Beef bulgogi bao
Danny W.

I took my lunch cravings to Mushi Ni, located in Chattahoochee Food Works--or as I like to call it, Hoochie Works. I ordered beef soup dumplings, a bulgogi bao, a tofu katsu bao, what I thought was a chicken bao (we'll get back to this), and a pork belly bao. Plus, I got the majority of their sauces to try because if we're doing a review, we're going all in, right? Starting with the location, it's located in the food hall so you can either choose to sit down, or take it to go (which I did), and the service was great and easy. If you've ever been to the works then you know it's a food hall with a chill atmosphere. Now on to the sauces they have. I went all out and tried eight: truffle sriracha mayo, bang sauce, sweet chili, lemon herb ranch, hoisin BBQ, chili garlic oil, vegan garlic truffle aioli, and sweet hot mustard. Ranking them? Chili garlic oil was the best in my opinion--oily and flavorful. Sweet chili? Classic perfection. Hoisin BBQ was a smidgen salty--probably because of the hoisin, but still hit the mark. Now, about that "chicken" bao--either they discovered some magic pork-flavored and textured chicken, I'm tripping off acid, or they gave me the wrong one because I swear it was shredded pork. Whatever it was, it was okay, but I feel pretty confident that it wasn't chicken. The beef soup dumplings? Delicious, though the soup mostly soaked into the dough by the time I got home--but hey, still flavorful. The tofu katsu bao? Surprisingly awesome, even for someone who doesn't usually go for tofu. The bulgogi bao was solid across all the sauces (and trust me, I tried them all). Now, for the low point: that pork belly bao. I'm particular about pork belly, and this one had a rubbery fat situation going on--it was like chewing on one of those silicone bracelets. So, that was a no for me. But overall, I left full, happy with most of it, and I'll be back--just maybe next time, I'll make sure I'm getting chicken if I order chicken and not question my sanity!

Love this place. And I love the vibe at Chattahoochee Food Works (it's inside). Got a frozen grapefruit adult slushy from one of the bars and had a great dinner!

Got our meal to go and the bao is pretty good! Very fluffy and flavorful. I recommend all the options outside of the duck. I usually love duck but the confit wasn't done well at all. It was very unseasoned. Pork belly was absolutely delicious as well as crab. Omg! My bowl was chicken and I wouldn't recommend getting that. Definitely don't recommend getting any poultry as you can get that anywhere. Venture out! You will not regret it!

I don't know why we ever skipped over this spot when choosing a place to try but we're glad we tried it! We'll certainly be going back because everything we got was delicious and their vegan-friendly options were delectable!

Wanting something small to accommodate my entree, I decided to get their Pork belly bao. I would give them five stars for the flavor, texture, presentation, but I just cannot justify paying five dollars for one small dish that could easily be 1 bite for some people. Cashier is very friendly. I'd still get something from here, but it is very overpriced.

I love this place! The food was so good. My tofu bowl was so flavorful and I love the fact I could order via a kiosk since it's located in a food hall. The gentleman behind the counter was kind and patient as we decided to add that refreshing jasmine tea. I wish it came in a bigger cup. It wasn't too sweet and although they had paper straws, they did not turn to paper pulp. With it being a food hall, we were able to eat our snack on the patio and enjoyed our veggie dumplings in the delectable sauce. Scallions must be your friend if you order the dumplings and it blessed my tastebuds. The chicken bowl was great with the additional greens. It was very filling and we both took a doggie bag because it was so much food. I'll be back my next time I venture towards Howell Mill.

K Brisket Bao! MUST TRY!!!!

We came here for a food adventure last night. Then we realized that this fine establishment was located inside "The Chattahoochee Food Works".This was the first time we heard of this cool gem. They have a huge selection of Baos. We tasted the Katsu Tofu, Cauliflower, Pork Belly and the chicken. The Katsu Tofu & Cauliflower blew my mind! It wasn't spicy like it said in their menu which was absolutely fine for me due to the absolutely tasty perfection! The hubby & our friend LOVED the pork belly Bao but, we're disappointed with the chicken bao. Come here hungry and bring a bag! Go check out each food establishment and taste the different flavors of the melting pot cultures! There are plenty of seating areas, two main bars and they even have clothing stores inside. The bathrooms were clean which was huge plus. Plenty of parking and the first 2 hours are free. We will be back soon for sure!!!

Great energy, customer service & prices. The employee provided the necessary foodie insight - leading me to try the Vegan Bao (a tad bit too chewy) & the Vegan Wontons - delicious. A simple menu of Baos, Bowls, snacks aka Appetizers, freshly made lemonades & Desserts. There's a sole Vegan treat - Temp Oreo Cookie with Vegan Chocolate that I'll return for. You can hang out on the picnic tables by Mushi Ni, venture amongst the communal indoor/outdoor areas, or on the expansive patio setting. Mushi Ni's counter is a high-level & engaging eatery located inside the Chattahoochee Food Works.

