Dinning Room

Super casual and reliable spot for when you just have to have your teriyaki bowl. Big portions and good flavor. You will be full and satisfied. Friendly staff and clean dinning room. Take out and dine in friendly. Very solid spot.

Large Chicken Katsu Bowl with a massive Chicken Eggroll and teriyaki sauce
Perry R.

I will preface this by saying this is a legitimate review lol. Great service, extremely quick preparation, the food is awesome, the eggrolls are arguably some of the best I've ever had. The large bowls are huge, noodles great, I've had the spicy orange chicken, spicy teriyaki, and chicken katsu and all honestly equally good in their own way. Never eaten inside but the ambiance is chill, may have to pop a squat some time.

Small portion of bowls

I used to LOVE this place when I first moved to atl in 2018. Now ordered thru DOORDASH, the rice was undercooked, it was greasy and very small portion. Very disappointing

Spicy Chicken Teriyaki Bowl

This place was good in beginning when they first open. Now it's like they aren't putting in any effort. Noodle are over cooked and stick together. The meat just tasted like chicken with siracha. Everyone in there seems to just be bored.

interior

I'm visiting Georgia and feeling hungry. Luckily I came across this place. The interior looked nice and clean and the service was good. The servers were nice, and the food came quickly. How the restaurant works is you choose protein, then a base (rice or noodles) and then vegetables. My favorite out of what we ordered was the spicy teriyaki chicken; however, everything was pretty good.

Crab ragoons & egg roll
Valori N.

First timer experience. Food presentation was good. Food was made to order so that's a plus. Kitchen looked clean and they have 100 score rating with health department. Overall taste is great. I got the chicken teriyaki bowl combo that comes with a drink & egg roll. I did upgrade to fried rice. I also got a 4 ct crab ragoons order too. The ragoons could be filled more but they tasted good otherwise. The sauce they give with egg roll & the ragoons are good! I will be back. Thank you.

Ordered the cheesy potato corn for an appetizer since I love corn cheese. So disappointing. It was French fried covered in cheese with miscellaneous pieces of corn- did not feel cohesive. The ramen was good but they totally mistimed bringing it out. My sushi took close to 30 minutes to come out and the ramen was brought out first. So by the time the sushi came out, my partner was done eating. The sushi roll was not worth the wait. They charged over $2 to add cream cheese. Overall not sure I would return. Food is pricey and 2/3 dishes were disappointing.

Our water glasses were always full, and they checked on us frequently to make sure we wanted nothing. The food was very good. I had a couple of sushi rolls which were expertly prepared and seemed generously sized. At the suggestion of my waitress, I tried a mango crunchy roll. I have never had mango in a roll before, and I found it was quite good. My friend had vegetable tempura and some gyoza. She seemed to really enjoy both. And the environs were comfortable, casual. Nothing overly fancy, and still tastefully appointed the way you might expect of any Japanese establishment. It was quiet and easy to converse with my friend. I would gladly go back. Knowing it came with soup, which was mushroom something or another, I informed them I was VERY allergic to mushrooms, so switch the soup for hot and sour. I also got a side order of pork eg rolls,, which contained 2. I get home, starving, only to find I only received 2/3 proteins and also, that my dinner was covered in mushrooms. Nearly $60 of food and it was now inedible. Additionally, they gave me miso soup, which I freaking hate. Getting a refund was such a pain, however I did get SOME (keyword) money back. I basically spent a fortune on 2 egg rolls. The rest was thrown in the trash.

The service was impeccable and there's even a call button at your booth to discretely call your server. Our Japanese waiter was so friendly and very helpful. Oh and the booths are the way to go. Cozy and intimate so you feel like you're just with the company you came with. Haven't really seen many places like this lately and I must say, it's very appealing. And then there's the food. Every single dish that we had was a wonderful. My Japanese mother thoroughly enjoyed her meal at Nagomiya and commented that it was all very authentic. Her favorite is always chawanmushi (steamed egg) which is usually rare to find at restaurants. And the fish was all very melt in your mouth fresh. But not only do they do sushi well, their tempura was perfectly battered and fried and the hamachi kana was cooked just right. Highly recommend!

The restaurant itself is charming as they have private booths with curtains, which makes for a cozy dining experience. I ordered the sukiyaki with a mini chirashi and shared the okonomiyaki. The chirashi was the really good because the fish was fresh and flavorful. However, the sukiyaki was a bit too salty for my palate, and the beef was slightly overcooked. The okonomiyaki was enjoyable, though I personally would have loved a bit more sauce to round it out. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but there is definitely some room for refinement with their main dishes.

So me and my big back strutted in and came across this lovely restaurant and noticed they had an assortment of different bao. I chose three different proteins. And I thoroughly enjoyed them all! I got the pork belly bao, the beef Bulgogi style bao, and the hot honey shrimp bao. They were so flavorful and delicious and that bun so moist and perfect. Except for the wonderful lady that gave me my order, It's a pretty much non-personable restaurant. You're just pretty much placing your order at a kiosk. But it does make it easy. Just know what you want before you walk up to the kiosk because if you get a little overwhelmed with the options like me and take a long time you might end up with the long line of hungry people behind you lol Inside the hall, there's plenty of places to sit and the vibe is cool. They have events inside the hall by the way as well during the week, so if you stop by to grab a bao then maybe you'll able to take advantage of an event.

I initially planned for the bao buns only, but the prices were quite reasonable thanks to the $16 lunch special - so I thought I'd try a bit more. So glad that I did. Mushi Ni has an electronic ordering system which was really easy to navigate. I chose my lunch special and added in my dumplings, and poof - the order was on the way to the kitchen. I walked around the food hall for a few so I don't really know how quickly my order was completed, but when I returned, the guy behind the counter saw me and started bagging it up. I found a seat outside for some natural lighting and started snapping away. I really went to enjoy and share the bao buns but figured I'd have a quick bite of the dumplings and keep it pushing. Listen. WOW. I was immediately taken aback because, what?! They were spicy, so savory and full of pork, with a little punch of lime in there somewhere. I didn't even need to have a second bite before I decided that I *had* to order a second round. Wow. The fries were also phenomenal! Super crunchy, the seasonings on top were such a nice touch. And the trend continued with the fluffy, flavorful bao buns. Seriously just an all-around amazing experience. I thought I'd enjoy their food but this experience exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to have more of those dumplings!

Parking was simple enough and free, albeit a little tight. I love the moody but light interior of this restaurant. It's not particularly upscale, but it is on the nicer end of a casual restaurant. Seating is tight but it didn't detract from the experience. Our table was a little wobbly, though. The bathrooms are tucked away in the very back of the restaurant and were tidy and clean with a nice design. The food was truly delicious. The bao duo was a great starter. We got one with pork, the other chicken. I appreciated that the flavor profiles of each were so different! We also tried the umami rice bowl... perfect seasoning and portion for an app. For ramen I had the truffle shoyu and husband had a spicy tonkotsu. We both added extra protein (pork) because most ramen places play around with the meat portion LOL. But the noodles, the egg, and all the accoutrements were texturally excellent. SO GOOD. They have a few beers on tap, a decent cocktail menu and wine. I grabbed a SauviB and hubs had a beer. It was the perfect balance to all the delicious umami flavors we experienced. Service was lovely as the place is small, and everything was clean. Our tab ran us about $88 before tip so come ready to spend. But the quality was worth it! I'll return when I'm craving ramen.

The broth was flavorful, the noodles were good, and the pork was delicious. My issue was that there was barely any broth -- maybe about a cup -- and it didn't even fill the bowl halfway.
