Built in the 1850's and rich in history with many of the same features to admire. The wine cellar is perfect to host your next event. Several other couples who arrived around the same time were welcomed immediately, but we were left standing there without any acknowledgment. It was uncomfortable and made us feel overlooked in a way no quest should experience. I can't say why we were treated differently, but the contrast was hard to ignore. Because of the lack of attention, we ended up buying only a few bottles- even though we originally planned to purchase two full cases. We also chose not to buy anything from the stores afterward, which is unusual for us, but the experience at the beginning made it difficult to fully appreciate the visit. For a winery with such a strong reputation, I expected a much more welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. This was a one- star experience for us, and we won't be returning.

The menu is somewhat limited. They have a couple of Paninis, flatbreads and one or two choices on different sizes of pizzas. They also have some other sandwiches as well. I got the chipotle chicken Panini and she got a bacon cheddar chicken Panini. Both were good (we always share). The chipotle chicken was topped with tomatoes lettuce and onion and it was a really good sandwich. Both sandwiches only come with potato chips as a side. I wish there was a little more choice than a bag Premade chips. The sandwiches will set you back about $9 each, And the cocktail was 10 bucks. This is a fabulous addition to the downtown area and one more place to get a quick bite. Currently they're open most days of the week until 7 PM. they also have several choices for coffees in the morning.

The red muscadine is great as well, but not as great as the white. I'm usually a big blackberry sweet wine drinker, but the blackberry here wasn't too great. The view from the hill is beautiful. We sat down after and relaxed in the sun. They have tons of tables in the shade as well as under an awning. They don't do wine tastings on Saturdays, just a heads up. They also have a gift shop inside.

Those of you who typically read my reviews often times know that I give each venue the benefit of a doubt and will go eat at them a few times to ensure it wasn't just a fluke. But not this time.
