess started with some type of unposted dress coded nonsense because my son was in a hoodie (which he agreed to remove) before we were granted access. Arrive inside and it's standing room only at the bar - all seating areas are clearly designed for large groups and they're all occupied, as were the handful of actual seats at the bar. Proceed to order numerous dishes from the menu to-go. Bar tenders, in fairness, were very pleasant btw. Nowhere to wait except standing there like idiots until bartender says we can sit in a reserved section for a bit. Nasty waitress comes by soon after to usher us away, despite conflicting instructions from the bar. Anyway, insult to injury when it appears I've been charged a service charge and a gratuity charge and the dishes were small and mostly not great. The wings were ok, but the grilled cheese was gross, the flatbread was minuscule, the cheese plate was meh. Overall, between the mostly rude to indifferent staff attitude, lack of seating, and poor quality of food this place deserves a pass. ,

We found a nice table and ordered a glass of wine. We had every intent of staying and eating, but this atmosphere is not what we had in mind. I felt bad for the musician because nobody was paying attention. Our server disappeared so even if we wanted to stay for more drinks it was a hassle. The bartender finally tracked down our bill and we decided to go elsewhere.

Rather than just finding out, he went ahead and made it and brought it out with the group's drinks. When I saw how good it looked, I decided to order one too. The presentation of the drink was very nice and it had a good creamy flavor to it. This drink was a nice way to wind down the evening. As someone from TX, I did think the drinks were a bit on the pricey side but it's not surprising with it being the ritz. I liked that the bar had a fun yet casual ambiance and there were plenty of people around. We did ask what time last call was and were told midnight so we didn't hurry to order a second drink. Unfortunately, when we ordered another at 10:40... we were told they had closed which was frustrating.

We recently attended the Auburn/Baylor game and had already planned to park in the lot next door…read more We decided ahead of time to try Wild Leap Atlanta since it was close by and had great reviews. I'm not a beer drinker, but it looked like they have a variety of beverages in addition to a couple of meal choices. We entered, and everyone was so friendly. After placing our orders, we received a text that let us know to go nearby to the food truck to pick them up. The double burgers were tasty and the fries delicious. Our slushie drinks were exceptional. We enjoyed our meal before walking over to the game. As the ballgame ended, there was a notification that there was a severe thunderstorm and we should shelter in place by staying in the stadium. Since we had a bit of a drive home, we decided to get ahead of the weather and traffic and leave early. Well, we had only walked one block when the bottom fell out. We were drenched. We decided to run back into Wild Leap before we got our car next door. As we got to the front door, a young man (Manager? Shift manager?) whom we had seen working there earlier opened the door and welcomed us in. He immediately grabbed hand towels that were clean and dry for us to wipe off with and offered any assistance he could give us. We went to the restroom and tried to clean up a little, then came back out, handed over the towels and walked outside. It was still pouring out. The same man then insisted on running to his car to get his personal umbrella for us. He returned with the umbrella. My daughter used it as she got our car, then returned it to him. We were so impressed with Wild Leap for many reasons: the food was delicious, the drinks were excellent, and the service was superb. Thank you, Wild Leap, for playing an integral role in giving us a wonderful day in Atlanta!

Parking can be a little confusing at first, but there's a huge parking lot basically right behind (or in front) of the place. They have quite a few beers on tap, so if you like beer, you will definitely find something you like. They also have slushie drinks and then you can make your own well drink if you want too. They don't serve food, but they do occasionally have food trucks on site. Wild Leap has two levels, but the lower level is where the party is. The TVs are all down there, and they have some nice outdoor seating. The staff is all super friendly too. Happy to help! While Wild Leap is quite nice, it's super far from my home in Chamblee. I probably won't come back anytime soon, unless someone is having an event here.

Just a warning, the space inside is pretty small--typically there's optional seating outside, but it's really chilly at the moment (although they have heaters)--but there's more seating downstairs in The Victorian Atlanta plant shop. I didn't realize that the two were connected! FYI, if you sit downstairs, you'll be seated next to where the live music performers will be playing, so it will be louder there. As for the drinks, I tried the Zombie. I loved it so much, I ordered a second one instead of trying a different one! It tasted sweet and slightly tropical with the rum and spiced liqueur. It also had some absinthe, which I was worried about when I first ordered it since I hate the taste of it (not a big fan of black licorice flavors), but I didn't taste it at all! Overall, this place had such a great vibe to it!

The indoor seating is hit or miss as they have one couch that is really low to the ground and uncomfortable to sit on but the other couches are comfy. The cocktails here are delicious.
