Service was amazing, both people working were very friendly, and efficient. She quoted me 20 minutes and both pizzas were finished in exactly 20 minutes. This is a pick up only location but I personally prefer that over dine-in, pizza is more so a lay back and relax at my house kind of food for me. Pizza was delicious! The garlic and ricotta on the margarita was exactly what I was hoping for in a pizza tonight and it checked every box for me. I'll definitely be back. read more

The pizza is so good .The cheese the sauce and the crust is equally balanced. The toppings are fairly distributed its not alot of sauce and crust you can taste the toppings. I have never had a bad pizza. The owner is friendly and appreciates his customers. read more

I've tried several pizza places and I keep coming back here over and over; it is always fresh, with a good amount of ingredients, crispy and delicious. When I reheat the leftovers, the cheese melts fine and the bread is never soggy. The service is great and always ready on time. read more

It's been a min since we've ordered a huge pizza from here but I remember it was good. I was craving a slice so I stopped in and ask if they do slices. Owner said yes, any kind! I got excited and asked for black olives- and he said give me 5 mins. It was quick and yummy! The size is big and the price is very right! There's combos too that I failed to see until after I ordered. Take a moment and look at the menu on the wall closely- choices are always good. read more

Pizza Amore - Pizza by the slice- paper bag on the side for size reference - Pizza Near Me - Escondido, California

I called in an order for a couple of pizzas here on a weekend. When we arrived within the given time frame, the pizzas were just ready so did not have to wait long. We ordered two: one pepperoni and another with pepperoni, mushrooms, and olives. I found the pizzas could have used more sauce, and the crust lacked flavor. They charge extra for additions, which feels a bit pricey--$2 for extra toppings and $1 for sauces like red pizza sauce or ranch. The restaurant is in a shopping plaza, so parking is plentiful. However, there's no seating available as it's more of a pickup-only spot. With several other pizza options in the area, this place didn't leave a lasting impression, and I'm not eager to return. read more

This is always my go to place for a good New York style pizza, they never miss on how good their pizza comes out tasting and they sell by the slice ! The owner is really sweet and great customer service! Also can't beat their prices and deals; a small pizza for $8.99, large for 15.99! and they always have coupons when you walk in for different meal deals. this is a MUST TRY read more

Food: I got the cheese pizza in the giant size. It barely fit through the door frame! If you need to host a party, you will be set with this size pizza. Pizza was pretty decent. Nice crispy bottom crust with each bite. I think if I try it again, I will try the margarita. Service: Service was so friendly and nice. Even though I was just picking up the pizza, I felt welcomed pretty instantly. read more

New York style pizza! Delicious!!! Thin, crunchy, perfect amount of cheese and sauce, everything you'd expect a New York pizza should be. Huge win for my kids and they are picky with their New York pizzas. read more

Best pizza in Escondido that I have tried. Good ingredients. Highly recommend! Great NY style pizza.

Just tried Pizza Amore for the first time. Pizza just the right amount of toppings exactly as requested, the crust just right crisp, just the right amount of cheese. I have to say my favorite is the spaghetti with meatballs. The best I've had. The meatballs are very authentic, not American. Highly recommended by my Sicilian family. Pasto delizioso, dovresti provare! read more

FINALLY FOUND IT!!! I grew up in the Hudson Valley area of NY and moved to Southern California 15 years ago. I have been endlessly searching for pizza that's anywhere close to what we can get back home and finally FINALLY found it here. I'm not talking anything fancy. I'm talking about a pizza that's a good, solid slice without breaking the bank from the kind of place you call on Friday nights before you watch movies on the couch. And Pizza Amore is it. The cheese is perfect, just like NY. Toppings too. But what really makes it is the crust. Perfectly crunchy underneath but chewy with a good flop. Literally perfect. And the giant pie?! Such a NY thing. Thanks guys for making me miss home a little less with pizza made the RIGHT way!!! read more

Called in a day ahead with a big order for the wedding rehearsal and the wonderful owner took the order without even asking for my name let alone payment. Next day at pickup every item was fresh out of the oven! Pizzas were as ordered, HUGE and delicious! Wish we were closer as this is a great place! read more

Our favorite pizza place in town. The owner and I think his wife had been cooking pizzas for so many years to have it down to a perfect perfection. They're all good but we particularly like the Zorba. They also offer individually cooked individual slices. read more

My only pizza spot. Amazing people and great food. Kick it up a notch here and order every pizza well done. You'll thank me later.

