We had walked from Hermanhoff winery, specifically because we have loved Ainsley's in the past. Our fifth member was joining us from our second-street rental as soon as he dropped off our purchases. We were not allowed to sit until our fifth member arrived. Fine. We stood in the entrance. But my sister is in her late '50s and was overcome by heat from the walk. She sat down briefly so she wouldn't throw up and so she could catch her breath. The young woman running the restaurant immediately ordered all of us out. We appealed to her compassion, but she kept quoting The Rules, and insisted we leave. This had been one of our favorite restaurants in Hermann until today. My sister left in tears, humiliated, and struggled to get back to our rental. She is still crying. And thankfully did not collapse on the sidewalk from heat stroke. I will never forgive the young woman or Ainsley's for treating my sister badly. Shame on you. Shame on you. Shame on you.
