The food is very good. Even better considering it is served at a 12,000 foot altitude. The people are amazing, both servers and patrons because everyone is happy to be here. I have been skiing at Telluride for many years. Some time ago a friend said his trip isn't complete until he eats at Giuseppe's. So of course I had to try the place. My favorite restaurant on the mountain!! That small kitchen whips out consistently the best food! The prices are fair and the views are amazing! Ate at Giuseppe's on a snowy day in March around 1pm. It was absolutely packed inside so we decided to get two bowls of chili and bring them outside. There's a whole condiment bar area (cheese, sour cream, jalapeños) to adorn the chili with which I loved! Thankfully there was also complimentary water :) chili was delicious!!! Pretty amazing gumbo for a cabin on top of a mountain

Giuseppe's is my favorite place to eat lunch on the mountain. The food is incredible, especially the black bean sauté (with added gaucamole) and the chicken pasta. I've also heard that the Muffuletta is tasty. The only downside is that the indoor seating area is small, with a total of about 5 tables. As a result, in cold weather, you may have to wait for a table unless you're willing to share. In warm weather, there's plenty of seating outside. read more

Some of the best gumbo I've ever had and it was in Colorado on a mountain. Chicken, sausage, and crawfish with the perfect blend of spices. The fork and knife chili dog smothered with Chucks famous chili was equally as tasty. Had lunch for the first time, the food was fantastic. I had the sausage po boy. My daughter had the pulled pork. Both were excellent. I hear their signature dish is the black bean saute. Telluride Ski Resort knows how to dine. I mean, these restaurants couldn't get better. Just imagine, you are at the summit of mountain, with 360 degree breathtaking views, drinking a beer, having a bowl of much better than expected chili- you are at Giuseppe's. Great place for lunch on the mountain! I had the black bean sauté from others' reviews and it was delicious and very filling before heading back down the mountain. My boyfriend had the beef po boy and the flavor was great. I ordered hot cider and it was a powder added to water (same for chai tea). My only complaint is I wish they had better drinks. I love it here. Good quality food that isn't arm and leg expensive!! Seven tables inside and picnic benches outside to eat on. This shack was formerly the ski ticket office for TellSki long ago before it was hauled up here and became a restraunt. I highly recommend the black bean sauté. This is one of the best mountain restaurants in the U.S. ski resorts. We have skied all of Colorado's mountains, a hand-full of east coast and Utah resorts, and all over Europe. American ski resorts and restaurants surrounding the resorts are fancy, but these establishments are way overpriced and dishes are mediocre at best, which is opposite of European ski lodges that offer delicious food at everyday prices. There is an European flare to Giuseppe's. Quaint, rustic, friendly staff, energetic music, fairly priced, and most importantly, mouthwatering dishes...with fast delivery as well. Chicken and Crawfish Gumbo was perfectly seasoned, the meatball pasta was basic but good, blackened chicken pasta was simply yummy, and the cheese baguette slices were very good. Giuseppe's is a solid ski lunch with tasty food and breathtaking views. It can get crowded during lunch hours but the staff works pretty quickly. I shared a hot beef sandwich and the muffuletta, both yummy! I'd definitely get the hot beef sandwich again. Because they offer chili there is a great condiments bar available with sour cream, cheese, cilantro, salsa, etc. if you want to dress up your food further. The seating inside is limited but there is plenty of space outside if it is a sunny day. read more

Great place for lunch slope side! Wow! Had the chicken cobb salad and 19 year son had pasta with marinara sauce. Also had a tall PBR. These guys are cooking in a small area - and they are rocking some good food at reasonable prices. The seating area is small. surrounded on all sides by windows. Be polite by standing in line and ordering your food; then then find seating. They cook food to order and give you a number to post at your table and then they bring your food to your table when it is ready. The fresh ingredients of salad were wonderful. Their chili is just do good and the pulled pork! Can get crowded and since some people just grabs tables before ordering you might end up waiting with the good in your hand which is fine if the weather is good and you can eat it outside.
