It was OK, not bad for a tourist town. The salad was adequate but came in a plate so small the food was escaping over the edges. The mushroom burger was good but not the best I have had. It is the end of the season, see you next year.

Shout out to the Pickle Barrel in Silverton. Group of six of us were in town to ski and stumbled in to the Pickle Barrel for dinner on night one. It was awesome. Went back again on night two because the food and the service was great. Much appreciated. Special note: If you need a great real before or after dinner, check out the Shagri La soaking pools next door. Same owners and a great way to end the day after tough skiing.

This is an excellent restaurant in a beautiful town! The staff are so friendly. Surrounded by mountains.

Happy to go to the Pickle Barrel!!

This place Is It!! No average tourist trap, but very conscientious offerings, food prepared with understanding, awareness and heart: aka; Deeelicious! Owned and run by Paul and wife for 25 years. Amazing considering how young they are. Super mindful & caring and their meals prove it! Forget stereotypical and Go for the Food. Healthy, tasty and well-thought-out! Can't wait to go back!! Best buffalo wings I have ever had. I drove s long way from Arizona just for them. I love Silverton.

Stopped in here for dinner while staying in Silverton. It was a great choice! I don't think I've ever seen anyone move as fast as our waiter did. Everyone in the restaurant was super friendly and really wanted the patrons to have a good time. We enjoyed the food, which was all home made. Everything, from the soup and salad to the entrees was amazing. There was a huge case full of deserts that looked delicious (they tasted that way too). If you happen to find yourself in Silverton, make sure to try the Pickle Barrel. You won't be disappointed!

The flies love this place. Had the Reuben sandwich, bread was burnt and no flavor. Arby's makes a better Reuben.

Who doesn't enjoy a good greasy burger? Or onion rings? THIS is the place to make it happen…read more A group of 12 of us graced Ouray with our presence for a friend-cation. Food is challenging in a smaller town but Maggie's made it happen. This was a fun spot to run upon. The signatured walls + great menu offered great options for everyone. The tables ranged from large to small so we were all able to hang and eat. The location is central Ouray and plenty of street parking nearby. Touristy vibe but that isn't a bad thing. Food was solid. You get exactly what you expect. The prices were fair. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We had a grea time. If you are in Ouray, make it a point to stop-by - this is obviously a staple of their lovely little town and deserves to be supported!

One small secret: When they have donuts available grab one or a dozen! You wouldn't generally think of a burger place as having good donuts but this is that place. So good!

I ordered the vegan French toast and a side of bacon. Having a severe egg allergy makes breakfast choices out limited. The cinnamon on the French toast gave it the right crisp plus the maple syrup was spot on for my taste buds. The bacon is thin strips which aren't my thing I prefer thick cut bacon. It has a few counter seats and then as many tables as can be put inside for seating. Turnover of tables was quick. Many people came and went. I enjoyed my hot tea and read while I ate.

So cool inside with crazy toasters on the walls. Also seating outside. Service was great and with a smile. I had the Animas breakfast which was bacon and eggs with 2 delicious potato cakes and wheat toast. Very good. Coffee good. The wife had corn beef hash with 2 over easy eggs on top. She loved. I knew it as soon as I read their menu. She likes different stuff. They also make breakfast drinks but alas, we had to drive 3 hours back to Creede so had to pass. Someone got a burger for lunch that looked good but was huge.

If you're going to operate in a town where you know a lot of your clientele has a two-hour ticking clock before their train leaves, you've got to be on the ball. Seeing how good the cheese board looked, we started with that as an appetizer. We figured it would give us something to munch on while we were waiting for the rest of our food. Not so much. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, and my wife ordered the turkey avocado sandwich. After ordering all our food and waiting a long time, I saw another table get their cheese board at the same time as their entrees. I flagged down our waiter to see if we'd get our appetizer before our entrees. He went to check, and the cheese board came out...at the same time as our sandwiches. What's the deal here? Nobody wants their appetizer as part of their meal. For the record, the cheese board was big, good, and filling. My chicken sandwich was great, and my wife liked her turkey avocado sandwich as well. Fries were better than chips. We just needed things spaced out a bit. Our waiter came back by and said, "Wow! You two must've been hungry, as you ate that really fast." Well buddy, we've got a train to catch!
