Been here a couple times for a quick lunch. Dedicated parking stalls and ample patio seating with umbrellas for shade. Menu is pretty straightforward and I appreciate that this is one of the few places I can get a Chicago Dog. Food comes out quick. Will come back each time I crave a specialty hot dog.

We were craving some lobster rolls and this place definitely hit the spot. Quick service and different options to choose from. I got the New England lobster rolls - a classic 10/10 and my husband got the 17 hands one with extra lobster and rated it 10/10 as well. Definitely recommend this place if you want to fulfill that craving and don't want to deal with all the fancy frills of a restaurant. Will have to come back to try the hot dogs!

I was craving a hot dog randomly and decided to come here based on the amazing menu and reviews. It's a little hut in the parking lot of Home Depot. Got the Chicago dog which was slightly under $10. (Inflation is real.) The peppers had a slight kick-- good. The pickle was delicious. The hot dog itself was ok. The bread looked amazing with the poppyseeds on it, but it sort of squishes and deflates as you hold onto your hotdogs. The bun kept getting more and more squished as I tried holding it in different positions. Would've preferred a more substantial bun. Hotdog was ok. Sort of satisfied my hotdog craving but may need to get at least 2 dogs to fill you up. I had to get a protein bar afterwards.

Perfect little spot to grab lunch. So many options. I try something new each time and it's all been great.

Anytime we are in the area we gotta stop at Duffs Doggz, we love the hotdogs they serve everything is always fresh. The outdoor seat is nicely setup, the staff is always friendly and welcoming. The gentleman that took are oder at the time was the only person there but he did a great job making our hotdogs we greatly appreciate all his hard work, thank you.

I am so glad that this North County favorite is still going strong! I remember going to a Chicago dog restaurant near my house as a kid, and this is a great bit of nostalgia for me. If you know me, you know I love toppings and condiments. The more and the crazier the better. I want my food to be ostentatious and outspoken, LOL. And I'm never disappointed at Duff's! Do you want chili, fried jalapenos, Fritos, corn relish, guacamole, pickles, or bacon on your hot dog? Good, because these are just some of the toppings on the monster creations available to you! This time around, I tried the Slam-Diego dog. Having just been to the Padre game (and not having had a hot dog there), it spoke to me. It's an XL hot dog on a pretzel bun, with mayo, bacon, guacamole, and corn relish that they make in-house. It was delicious, and I got it to go. I made my neighbors in the movie jealous, by eating it before the movie started. I transports well, in a tray and double-wrapped in foil. They also are part of the I Birthday club, so this hot dog was free for my birthday! Make sure to sign up, and come by once you get your email! Definitely come by and grab a hot dog, if you are in the area. Look for the small building at the edge of the Home Depot, with the patio seating, and happy people stuffing dogs in their faces!

First time coming here and my fiancé and I LOVED it! We are suckers for Kraut dogs and they had such a delicious one with the spicy mustard and the celery salt! The buns are nice and soft/steamed, and the snap of the dog was definitely there! Ambiance was awesome--neighborhood regulars were there and the service was sweet. Lobster roll was amazing--no skimpiness there and the chunks were full on claw meat! it was great. New regulars here ;)

Duffs Dogz is a hidden gem in Carmel Mountain! It's a hot dog hut located in the Home Depot parking lot and delivers big on flavor. I've been here plenty of times for one thing and one thing only - the lobster roll. It is an absolute delight. It comes with avocado and hot butter... you must try it There is only outdoor seating and has a casual atmosphere. Service is always pleasant. Try this place asap, they have fantastic hot dogs (and veggie dogs) as well.

The lighting is off! Top is the BLD Dogg "Breakfast Lunch Dinner" and bottom is the IN-N-OUT Dogg. I loved the IN-N-OUT Dogg!

Hot dogs are great. Hot dogs with toppings and sauce and an amazingggly toasted and buttered bun? Even better. This spot is in the parking lot of the Home Depot but it's cute how they have tables with seating in front! There's one person working but they work fast and load up the hot dogs well! Great service and delicious hot dogs. I liked the in n out dogg a lot! It would be super cool to see a Seattle Dog on the menu :)

The chili cheese dog that is no longer.

As you shouldn't wait any longer to grab one of these tbh i don't do many reviews but this deserves a few 's. Dare I say head to Costco across the street for something not even half the quality of this number.

