Hungry for some French toast! Spotted pictures of the french toast and I had to come here when we stopped in town. Loved the spot, the restaurant, the people, and the French toast!!! Their dirty chai latte was on point as well. We both ordered the toast, maybe a little too hungry with our eyes. 3 fat slices stuffed with ricotta for each was a bit overboard lol. We went last minute camping nearby and did not have any food to make breakfast at the campsite so we googled the nearest option and this place was one of the few that popped up. Definitely family owned and operated, there was a young kid bussing tables and literally working which was adorable! He did a great job! Everyone was super nice and we felt right at home. The food was delicious. The sandwich was delicious. It had a really delicious sauce and a fat fluffy egg. I was jealous I didn't get it! I had the breakfast plate (I forget the name on the menu but I've attached a picture). I was given the choice of grape or strawberry jelly for my toast, the potatoes were flavorful and the bacon was crispy but still juicy and thick and delicious. The coffee was also really really great and had the fluffiest froth which was so tasty. My only reason for not giving this place an absolute perfect review is because the pricing was a little high. I totally get that these guys are in a small town and they have to make a living but our breakfast was 50 bucks which is crazy! Worth it though! The sandwich was just kind of thrown together. There was nothing gourmet about it. Maybe fold the meat so there is some air between the slices. Don't give me the plastic cup of Italian dressing, put it on the sandwich. I get that your prices have to be high in a town like this, but put some effort into your food so I feel the money was worth the meal. $60 got us a burger, sandwich, and two drinks with tip. Also, maybe mix the puree into the lemonade so it doesn't just sit at the bottom of the glass. The burger was good. Under cooked, but good. Until just a few days ago we've never even heard of Ouray, here we were in this beautiful place thoroughly enjoy it's natural scenery and tranquility. Ouray has certainly earned it's reputation as the 'Little Switzerland in America'. On our way to Silverton to catch the train, we stopped for lunch. As soon as we started walking along the Main St without even a single traffic light, we felt calm and relaxed. We stumbled into Kami's, the young man at the counter was so pleasant and welcoming. We wanted a light lunch after loaded up at the breakfast buffet; sitting in front of the window we ordered a Cuban and a Quinoa salad. We were served with lemon water and given real silverware. Food came quickly, the sandwich was pretty good but the Quinoa salad really stood out. I opted to have it served warmed up, loved the mushrooms, zucchini and tomato mixed in, light and yummy. My husband and I visited for lunch. Grab a menu and order at the counter. The service was friendly, quick, and efficient. Spacious, clean, modern restaurant. He had the Reuben with street corn on the side. He said it was one of the best Reubens he's ever had! And I tried the street corn; it was delicious, flavorful, and warmed my soul. I had the Italian ciabatta, which I loved. They did not skimp on the meat. I ate half there and the other half in the car on the way home. Leftovers were just as delicious. I had the couscous on the side which was fresh, flavorful, and yummy. To drink, an iced latte; coffee was ROBUST and soooo good. Not even comparable to the crap you get at Starbucks. My husband was jealous because he did not get a coffee. I think our total for lunch was $50 something. A little pricey but totally worth it.
