Service was amazing by Ana. The food was delicious. And the nutella cappuccino was tasty. Overall a great experience

The food is delicious! I got the Cuban Ruben, so darn good. Loaded with Swiss cheese and slabs of ham and pastrami. Luca was an amazing waiter right on point! Luca You Got This! The mozzarella sticks were the best I've had in 60 yrs.

Fried Chicken Sandwich and fries

Great atmosphere and great music. Bottomless mimosas are a plus! I will be back and I recommend!

Atmosphere is a vibe. Food was not a vibe and cold ... Waffles were hard. I got a tomato soup advertised as creamy and it was legit like a salsa dip.

Nutella Cappuccino

Ana was absolutely wonderful. She gave excellent service from the moment that we walked in super attentive and kind. The atmosphere is beautiful and clean. The food was awesome. She did tell us that they were out of strawberries, but it was still amazing.! Side note: on Yelp, it shows that Constitution Plaza is permanently closed but it's not closed. It only gives the option to choose Hartford, however, when I clicked on their barcode, I was able to locate this location.

Mac and Mac & Cheese (CB)

Service was bad, waiter went missing and had to go up to the counter to get what we needed, was out of almost everything. Never asked for refills on drinks especially for water and had to ask multiple times and go to counter. It was a very slow day with 4 people and had full staff. Would not recommend

Me and my wife went on a trip to Hartford Connecticut. Me and my wife were looking for a place to eat brunch and found the restaurant on yelp. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted by staff and seated immediately. My wife ordered the Southern Quesadilla and Americano. My wife loved the Quesadilla and the Americano. I had the breakfast tacos with Latte. The breakfast tacos came with eggs, cheese, bacon, sausage and the taco shell was a pancake. The taco was phenomenal and the latte hit the spot for a cold day. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. The ambiance is very welcoming and customer service friendly. A great place to go for brunch or dining experience.

This place is FUN. It's brightly decorated has couches two bars one is a mimosa bar. The food is superb and servings are huge and shareable. The coffee drinks are Instagram worthy The service is 5 star especially at the mimosa bar. What a fun place to eat at while visiting Hartford.

Mocha latte

Came here on a whim based on positive reviews online. We were in town, staying just down the street. Fun looking spot inside. Lots to look at. Service was slower, but our server was friendly and apologized for the delay. The food was not very flavorful (waffles and bacon), but the latte was great. Nice spot to grab a bite to eat but wouldn't go out of my way.

Easy parking just around the corner

Quick stop for a coffee break. The best Honey Lavander Latte I had in a while! Perfection! Taste and presentation! I have to return for brunch! Fast and friendly service! Very cool ambiance!

We were recommended this place by a local, and we quickly regretted it. Between waiting a long time to be served our drinks, while we were actively sitting at the bar, even longer to be served our food, and the food being cold and tough, the manager ended up comping our meals for us. I had a chicken Cesar salad, and the chicken was tough as cardboard. Very dry, and just crumbled apart when I would pick it up. Let a friend taste it to be sure I wasn't losing my mind, and her comment was that it "was like she was chewing wood-chips". The side of avocado I ordered was browning & looked dry and rubbery. A couple of us had gotten eggs, which came in a skillet, but both the eggs and skilled were ice cold when they arrived. One friend had ordered bacon extra crispy, but received near translucent rubbery bacon when it arrived. The vibe of it all was very "modern", a bit "hipster", and it was very aesthetic. The people working were fantastic to be around in terms of personality, and level of care, it was just the quality of the food and speed of service that were major issues.

Hot chocolate

Very nice ambience to start with. Felt like Premium place as soon as we entered. Greeted with smile and immediately got seated as it was Wednesday morning and we were early. Had avocado toast and color full waffles with coffee and hot chocolate and sweet potatoes fries. Food was great, service was also at par and seating arrangement was nice. Presentation of food was a notch higher than usual and you can see why this place is famous for Instagram. We found parking just outside, on road. They also have parking garage nearby. Overall a great find in hartford.

Went to catch up with some college friends. Food was not good but the drinks and vibes made up for it. Great place to create content.

Ask the Community - The Place 2 Be

Is this place appropriate for kids?

Not really kid friendly. Unless your kid is super mature.

We would like to plan a Baby shower brunch on Easter at the downtown location. In the booze garden. Is that something you could accommodate?

If you're going to do a baby shower it should be at their original location. The downtown one is very loud and the west Hartford one is small. The original has the best "family feel" and would be able to accommodate a baby shower.

Do you take reservations?

No, they do not take reservations. It's a first come first served basis. You go online and add your name to the wiatlist and wait for your table to be ready.

We are visiting and would like to come to this location. Is this the dwntwn hartford? Do we need reservatioNs?

Yes- make sure to go to this location (constitution plaza) it's way cooler than the other one on Franklin Ave. I would highly recommend reservations and still be prepared to wait a little with that.

