Tasty pizza is ... not great, but still ... kinda good. Came here for the Family Special, 8 slice pizza, breadsticks, and a 2-liter of soda for somewhat cheap. It fed all four of us, with a few slices leftover and while no one had any glowing praise for the food, no one threw anything against the wall, either. We opted for half cheese/half pepperoni. The crust was okay, an alright caramelization on the breading. I would have liked a nicer char on the meat, but it wasn't terrible. And the cheese itself was chewy and plentiful. The breadsticks, while a bit thin, still have a couple of nice and thicker ones so everyone had something warm and chewy to enjoy. And their dipping marinara was adequate. All in all, a good price, close to home, you could do worse than Tasty Pizza. I still think you're better served spending a few bucks more over at Two Brothers or Union, but this spot can easily do in a pinch. read more

Tasty pizza and great service. We do pizza every Friday and this is one of the top ones. The sauce isn't too acidic like some pizza places and the prices are good. read more

Great pizza I always get the meat lovers and the barbecue chicken. I've been going here for years and the owner is a good guy.

What a great pizza they make, ordered one while i was waiting in the area for work and ill definitely be going back.

Pizza is on point! It's not New York style but the ingredients are. Owners are awesome and so are the others. Zero complaints about this joint. That plus great prices! read more

I've been going to Tasty Pizza for years. Everything is made to order. The crust and sauce is made fresh, from scratch,100% real. Tastes great! Owner works the register and makes everything. Take out only, no dining in. Order, relax and in 10 minutes you'll have a delicious, freshly made pizza at a great price. Beats the big guy pizzas hands down. read more

I had a pizza for the first time at tasty pizza in Dan Marcos. I can honestly say it was the best pizza I've ever had. I recommend them highly. Mark read more

Great Bread sticks but portions were entirely out of proportion, The Skinniest bread sticks I've ever seen, and the pizza is alright, The guy behind the counter was also decent however he didn't explain any of the deals, or elaborate further on my order, he didn't even ask me what topping I wanted on the pizza, which is partly my fault but still. And he didn't tell me that the Deal I ordered, Block Buster Deal. Came with a 2 lt Soda so I was about to leave without getting my moneys worth. Overall Decent Place, Portions could be better. And Service was a little was than alright. read more

terrible pizza, was a jerk when I called when to ask about the wrong pizza delivered to me. pizza is garbage. don't bother with this place. read more

I come here on the regular. My pizza is always done correctly, as I order on the phone. The staff always greets me and smiles. The pizza is delicious made in a timely manner and very affordable which is great for Friday's like tonight, with Halloween around the corner and rent due. Boom $5.99 pizza to the rescue! Thank you Tasty Pizza in San Marcos. Some people complain about the owner. I don't. He's never done my order wrong, pizza is always good. Just keep in mind, some cultures come off differently than what we are used to. Just brush that off and go on in your life. read more

Salty man behind the counter, I assume is the owner, begrudgingly took our order. Got glared at most of the time just for sitting to wait for our order. We ordered a special of a large pizza, a drink, and 8 wings that supposedly came with ranch. Our food came out and when we dug in, the ranch was actually mayonnaise?? The pizza itself had too little cheese and it'd probably be more worth it to order from Little Cesar's. The beverage selection was decent in variety though.... Unfortunately won't be back- it's already a pretty basic spot. read more

First time going there and my last worts customer service and prices were not what they advertised. Asked for our receipt and was told he couldn't provide it. Nor did they have or provide napkins or paper plates. I will stick to Little Cesars!! read more

Positives: Its closer in location and the same price as Lil Ceasers but you get to choose from a lot more toppings. Quality tastes better, and they also have delivery. Negatives: You can see the kitchen from the front, so when there is only one guy running the joint it IS necessary to wash your hands between handling my money and then the food. read more

Told them I don't eat pork. Still put pepperoni on my veggie pizza. Went back to return it. But he wouldn't return it. He said that's what I ordered. I was going to throw it in his face n demand my money back, instead did a good deed n went across the street and gave it to the hard workers at the gas station.. that's what you call turning a bad situation into a good one. But still fucked up nasty pizza read more

meh.... it was alright. basic pizza which is all i craved after work. but the owner or cashier, whoever served me was very he was having a lovely conversation with a regular, which gave me warm hopes for the service bit the cashier was dull. very ungrateful for my patronage, when i specifically came to that cramped parking lot for that resturante in short. if u like warm and inviting service, run elsewhere bc u wont find it at tasty pizza. but if ur ok with basic pizza no service, go for it. they dont sell slices by the way read more

Picked up a cheese pizza on a whim and was pleasantly surprised by this small pizza shop, the pizza really hit the spot. Nice cheese to sauce to crust ratio to bite into. The crust was the perfect crunch chewy texture. Really enjoyable and for the price you can't beat it. read more

Super bummed on this place and Grubhub . We paid and ordered a pizza last night. Just minutes before the expected delivery - they cancelled! read more

Pizza is so good reminds me of my time living in New York City. The owners are from Portland, OR, and brought their yummy pizza with them to Sunny California. Cheesy, hot, perfectly sliced, fresh and great prices! Mrs. Sue is so sweet and friendly, I love businesses that are personable and welcoming. Definitely recommend coming here. 14" cheese or pepperoni for $5! Such a great deal. read more

We come here on a regular for our Friday pizza night. We absolutely love it. Good price right around the corner perfect

Heard the man that works there talk s*** about me under his breath as I was leaving... Apparently for some minor inconvenience to him. I guess he doesn't understand that part of working in the restaurant business is providing service to customers who are spending money in your establishment. That means having patience for them even if they irritate you for no apparent reason. Best of luck to you. read more

Pizza is too oily and chicken wings taste weird.expensive prize. No bueno. I usually give out good reviews.

