When we first walked in I was getting disappointed. The hostess up front was on the phone so I don't need her to drop everything, but she didn't even acknowledge us walking in. The Rudest manager I have ever met! First off, I would like to say that this place is not cheap. $60 for two pizzas and sodas is a bit of a splurge. She left the boxed pizza on the table and proceeded to charge me for two pizzas. She left our table with a look of victory in her eyes. She might have won " that battle, " but lost a regular customer. If I were the owner of that restaurant, I would wonder how many other regular customers she lost who are not taking the time to write a review. Daughter loved her Salmon Crostini. Lobster Bisque was $12.50 and not on happy hour, but had nice lobster chunks and great flavor, not gratuitously heavy. I'm picky about wings, and these are good...they ran out at 6:15! I'm even more picky about pizza, but my BBQ Chicken Pizza was really good! Food is standard corporate Americanized Italian fare. Pasta is plated overdone to the point of sticky mushiness. Even if you request "al dente". I ordered their Chicken Piccata with angel hair in a White Wine Lemon and Caper sauce. The sticky lukewarm warm glob that eventually made its way to my table was bland, tasted watery, was mushy and lacking in any appreciable amount of any sauce. I pointed this out to "Naomi", my server. She brought out some extra sauce eventually. It wasn't until the check arrived that so noticed this flavor lacking sauce raised the bill an extra $2. Naomi disappeared for long stretches. I had to ask her for the bread that should accompany the meal. She left my table cluttered with garbage and debris. the "Nova" Pizza, their beer, & Salads are great. Also the garlic appetizer is a good pick. Service is good and management appear to be active & engaged in operations. There is also convenient parking adjacent the library's street. Also good for kids, and they have Happy-Hour pricing. I guess if there's anything I'd add, it would probably be a tad larger TVs, and music & plants on the patio, like Sammy's in San Marcoa has. But id recommend Pizza Nova easily ! read more

I don't usually leave reviews, but my experience at Pizza Nova was awful enough to warn others. I ordered a Greek Salad and what I got was unacceptable-rotten tomatoes and the feta cheese looking like it has been sitting on the counter for months. This food was far from fresh, disgusting. To make matters worse, the service was just bad. The staff were upright ignoring me and the border line rude. I told them about the salad but they quickly dismissed it and said we will compensate it. However, when I got the check and were about to pay I had to wait a long time for them to collect it and I had to explain the situation again. Also, the ambiance wasn't very welcoming and had an unusual smell that wasn't very pleasant. Pizza Nova might be known for its pizza, but if this is how they treat customers and quality, I won't be returning-and I suggest others think twice before going. read more
