This is the food trailer located at Orfila Vineyard in Escondido. I usually get the meatball appetizer and it comes with toast on the side. This time it tasted slightly off...like it was cooked too long or something. And then they attempted to cover up that fact with the sauce? The past times I've gotten this it was very good. So hopefully this is a rare experience. It comes with sauce, as a normal part of the dish, and it's great to dip the bread in. Servers are friendly and easy going. I was a tad nervous this last visit because the lady sounded horse while talking and was coughing with a rumbling in her chest. I just hope she wasn't sick! The truck is in the side/back area just past the tent as you head towards the bathrooms. The venue is nicely decorated for the fall and you can sit at the tables under the tent if you'd like. Sometimes the tables are clothed covered. That's a nice touch. This last visit I tried something different by them. The beet salad. It had lentils and blue cheese on it. Though I personally prefer a tad more beets to my beet salads it was a decent choice.

Amazing delicious food. I went to Orfila with my family and we saw all the delicious food rolling out of the food truck, so we had to try for ourselves and we're not disappointed. We had the pepperoni pizza and turkey club. Both were fresh and delicious and made with goos quality ingredients. Food came out pretty fast and the staff was friendly and welcoming.

Processed meat and a pile of nuts for $20. Give me a break this is not a meat and cheese plate

There was an antique car show taking up every spot, but I know that's not the norm. The breadsticks were tasty and came with an outstanding red sauce. The burrata was yummy. I heard the Diavola sauce is spicy and really good. I went with the Chicken Marsala and it was solidly good. The chicken was tender and juicy. The pizza was delicious, and the burrata was yummy. My son had the linguini and meatballs. He thought it was huge and very good. My daughter had the Alfredo... My fettuccine is better Our server was friendly and attentive. For two adults and two kids including tip it came out to $100. Overall, a good, reliable Italian meal! No complaints!

We checked in and were told the wait would be about 20-30 minutes. However, we noticed that other parties who arrived after us were seated before us, and we were given different explanations regarding seating. What was supposed to be a special and happy occasion turned into a disappointing experience. After waiting and seeing others accommodated ahead of us, we ultimately decided to leave and find somewhere else to celebrate. I can't say for certain why this happened, but the experience left us wondering if we were treated differently because we are Black. Regardless of the reason, we left feeling overlooked and unwelcome, and it put a damper on what should have been a memorable graduation celebration for our best friend. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

There's a parking garage that's basically a five minute walk away and validate your parking for the first two hours for free so that is cool! We had reservations, and were quickly accommodated upon arrival. The host was extremely friendly and the environment had a feel good energy vibe. It was a beautiful day to eat on the patio. Everyone was having a great time except for one crying baby lol. But that happens! The food was absolutely delicious, but let me start with that lemon drop martini. Wow! Super delicious. I could've probably drank a dozen of them. The focaccia was cooked perfectly. I thought the Montanara we're going to be like little pizza dough bites that you dip in sauce, but they're actually three giant pizza bites with different sauces and toppings! Very surprising to see, but pleasantly surprised. They were delicious! A nice crispy crust on the outside and a soft fluffy inside. But the star of the show for me, was the pappardelle with the Buona Forchetta (V) SAUCE!!!! Cream, egg yolk, parmigano, spicy marinara, black pepper... and I added crumbled Italian sausage for the win. The vibes were on point, the food was amazing, the drinks were delicious, everything was a win. I would definitely recommend this Italian place to just about anybody. I'm hoping all the other locations are just as good!

It seemed like my experience was more consistent to reviewers on Yelp vs other sites which I was going with as a comparison, and I guess I'm more aligned with Yelpers! I was seriously hoping to like it since I'm gluten sensitive and reviews were mentioning their gluten free pastas were good. But not - I cook better gluten free pasta at home from specific store brought brands of pasta.

The food was absolutely amazing but the evening was really set apart by our waiter Fernando. He was attentive to everyone's needs and made sure we wanted for nothing. He was personable, funny, and made sure everyone in our party had a wonderful time. I personally had the pork chop based on Fernando's recommendation and it did not disappoint. Flavorful, juicy, and a must have if they have it on the menu when you show up. My only other recommendation would be to make sure you request Fernando as your server if you would like to ensure your evening doesn't just go well but perfectly. Mostly dark throughout, red & white checkered tablecloths, chianti bottles everywhere. I was solo and upon entering I was offered what appeared to be the worst possible table in the place, a half banquette staring at a wall. I declined that table and found something more suitable and comfortable with better lighting towards the rear. I immediately began by ordering a half carafe of chianti which came filled to the brim. I also requested some bread. The waitress brought out a couple of empty plates and small dish of butter packets. No bread, but I have butter. Go figure. For my dinner I ordered the Lasagna with meat sauce (half-order) and a meatball. The bread wound up coming out with the meal. The lasagna and meatball were good sized portions, but nothing came out properly hot. Not even the serving dishes. Everything was just varying degrees of lukewarm to warm. This is a problem that plagues most Filippi's in my experience. Poway is probably the worst. Aside from the food temps, everything was tasty and flavorful. While there are other Italian establishments in the area, this one continues to offer fairly reasonable prices and expanded operating hours which I appreciate.

Before lunch, the owner, Frank, welcomed our group into the wine cellar for an impromptu tasting and shared the story of how the winery came to be. It added such a personal touch and made the experience feel far more memorable than a typical restaurant visit. The setting is absolutely stunning. Perched high above the valley, the property offers sweeping views of rolling hills, vineyards, and distant mountains that seem to stretch on forever. The vine-covered terrace provides just enough shade to linger over a glass of wine while taking in the scenery. On a clear day, it feels like you've stumbled onto a little slice of Tuscany hidden in San Diego County. The food was equally enjoyable. We shared a variety of thin-crust pizzas, burrata salad, and charcuterie boards, all of which disappeared quickly. And then came the cannoli, the perfect sweet ending to an already wonderful meal. Between the breathtaking views, warm hospitality, excellent service, delicious food, and outstanding wine, this was an experience rather than just a lunch. I left already looking forward to coming back for wine and dinner.
