It's on the side of other buildings like they all share on structure and divided it up, but the interior is much bigger than expected. It kind of felt like a long hallway, but that may be due to how it was pretty empty upon arrival though it got pretty busy once night fell. From what I understand, the menu changes every few months or so. What you see in reviews may not be on the menu when you visit, but don't let that deter you! The food will still be good. They have a good grasp on flavors all around the world, and it's a fancier take on what would otherwise be considered comfort food. At least, that's how I felt ordering the oxtail lasanga. Like, WOW. Beautifully delicious. The tomatoes on the side packed such a punch. Tiny flavor bombs for sure. I really jumped straight to the best thing of the night in my review, but it honestly was everything I wanted once I saw it on the menu. Going back to the beginning though... the apps? Tasty. The salmon empanadas were a little dry, but seasoned well. I believe the (collard green) hushpuppies are a mainstay item, and it's truly for a good reason. Such a classic bite, and it's easily shareable too. For the jerk duck wings, I preferred the mango salad underneath it. The flavor overall wasn't bad, but duck has such a distinct taste that it overpowered the jerk seasoning. The wings weren't spicy either, though the mango had a little bit of a kick. I was a little too focused on my lasagna, but I did try a little of the grilled Moroccan lamb loin (tender) and the suya shrimp jollof pasta (bland, sauce too thin to coat the pasta, but shrimps were so yummy). And we did end with some dessert, which does not disappoint, though it was hard for me to choose.

So I did what I do best and jumped on Yelp for recommendations in the area. Natalie Bianca looked fairly new but the reviews raved about this spot , so I gave it a try. I'm familiar with this area and have tried a few restaurants off Cascade. Once again, no reservations but we will greeted and seated immediately by Courtney, which happens to be one of the co-owners. She gave us the history of the restaurant and the meaning behind the name. Our waitress for the night was Keisha and we weren't sure on what drink to order so she whipped something up behind the bar for my mom and I. Mine had brown liquor and my moms was a mocktail. My drink was decent but my mom enjoyed hers. The menu was pretty simple. We started off with a house salad and their balsamic dressing and this corn appetizer. Both were pretty good. For our big plates my mom had Miss Natalie's Shrimp Pasta and I had the Charbroiled Grilled Chicken. We both enjoyed our meals and time there. I loved their mixed playlist of afrobeats mixed with neo-soul. This is definitely a cute spot for a date night.

They hold a jazz night every Tuesday with live music for a nice chill, yet fun, vibe. Just a warning, the space inside is pretty small--typically there's optional seating outside, but it's really chilly at the moment (although they have heaters)--but there's more seating downstairs in The Victorian Atlanta plant shop. I didn't realize that the two were connected! FYI, if you sit downstairs, you'll be seated next to where the live music performers will be playing, so it will be louder there. As for the drinks, I tried the Zombie. I loved it so much, I ordered a second one instead of trying a different one! It tasted sweet and slightly tropical with the rum and spiced liqueur. It also had some absinthe, which I was worried about when I first ordered it since I hate the taste of it (not a big fan of black licorice flavors), but I didn't taste it at all! Overall, this place had such a great vibe to it!

The indoor seating is hit or miss as they have one couch that is really low to the ground and uncomfortable to sit on but the other couches are comfy. The cocktails here are delicious. There probably isn't a bar in the city that offers as breathtaking of a view as does Moonlight. The panorama of all three of Atlanta's skyscraper centers is clearly visible, along with the historical architecture of Ponce City Market. The crowd is mix of tourists and locals in their 20s and 30s. The cocktails are solid. Food is decent, nothing to rave about, but again, hopefully nobody is here for the food. The lobster roll was very bread heavy and the useless dab of caviar was just a wasteful decoration. Yet, the atmosphere of the place, situated in the beautiful Forth hotel makes Moonlight an incredible spot for drinks.

Please do not expect a full dinner but there are great options to keep the night going. I was kinda sad that both myself and my friend were celebrating our birthday but because we were the same table, we could only get one glass of champagne. A reservation doesn't promise a table right away but keeps you in an active queue. I can't wait to go back again.