"Nothing you could say could tear me away from my guy…read moreNothing you could do, 'cause I'm stuck like glue to my guy" (Mary Wells) We took a morning coffee break, and had a wonderful time chatting, relaxing, sipping our drinks, and enjoying the friendly, mellow, and very chill atmosphere at the Café by New England Coffee Guy. They have plenty of seating, some upholstered furniture and we saw a few Friday morning telecommuters working on their laptops and sipping their coffees. Our order was a Chai Latte and a Cold Brew - each was $5. The pours were very large, and I swear that my cold brew was the very best I've ever had. I love coffee, drinking it hot or cold, and what I had here is in my all-time Top Five Percent. It was that good. I had a sip of my wife's Chai Latte and thought it was excellent as well. What really impressed me were the flavors of both drinks- not overpowering, but strong enough to appreciate them. The Coffee Guy has it all - specialty coffees, matcha, chai, espresso drinks, and pastries and sweet treats to pair with your coffee cup. We couldn't resist grabbing a few on our way out, and we took home a box with a Spinach croissant, iced blueberry scone, and a cruffin (croissant/muffin hybrid). We loved our visit to the Coffee Guy, and I was so impressed by the total experience, I just subscribed to their newsletter. So the next time we're looking for a midday break or afternoon pick-me-up..... I know a guy!

Not too sweet but not bitter either. We talked to the owner for a little bit and he was very nice and personable. We will be back in the summer with our dog to sit out on the patio.

Considering other breakfast options on this side of CT this is why Kens get a 5*…read more.. Kens is a small breakfast place in glastonbury, and there always seems to be a line out the door (for a good reason). Once inside tho, the waitresses and busboys are always super friendly. I love that the waitresses always stop by for a quick chat when they see you. The eggs benedict is super amazing here. Actually everything is but thats my fav. French toast super amazing too, especially when they have the egg nog French toast on special. They always have two flavored coffee options which i love. And the home fries are always well seasoned and crispy on the outside and oft in the middle. The only downside really to kens is the wait which sometimes goes out the door. They don't take reservations and they don't have a sign in, so it kinda sucks for someone like me with Rheumatoid arthritis because I cant stand for very long, so we cant go on the weekends. But we went twice during the week this week and the wait was very short. So if you want a great breakfast at a decent price, nice wait staff, and you're near glastonbury, Kens is a place to check out for sure!

We had Sue handle all of our orders and she was more than accommodating for our group of almost a dozen people. Separate checks, a magnitude of questions, and lots of repeated statements from us and her. She has a patience of a saint and such a friendly demeanor. I love the atmosphere and the menu was designed by Sue herself, so we were able to get the best recommendations. Lots of omelets, French toasts, wraps, etc. All the food was amazing, but a common complaint I heard from the group was that the sandwiches were a bit dry or needed a sauce to push it to great. Definitely check this out. Be prepared for a wait and a deliciously good time.

In New York, we would call this a hole in the wall. Very tiny space off the street. Counterspace…read moreand four large, basic wooden tables. You can do takeout or dine-in, but even when dining in, you look at a menu, pay at the counter, and then it eventually comes to your table. I was lucky enough to come in when there was only one table and some takeout customers. As I left, several more people came in, so this place can become crowded. Aurora's is Guatemalan. They have a lot of brekkie stuff--huevos rancheros, omelettes with veggies, sausage, peppers, ham, sausage, etc. Breakfast sandwiches (BEC, beans, queso, ham, turkey, avocado, cheeses). Burritos (chorizo, loaded, veggies). Appetizers, like tacos, nachos, tostadas, and more. Sandwiches (burgers, steak sandwiches). Bowls and salads (house green, classic caesar, burrito bowl). Quesadillas and wraps (turkey avocado, buffalo chicken, churrascov, burrito, chicken bacon ranch). I had the Churrasco. It had a lot of fat, but it was more steak than fat, and the fat came off easily. The meat was tender and fall apart. I ordered the fries, but got rice, and that was okay. The black beans were great. The salad was a little palate cleanser. The thing I LOVED, ADORED, would help me ignore the fact the restaurant was so cold that I had to keep my coat on and shivered throughout my stay--the drinks. They have these great fruit drinks--grilled pineapple lemonade (my choice), homemade horchata, fresh melon juice, watermelon juice, etc. My choice, the grilled pineapple lemonade--I literally sucked that stuff down. It was fresh, refreshing, not too sweet, but just sweet enough. Let's go back to my elder millennial roots--"It's all that and a bag of chips." Would come here again, food, drinks, and service are great, but turn up the heat please!

I ordered from Aurora's via DoorDash and had a great experience overall. The carne asada Guatemalan…read moresandwich (Shuco) was hearty and flavorful -- the grilled steak was juicy, tender, and well-seasoned. The sandwich had that street food-style flavor I was craving, and the bread was soft but held everything together nicely. The sweet plantains were tasty and ripe, but a little on the greasy side for my liking. The watermelon juice was fresh, light, and refreshing -- not overly sweet, which I appreciated. Even though I didn't dine in, I've passed by the spot and it always smells amazing and has a warm, welcoming vibe. My order was neatly packed, and everything arrived intact, which shows care and attention to detail on their end. That kind of service goes a long way, even through delivery! Can't wait to stop by in person soon -- if the food tastes this good through DoorDash, I can only imagine how much better it is fresh off the grill.
