Went around 9pm to grab some fish and shrimp. Checked the reviews but maybe I went on an off night. $25 later we were highly dissatisfied with our food. The fish on both plates as well as the shrimp was overcooked to rude point that I could knock the fish on the table and it sounded like a stone. Never again... ever. The shrimp was seasoned but again overcooked. The fish had no flavor and if I haven't said it enough, overcooked. What a great to-go spot for wings! First time having wings in ATL and these did not disappoint. My main gripe with wings is that they're generally expensive but not very value; this place takes away the hurdle a bit by offering affordable wings! $9 + tax for 10 piece wings w/ fries - while the wings are a bit small, I won't complain about it because it's nearly impossible to find a meal for under $10 these days. Wings and fries were made to order, which was amazing - I received my food while it was still hot, knowing it was made specially for me. I picked the sweet chili sauce and it was delish - perfect balance of sweet and spicy. They offer a ton of flavors, lots to keep you coming back! Note that this is not a restaurant, but rather a stand. Because of this, there is no seating. Some people take it to-go, while others eat it in their car. There's plenty of lot space to tailgate if you want to bring your own chairs and eat outside. I briefly chatted with the owner, and he says he's been in business for about 15 years and loves it! I called to place the order over the phone for myself and a colleague. I placed an order for 10 hot/lemon pepper wings cooked crispy and wet with an order of crispy fries. My colleague ordered 10 hot wings, wet with fries. Our total was $22 (very affordable) I mentioned it was my first time patronizing the business. The man on the phone assured me I would love it. I asked if I was speaking to Rahim (the owner) and he confirmed. I do not have any comments regarding the ambiance, due to the fact it is not an establishment you can enter. It's a walk-up, small mobile unit I believe) in the middle of a retail parking lot. When I arrived, the food was ready to go! I paid cash (but I was asked if I preferred to pay cash or cash app). We didn't order any drinks. The food was hot. I rated my food a 3 out of 5, the hot wing sauce tastes cheap to me or different from what I am used to. Fries were cooked crispy as requested. I ate half my wings. My colleague gave the food a 5 out of 5! So it could have been my taste buds that were off for the day. For the price and convenience, it was fine. I am always skeptical/excited about a true hole in the wall dining experience. I've seen this place several times in passing and always wondered if it was any good. Well, yesterday, I decided to find out. It's a very small little building housed in a shopping center parking lot, but as soon as I got to the window, I was warmly greeted by a man whom I'm assuming is the owner. He was so kind and inviting and made small talk. I ordered a 20 piece wings and fries. I did half Parmesan garlic and half teriyaki. IT WAS ONLY $15! He asked me if I liked my wings crispy and I gave an emphatic "yes"! He said it would be about 15 minutes because every order is made fresh. I ran a quick errand and came back to find my food hot and ready to go. He offered me ranch or blue cheese and I was on my way. When I got home and opened up the boxes, I was pleased with the size of the wings and the wonderful aroma. The wings were delicious and crispy! The flavor of the Parmesan garlic was buttery and savory without being too oily. The teriyaki was exactly what I wanted and even the fries were perfectly salted. So, I've passed this place several times as I occasionally visit Lakewood Amphitheater & Great Smoke, but this was my first time actually trying it. I'll be honest, the few times I passed by, I thought it was a closed; however, it's one of those "hole in the wall" spots that you should NEVER underestimate. The Food: I ordered the 10 piece wings with fries. This only costed $6.49 + tax. Superrrrr cheap! The wings were very good! The Atlanta in me ordered hot/lemon pepper, but they have different flavors to toss your wings. The fries were REALLY good & crispy. I ordered my food over the phone and it only took about 15 minutes until it was ready. Overall, I definitely recommend visiting Rahim's. It's literally an order & pick up spot. The food is very good. Alright let's be real. This isn't the type of spot you're going on Yelp to lookup before sitting down and going with it based on reviews. It's the type of spot you pass by and say 'wings sound good right now' and end up there. But I can review. So I'm gonna! The wings here are good! Like seriously good. They're not jumbo wings, this ain't Taco Mac or anything. Think closer to American Deli and you're on the point. The sauces are simple (the mild is delicious btw) and the fries crunchy and king in my book. You pull up, make your order, chill in your car 15 mins or so and there's food gifted to you.