Are your hot dogs natural casing? I'm here for the snap and crunch...

What is the casing of the hotdog make? Is it pork?

Our hot dogs are 100% beef, Vienna beef hot dogs.

I even remember when it was a participating vendor at a now defunct local food festival. Their current location is a corner shack in the East Village section of downtown next to The Church by The Lost Abbey. Everything in this area involved curbside metered parking or a paid surface lot. The shack was part of a large courtyard with multiple picnic tables for seating. Cornhole boards and a flat screen TV were set up for entertainment. You order using a tablet next to the service window. The menu used to be strictly bacon-wrapped hot dogs (i.e. Sonoran style). It has now expanded to include burgers, sides, appetizers, and desserts. A fountain station had dispensers for sodas, lemonade, and agua frescas. The hot dogs were divided into two sections, Classic and Signature. I selected two of the classics for my takeout order. The first was a Baja (grilled onions, pico, chipotle, avocado crema) and the second was a TJ Style (grilled onions, tomatoes, mayo, mustard, ketchup). The sweet bun used to hold everything resembled that used for a lobster roll. The flavor combinations were hearty and not spicy which was what I preferred. The grilled onions added some char and texture to the jumbo beef hot dogs. What has changed significantly over time were the prices. Each of my choices cost $8.99. Some of the other varieties were as high as $12 which is insane for a loaded hot dog. I did appreciate the bacon wrapping to the franks, but I can't see myself coming to East Village that often for these products because there are plenty of diverse dining options that are more satisfying in this part of downtown.

Yet, it stands out as one of my favorites, and I find myself ordering from them frequently. One of the things you will notice as soon as you approach the place is how clean and net their food truck is. Their menu features burgers, corn dogs, fries, and more, all with a twist and a variety of flavorful options. Among my personal favorites are the Goblin's Club and Jalapeno Popper Corn Dog. The corn dogs are notably large, with a batter that's never oily, always maintaining a tender and flavorful quality. The Animal fries, a perfect side to burgers and corn dogs, are never overly salty, and the generous portions of golden, perfectly cooked fries are a must-try. The Classic Burger and The Jesse Burger are standout choices, boasting substantial sizes with soft and fluffy buns. The sauces and flavors elevate them above your typical burgers - vegan or not. What sets Underdog apart is not just their delicious offerings but also the friendly and accommodating team behind the scenes. They are pleasant individuals dedicated to their advocacy of normalizing delicious plant-based food. I guess the size of sausage doesn't change - they just add mozz to the top for the half and half. I felt a bit shortchanged due to that (minus one star). Place is small but clean, and they've structured it in a way where there's still plenty of small tables around. I remember trying Sonoran-style hot dogs while visiting a friend in Tucson, AZ several years ago…read more After seeing Ochidoggy show up on the activity feed for my connections, I decided to visit this pop-up vendor in the southern part of the Normal Heights neighborhood. The setup was a simple cart under a canopy in a random parking lot on El Cajon Blvd. A few picnic tables with overhead cover were available if you wanted to eat your food on-site. Five different hot dogs along with french fries and a stuffed jalapeno pepper were offered on the menu. A typical Sonoran hot dog has a bacon-wrapped frank topped with pinto beans, onions, tomatoes, and other condiments. It's served on a bolillo bun. The Hot Dog Regular here contained bacon, grilled onion, red onion, tomato, and mayonnaise on a football-shaped bun which made it the closest resemblance to an original Sonoran. I chose two other varieties for my to-go order, a Hot Dog Jumbo and a Hot Dog Chilidogo. The first one had the same ingredients as the Regular with ham and American cheese added. The second one also had the same ingredients as the Regular, however the bacon-wrapped frank was stuffed inside a California pepper with grilled mozzarella cheese on top. Trays of condiments were arranged in front of the cart so you could select additional toppings. Four different sauce bottles were also available for more flavor. As you can see from my photo, both hot dogs were buried under the other components. The right type of bun was used which was very soft. I did feel that a gratuitous amount of mayonnaise was drizzled on top. I didn't add more toppings or sauces because there was already a sufficient spread. I am unsure if there are other businesses in the SD area that serve Sonoran-style hot dogs as I have not actively searched for them. I can say that the products I tasted from Ochidoggy were good enough for a four star rating.