Good taste on the bread and also not a lot of tomato sauce which is a plus! The ingredients are really flavorful

never dissatisfied. Pizza worth the price. recommend eat same day. customer service never fails. love this place think i might get married here read more

Rudest owner. First she overcharges me on an order. I realized until I got home and saw my receipt so I called her and she said, well next time I will give you 2 ranches next time ("she wrote down my name"). So maybe almost 2 months after I (today) I called to order a pizza. The guy who I spoke with gave a price with what I ordered. When I asked him if the lady was there he passed the phone to her. I reminded her about the situation of the ranches that happened a while ago and she said, I only said one. I told her, you told me 2 . One for charging me over and the 2nd one for the inconvenience just as you promised so she said, yes, now I remember. When I arrive the guy greeted me and I gave him my name The lady stepped out very aggressive and lookedt at how much I had in my hands without even mentiong the total. She said, it's gonna be more than $6. I said ok whats the total because he already gave me one. She said garlic is going to be way more ($3). I let her know before ordering I had confirmed the amount with the guy. She said well if you dont wang the pizza dont take it. I said its not that i dont want the pizza, its about you guys giving me a wrong price for the second time. First you overcharge me and then you want to overcharge me. So the guy comes to the front and admits his honest mistake and she tries to correct him and tell me the correct price. I said im sorry, you have to charge me what was promised. And she didnt want to. Later she honored the price and said next time you do t have to use us again. I said, dont worry, im not planning to. I only came to get what i had paid previously. Its not much, but why is it ok for them to take extra money for stuff I paid. I dont make much b/c I'm a student. read more

Usually I really like this place. In fact, the pizza is cheap, good and quick. You can even add stuffed crust, flavored crust, etc. nice touch. In other words, normally, solid 4. Tonight however, one star. I ordered an XL 1 topping deal at 12.95. I only took half a topping in fact, but they charged me $19 for the pizza. $4 delivery charge - still need to tip, by the way. Yes, the driver told me the charge isn't a tip. Well the pizza was completely smashed into the corner. Obviously someone dropped it. I felt the box off balance and showed the driver, who proceeds to start pulling on the pizza to reshape it. With his hands. Bare. Hands. He gets it spread out and declares "there I saved it". Dude. No, you murdered it even further. It was dead, now it's more dead. Well of course I politely declare my malcontent. (Honest. I was nice.) He says he'll give me a discount. He doesn't. Very unfortunate. I realize this was just the drivers screw up, but I'll never order delivery again. read more

I am pleasantly surprised at this new find, the only reason why this does not get a 5 star rating is because the pizza was not hot; we are just around the corner. The food is FRESH, light and absolutely delicious, not too heavy and tastes homemade....we are hard core Sorrentos fans, so this was a very nice find! read more

If there was 0, or half star I would have put that. WORST pizza, it is dry, no sauce, little cheese, and disgusting. We told people more than one to put MORE SAUCE. I wouldn't even take the pizza if it was free. And to make matters worse everybody in my family got stomach pains and bloating from this stuff. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, GROSS!!! read more

This pizza was boolin like I was " god damn this shit is good " but then again they look sketchy af so idk man

This guy is so rude and cheap. He said it was too much work to put half ham and half pepperoni on a medium pizza. I usually support small businesses, but c'mon!! Really?!?! Stop being lazy and run your business. Chef Ramsay would be pissed read more

The 5 star review is only 5 stars because of one of the employees who is dedicated and always offers the best service and really cares about creating quality pizza. Pedro always has a smile on his face and knows how to handle any situation and still care for the customers needs. When I was waiting for a pizza he was getting orders left and right and was also attending a woman who seemed to have issues with the total of her order. It ended up being a mistake on the woman's behalf, but the whole time of him being pressured with all the work he still managed to keep his cool when she was speaking to him with an aggressive and blaming manner. Pedro is absolutely amazing, I love ordering when he's around. The owners have not been the kindest though when they've been around. But Pedro is great and we all know it :) read more

Good pizza at a cheap price! If I'm craving some pie I just head down the street to pick one up at Tasty Pizza. Every time I have gone there was only one person working though, so if there is a few people ordering it can slow you down. But you could always call in your orders and have it ready when you get there... I'm just too lazy and would rather sit around and wait once I get there. read more

This place is horrible, ordered a pizza and 30 mins later I got a pizza frozen. Cheese was rock hard just gross, I called back and the stores didn't know what was going on, last time I eat at this place, rude owners!!! read more

Love this place. Spoke with the owner. Very cool guy and best sauce in the area. He trumps the high dollar Itlian restaurants

I love this Pizza Shop! hands down the BEST pizza in North county! I have 2 very picky kids and they absolutely love this pizza. They always ask for more slices! The best part about this place is that its very affordable! can't beat 5 dollars for a large 1 topping pizza! and its really YUMMY!!!! We order all the times for our block parties, birthdays, etc... and its always a hit! read more

Pretty generic but solid pizza. However I have noticed that for every batch of wings there is always one that appears more grotesque and mutated than the others. read more

Everyone on here that are giving positive reviews either are related to the owner, don't know what good pizza is, or simply got paid to write a review. But, If I could I wouldn't give this place any stars. We came here one time. The wings were so dry that the meat looked like dried up chicken skins, and before I could give my opinion about it my kids took one bite and threw their slices back in the box. The pizza was cold, dry, overcook, and way to much of the wrong seasoning in the sauce. Although I sometimes do make my dough and sauce from scratch, I know that I can put this place out of business real quick with some Chef Boyardee pizza sauce, and Pillsbury pizza dough. I agree this is the worst pizza we've ever had. Big waste of money!!! Yes I'll take little ceasars any day. read more