I came here because of a pregnancy craving and it paid off. Such good pizza and the staff were so friendly when I came in late in the evening. The Zorba pizza was delicious! Will definitely be coming back and trying more! read more

Worse customer service ever! Would give them a zero if I could. I wanted to order pizza from another pizza place in Escondido that is still listed online as open and it kept forwarding the calls to pizza amore. The owner was so rude and mocked me. Not only that but I have actually been to pizza amore and their pizza is extremely greasy and honestly flavorless. read more

Best pizza in Escondido. Get the giant pepperoni pizza. Family run seems to care about customers.

Giant pizza was huge as heck! Almost didn't fit in my car (sedan). Pizza looked a little bland and not too appetizing buuut it was pretty good. My gf is on ozempic and she went in for a 2nd slice. Wish I was hungry for more but after 4 slices, I was done. read more

This long time Escondido pizza place whose local history is well documented in other great reviews, has been on my radar for just, um, what, a few years now?! On a very busy Halloween night I ordered a 3-Topping 16" with extra cheese. I say busy because the estimated time for pick up from my call was 40 minutes and when i got there at that time, my order was still behind a couple of others. Being that i was there, they expedited my ticket up the chain and got me a hot pie in 15 minutes. Super stoked to see them so busy. And I completely forgot that it was Halloween.... The main event is of course the pizza. I thought the pizza was okay, good and all, but nothing i can really boast about. Now, there was nothing wrong with anything, and it is obviously way better than "fast pizza" but i felt like it lacked a little zest. The crust was not quite NY thin crust but was cooked very well. Definitely not enough cheese for this pizza lover! i would like to give them another try with a couple of modifications. Prices are very very fair. read more

The oldest pizza shop I've been going that used to be on 9th, S Escondido Blvd. Just moved down the street from my house and believe it or not Yes they have parmesean cheese available to enjoy your pizza with. Pizza has distinct texture and flavor profile separating it from the experience, one receives win eating the big company pizzas. It's budget friendly too as well read more

This place offers the best New York Style pizza piza I have found in all of San Diego area. They did move the location to Felicia and Escondido Blvd which I believe has help this business grow. The prices are right and the the sizes are better than pizza hut and Domino's. Show all the small and locally owned businesses love. read more

I am torn about Pizza Amore. The folks behind the counter (the owners, I think) were very nice and grateful for my business. There is ample parking. I loved the tomato sauce. And the 28-inch ("Giant") pizza of the customer in front of me looked good. BUT, the entree called "Chicken Parmesan Plate with Garlic Bread" was laughably small, though it met expectations in terms of taste. It was a decent-sized piece of garlic bread and three medium-size-at-most pieces of chicken covered in cheese and tomato sauce. In my experience, the entree "plates" at other establishments always have some combination of pasta, salad, and/or a decent amount of chicken. This -- the most expensive entree on the menu -- instead should be called "Chicken Parmesan Hors d'Oeuvre" or "Three Lil' Chickie Nugs." To make sure there wasn't a mistake or that I wasn't being Punk'd -- shout-out to millennials -- I called the restaurant to investigate. The person who picked up told me that the portion size was not a mistake and that next time I could additionally order a spaghetti entree. The home of the "Giant" pizza should not require you to get two "entrees" to be sated. Stick with the pizza! read more

Our favorite local, family owned pizza place. We typically get a certain type of pizza, that's not on the menu. We've become regulars and they now know us. Met them at the new storefront and they are so welcoming. Best pizza in Escondido! read more

$10 and change for 2 slices of the worst cheese pizza ive ever had? This place was good when I was a kid and it was down the street. I should have said hell no to the price, but really wanted a piece of pizza. These slices should have been 1.99 each, at most. Not worth it at all. read more

Food was perfect price is amazing service is amazing. Family friendly spot to pick up pizza and go back to hotel.

I was happy to choose my toppings without spending a fortune. Pizza was great but not New York. Or even pizza in San Francisco. But not dried out like most other pizza joints. The customer service is great. Friendly. read more