**Food Review: Mushi Filipino Restaurant** I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mushi, a Filipino restaurant that left a positive and lasting impression on me. My experience there was truly delightful, from the welcoming atmosphere to the overall quality of the food and service. ### Ambiance & Service: Mushi exudes a calm and inviting atmosphere. The interior is modern with subtle Filipino touches, giving a nod to tradition while maintaining a clean and contemporary feel. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, greeting guests with warm smiles and ensuring that our needs were met throughout the meal. The service was prompt, with dishes arriving at just the right pace, allowing us to fully enjoy each course without feeling rushed. ### Food: The menu at Mushi offers a variety of traditional Filipino dishes, many of which seem to be crafted with a focus on health-conscious ingredients. It's clear that the kitchen takes care to provide options that aren't just flavorful but also light and wholesome. I started with a flavorful appetizer that struck the perfect balance between fresh ingredients and Filipino spices. The seasoning was spot on -- not overwhelming, but still full of depth. For the main course, I had the classic **adobo**, and I was impressed with how well it was prepared. The chicken was tender, and the sauce had a rich yet well-balanced taste, with just the right amount of tanginess. The portion size was generous, and I loved that the dish wasn't overly greasy, which is often a concern with adobo. The sides, including a serving of **steamed rice** and **vegetables**, were fresh and delicious. I could tell that Mushi makes an effort to keep the dishes healthy without compromising on flavor. The vegetables were cooked to perfection--crispy yet tender--showing a respect for the ingredients and their natural tastes. ### Health Consciousness: One thing I appreciated about Mushi was their commitment to providing healthier Filipino fare. It's easy to assume that Filipino food can be heavy, but Mushi offers lighter alternatives without sacrificing authenticity. I noticed that many dishes seemed to use less oil, and the use of fresh vegetables and lean proteins was a definite highlight. For someone who enjoys Filipino food but is mindful of their health, this is a great choice. ### Overall Experience: I would rate my overall dining experience at Mushi as an 8/10. The food was flavorful, healthy, and satisfying. The service was exceptional, and the ambiance was relaxed yet inviting. While the flavors were authentic, I would have liked a bit more adventurous variety in the menu for those who are looking for something outside of the usual Filipino staples. That being said, if you're in the mood for a delicious, well-prepared Filipino meal in a comfortable setting with an emphasis on healthier options, Mushi is certainly worth a visit. I look forward to returning and trying more of their menu in the future!

Bowl with Beef Brisket

This location is at The Works Westside Food Hall. It's been a pop-up in other locations around the city but same great food. I had never eaten bao buns before and what a treat. Everything is fresh, tasty and seasoned well. The tender, steamed buns, dumplings and rice bowl have heaping amounts of protein. We tried the beef brisket and duck confit. The tea drinks and apple soda are great compliments to the meal. It's a walk up counter with really nice demeanors that will explain the menu in detail. The Works Food Hall is a fun, upbeat atmosphere with several stalls that have counters to sit and eat. If not, there's seating outside on the perimeter of the building and the enclosed patio. I highly recommend and can't wait to get back.

We grabbed a few items from their happy hour menu - bang bang shrimp (only 3 pieces for $8 but they were nice big pieces) and purple sweet potato fries (my favorite of the night. Battered with tempura, covered with salty and was so good)! We ordered additional items - calamari (it was nicely cooked and soft), katsu bun (my hubby's favorite as the bun was soft and the pork was thinly pounded and crispy from the breading, pork kimchi fried rice (I opted for no egg. Had tons of pork pieces but really no kimchi flavor and was definitely on the sweeter side) and green beans (nicely cooked with bits of char with a sweet sauce). Their must-get drink though is the Thai tea martini! And for dessert we ordered additional items mango sticky rice. The rice could have been cooked a little longer but loved the mango sorbet and coconut cream it came with. We really enjoyed everything and looking forward to the next time we come back.

I had never heard of Hankook Taqueria, however the reviews were amazing and the photos made me hungry. LoL! Arriving at Hankook Taqueria, I am so glad I arrived early as the parking lot is very small and fills up very quickly. From the time I arrived until the time E pulled up, 20 minutes had passed and the parking lot was loaded. I knew then that I was in for a treat. Walking into Hankook Taqueria, the establishment is very straightforward. You walk through the door, the food line is in front of you. A few tables and booths to your right. And, the drink machine to your left. Boom! That's it. That's your tour. lol! As I got in line, I already knew what I wanted. Based on the pictures I had viewed on Yelp, I was ready to order. The line moved quickly and we were up to the register in no time. The young lady behind the register was very pleasant. She greeted me with a smile, and was ready for me to place my order. I decided to get the Beef "Bul Gogi" Burrito and Fries. The Beef "Bul Gogi" is beef marinated in a sweet/savory Korean BBQ sauce and served in a burrito wrap with Kimchi Fried Rice and the fixings. Oh yes... I needed this. Of course I decided to get the combo and pair it with fries. OhMyGoodness!!!!! I had no idea that food could be so good. The beef was tender and well seasoned. The Korean BBQ Sauce paired so well with the natural juices of the beef. The Kimchi Rice (my first time having it) was amazing as well. I provided an added texture of chewy goodness. The flavor profile of the rice was a nice balance of savory and heat. The heat wasn't a hot spice but it was a flavor spice that kicked the beef and bbq sauce up a notch. This was a true 10/10. The fries were an experience themselves as well. They were fried to golden perfection and the coating on them made them even better. They weren't too salty nor were they bland, they maintained the natural potato flavor and had the right level of salt to enhance the flavor just enough to make you lick your fingers. All I know is that Hankook Taqueria is the bombbbbbbbb and I am hooked. I have to go back now and try the Beef "Bul Gogi" nachos, quesadilla, and loaded fries.
