The place was so clean and staff was very friendly. Tried the Jammin Ham, Pizza Palooza, and hot wings. Someone in the kitchen dropped some of the wings so we were a few short and they let us know upfront that they were cooking more then came out with the fresh additions with extra sauces so we could try more flavors. Great service, we love that. The Jammin Hammin was my personal fav, I love hot honey, it was well balanced. I love a slightly crispy crust that's snaps holds up the slice well. Bingo was so surprisingly fun, the prizes were certificates to various foods and merch but the slight competition made everyone so lively. Everyone was having a good time, we even stayed for another round and kept the conversations flowing so we enjoyed our dinner out. The host was a darling, welcoming everyone and keeping the vibes going. They told us they think they will host it on Wednesdays so I'll keep an eye out for it. Def will be back!

And, to me a good restaurant means checking on your customers, but, they are a pizza joint. So I guess this doesn't apply. I guess they expect the customers to clean up after themselves. My pizza tonight was burnt, and had a bitter taste to it? Do the employees not pay attention to customers and cook time on their product? Sorta sad that even though they are new, no quality service and product.

First, a huge shoutout to Hector, the owner, who was incredibly kind and friendly over the phone while placing our order. He made the whole process seamless and stress-free, which is everything when you're planning a kids' party. The pizza itself was AMAZING. As someone who is plant-based, it's so refreshing to find a pizza spot that isn't exclusively vegan but still offers delicious, well-thought-out vegan options. That can be hard to come by and Perfect Pizza absolutely delivers. Every pizza we ordered was a hit. Even our non-vegan guests were shocked at how good the vegan pizzas were. They couldn't stop talking about them! We'll definitely be coming back again. So grateful to have a place like this that truly caters to everyone.

From the moment we called, the staff was friendly and made sure to repeat our order to confirm everything was correct. We were told it would be ready in 20 minutes, and they were right on time. When my husband picked up the pizza, he noticed how clean and welcoming the shop was. The staff greeted him with enthusiasm, and our pizzas were ready -- hot and fresh. We ordered "The Works" and a cheese with jalapeño. Both were flavorful and fresh. Great service and great pizza -- we'll definitely be back when we're in the area and support a local small business.Thank you Perfect Pizza team!

This may have been my first visit to a Shakey's where I wasn't wearing a baseball uniform…read more I think the last time I went to Shakey's (not this location) was after a Little League game--one that I played in. That was [insert ridiculously large number here] years ago. There used to be Shakey's locations everywhere. If you played sports as a kid way back when, your team went to Shakey's to celebrate a win. Or you drowned your sorrows in pitchers of Coke or Root Beer after a loss. The location in Escondido is massive. The main dining room is humongous and they even have a nice video game room. The pizza is about on par with Pizza Hut quality and that's fine with most people, especially if you have young kids. And, of course, what visit to Shakey's is complete without some Mojo Potatoes? Basically, they are well-seasoned thick potato slices. I like them and there's also some added nostalgic value there. On the negative side, our food took forever to make which was a bit of a drag. Also, there were multiple uncleaned tables on a Saturday night that remained uncleaned during our entire visit. My guess is the restaurant was short-staffed (both front and back of house) which doesn't make a lot of sense on a busy Saturday night. They've got beer and a salad bar (now that's a real unicorn these days) and you can even get anchovies on your pizza (save your hate, they're good). They also have TVs everywhere so if there is sports being played somewhere, this is the place to watch it. I probably wouldn't return for the pizza and certainly not for the dirty tables. The Mojos are solid and if you have young children, are looking to catch a game, or if you want some decent nostalgia, it's worth a visit. Bonus points if you come dressed in your old Little League uniform.

Unfortunately, we decided to stray from our usual order the other night and try the "shells," and it turned out to be a big disappointment. I assumed this meant stuffed shells... the classic ricotta-filled pasta. Instead, what arrived was a large bowl of empty, medium-sized shells with marinara sauce poured on top. In both presentation and taste, it felt no different than plain spaghetti, just in a different shape. It was unappealing to look at and, honestly, unappetizing. While this may have been an oversight on my part when reading the menu, the dish itself was extremely underwhelming for the price. The garlic bread that came with it was soggy and lacked flavor, which only added to the disappointment. The salad, however, was good and the one bright spot of the meal. Still, it was frustrating to spend that much money only to throw away nearly half of the food. That said, if you're coming here for pizza, you won't be disappointed... it's still excellent and worth the visit. I've also heard good things about their lasagna. Just be cautious when ordering anything described as "shells" and make sure it's what you're actually expecting.
