After hopping on the trusty Yelp app, I came across Pahua's Bakery & Pizza. I stopped by on a Thursday late morning to place a to-order. Ambiance (2.5/5): Pahua's is no frills. It's definitely more of a grab-and-go type of spot. With it being up in the mountains, I didn't even have any service inside. But anyhow, I was there for takeout so ambiance wasn't important to me. Service (4/5): I placed my order at the counter and my food was ready within the timeframe promised. No complaints. Drinks (N/A): I didn't order any beverages. Food (4/5): As the name entails, Pahua's has both pizza and baked goods. Most of the baked goods are of the Mexican variety. Conchas, churros, etc. I went with a pepperoni pizza. The prices are reasonable here, especially by California standards, which I appreciated. Solid pizza too. Definitely better than the pizza you'll find at a chain. It was exactly what I had hoped for.

My sis, her hubby and I went to check it out and we were not disappointed. I had sautted calimari with garlic and white wine sauce that exquisite followed by Imperial pasta in white creamy sauce that had chopped shrimp and clams which was also super delicious. Our server was very friendly, personable and extremely helpful. I highly recommend Dominic's Gourmet Italian to anyone heading to that area of Escondido.

There was an antique car show taking up every spot, but I know that's not the norm. The breadsticks were tasty and came with an outstanding red sauce. The burrata was yummy. I heard the Diavola sauce is spicy and really good. I went with the Chicken Marsala and it was solidly good. The chicken was tender and juicy. The pizza was delicious, and the burrata was yummy. My son had the linguini and meatballs. He thought it was huge and very good. My daughter had the Alfredo... My fettuccine is better Our server was friendly and attentive. For two adults and two kids including tip it came out to $100. Overall, a good, reliable Italian meal! No complaints!

Last night I had a hankering for some pizza and I wanted to step out of those revolving doors. Through a delivery app, Express Pizza was the first option to come up (though I did look through other options). The Supreme Pizza from Express seemed like a good option (but I was highly tempted to get the Hawaiian because YES, pineapple DOES belong on pizza!). 20 minutes later my pizza arrived. I was VERY pleased with the product. Oh my gosh, it was delicious. Huge chunks of sausage, plenty of pepperoni, onions, and peppers. The right amount of sauce. The crust wasn't too crusty. It wasn't too doughy. It was just right. I got the medium, and it was a nice size. I even added a note asking politely for a side of marinara sauce, which they obliged, and it was perfect for dipping the crust in. Granted, my review is based on one pizza. I have not had their wings or sides, but I can guarantee I'll be getting that Hawaiian pizza next. Great place to at least try.

Every time I'm in the area my friends and I come here because the food is so good. We usually get the lasagna which is fantastic but this time I got pizza. The pizza is delicious. However I did enjoy the robust sauce and oozing cheese. The bread surprisingly held the sandwich together really well and had a crunchy crust. Chicken Parmigiana Spaghetti (B Tier) - Once again the chicken gets drowned out by tomato sauce leading to not being able to taste any of the chicken. The chicken was also overcooked/dry. Lilian All White Pizza w/ Sausage (C Tier) - This pizza was HEAVY. White sauce surprisingly wasn't as pronounced. Cheese was gooey and melted well. Pizza crust was toasted well. I'd definitely recommend not getting the sausage as it made the dish way too salty. Our server was phenomenal and consistently checked up on us if we needed anything. The restaurant gave that classic vibe of when I was a kid eating out with my family at our local Italian diner.

The $30 price tag is average for a 18" pizza. I also ordered the fried zucchini for $6.99 that was solid. It was fried well and tasted good. The food is solid. The 2 minor complaints I have is the bacon chicken ranch pizza didn't have too much bacon on it and they charge $0.95 for ranch. I like getting ranch with my pizza, and it'd be nice to get 1-2 ranches for free when ordering the largest pizza. This isn't a sit down place where you're served, so I don't expect the service to be top notch. However, after finishing the pizza, I took the pie box with all the trash in it to the trashcan and realized that it doesn't really fit well since the box is so big. I took the box to an employee and asked if they have a bigger trash can and he just said "no" and "sorry". He didn't take the trash or tell me to leave it anywhere so I took it myself to the trashcan and bent the box in half so it'd fit in the trashcan. I will note last time I was here they did take the box with the trash, so it's not always like that. Overall not a bad place if you want to get quick pizza without breaking the bank.
