Do NOT recommend using The Perfect Light. We chose this company as they assured us we would own our lights and they would store them each year for future use. That promise was a major reason we chose them. When we moved to another part of town, I contacted them to install our lights, but it took three weeks to get a response after my initial outreach. I had to call multiple times, leave messages, and follow up repeatedly before I could get a response and quote from anyone. I was told a different area representative would handle our new location. They wanted to charge over two thousand, five hundred dollars to install the lights even though the new home is roughly 70% smaller than the previous one. On the new quote, the quantities and pricing were heavily inflated, making the credit insignificant compared to the overall charge. When I questioned the fees, I was told, "We are unable to install lights for you this year," and they offered to just drop the lights off at my home. No attempt to resolve the issue, unacceptable customer service, and no follow-through on what was originally promised. The lack of honesty and follow-through was extremely disappointing. The entire situation was handled poorly, was misleading and unprofessional. I do not recommend The Perfect Light for Christmas light installation or seasonal lighting in Houston. read more

We have used The Perfect Light for many years and the quality and service never fails. If anything needs adjusting they fix it right away. The creative design they customized for our holiday lights is a showsopper! The price is worth the time and hassle saver during a busy season. The Perfect Light, what more can I say than a perfect experience from the business. I purchased a home in 2020 with landscape lighting and it was one of the sellers for me. I've always seen lighting in super expensive home, but this was just perfect. It highlighted the trees and house at night and I would just ride by during the buying option. When I originally spoke to the previous owner, they stated it was a costly purchase and they had wanted to do the back yard but ultimately decided against it. Fast forward two years and I reach out to The Perfect Light for some maintenance on the lights. They sent out Parker and he was awesome, very laid back and understood we wanted to have the front fixed. We started discussing the back and the price was well within our budget. Sergio (team lead) lead a crew that was amazing and the installation was focused on quality and quickness. They did the initial installation, and when I had some lights I wanted to shift the were out there promptly. The repairs were also done with quality in mind. They were able to protect some of the lines that had shifted over the years All in all I would recommend The Perfect Light to anyone looking for landscape lighting. It's a great investment and will raise the value of your house, provide protection because of well lighting, and give you a piece of mind that it will just work unlike solar landscape lights. read more

I have been a customer of Perfect Light for about 30 years, The light fixtures have been very reliable and delightful. They brighten up my landscape and protect my home. I recently had upgraded my sprinkler system and had broken some wirings from diggings. The Prefect Light was able to come to give us an evaluation / quick estimate and returned a week later to fix the problems. The service members were very courteous and efficient. They had the equipment to diagnose locations of the broken wirings efficiently and replaced the worn out parts. BUT none of the light fixtures need replacement. Roman and his son Sergio had also installed photosensitive timer and had replaced old light bulbs with LEDs. Good Job. I highly recommend The Perfect Light for all landscaping needs. read more

Not goofing to go well if things don't go exact as they like! Very poor communication, Unwilling to provide a firm installation date. Become defensive and rude if you ask any questions once you sign their quote I don't normally post anything negative about a business. So this is for those of you like me. I recently moved into a new area and wanted to add landscape lights to my home. So I researched local businesses on the typical social media sights to see what others were saying. I found The Perfect Light, they appeared to have high review scores. I called to set up a quote. Nick came out very pleasant said all the right things. He said he'll send a quote which he did. The quote didn't include anything about the fixtures, which I wanted to see before the were installed. I called the company to see if they could provide and information on the light fixtures they said they have to reach out to Nick. Well somehow Nick took offense. Here's some of the email he sent me. Hello I understand you would like some more information regarding the fixtures/bulbs. I would suggest doing some of your own research to find the exact fixtures and options you are looking for. You might even be able to install them yourself. The options are limitless but if you would like to use quality materials, excellent labor and have a company that will stand by you then I would recommend letting us do the work After I settle Nick down to say I just wanted to know what quality fixture he was using. He provide what I needed. Next step I sign the quote. After a couple of days asked when to expect installation. He said they are two weeks out. Ok, it is what it is. Well today I get a random Text. Your install has been delayed. So I email when should I expect install. They couldn't give me an answer. (I get the whole supply chain thing). So I pressed a little, a couple of weeks? a month, more than a month? No response at all. Just another defensive email from their region managerShane. Well the moral of the story their 4.8 stars are when things go according to plan. As soon as you question this or press them for anything things aren't what you want. If you look at their reviews all the low ratings are due to situations like mine. I can only imagine how difficult it would be dealing with this business if there were service issues. I would give zero stars but apparently that is not an option. Horrible customer service. They left their customer waiting all day then promised an after hours appointment and still didnt show up.. I have worked with this company on and off for years, but never again. They sneak charges onto your bill, yet maintain a 'superior' attitude about themselves whenever you talk to them. I find them to be unethical at best, but probably must worse then that. Be careful if you work with them. We have had our Christmas lighting done by The Perfect Light for many years. They are efficient, and punctual. If lights burn out, they replace them quickly. If we have wind that knocks the lighting down, they repair them quickly. Are there less expensive companies? Probably. But their service and responsiveness can't be beat. Because they store the lights and other equipment from year to year, it saves us having to find a place for it. They definitely have their system down and from what I can tell, they treat their employees well. That's important to me in the present economic climate. read more

I can't say more about this team of people; from the office staff (Tori) the young men that come and layout the lights for you and come back after dark to show you how it will look before full installation; walking you through what is best type of lighting and lights for our home and area; Cody and Mike and then the two young men, Juan and His partner (sorry forgot name) polite, clean, took good care of my newly planted flowers and trees and they worked until 10:00pm to finish the job and make sure all worked well! First of all, it's hard to find a landscape lighting company that is trustworthy. They are great for the service they offer and the maintenance plans that covers almost all problems as to why the lights would stop working. And as far as Christmas lights go, it's easy to find someone to put up the lights but the difference between those people and this company is that they will service the lights during the time the lights are up and store them when Christmas is done. Don't you just hate it when you are trying to give someone your business and they tell you that in order to have the privilege of giving them your money, you will have to wait at home ALL DAY, and someone will be there between 8-5. Even doctors make you wait less. The Perfect Light (a home outdoor and Christmas light company) actually found a new way to screw over their customer. I wait all day at home, then I call about status, they tell me a technician will be there AFTER 5:00. And I stupidly wait on them all night as well. When I ask them when I can waste another day waiting on them this is the response I get Joe,  We won't be able to service your lights anymore bud. Please don't contact us anymore. Was told that the price would get cheaper every year when we signed on. Every year we got fewer lights and the price went up. I would ask about something from the previous year-greenery, spotlights, path outline. They would argue that I didn't have that feature the previous year and if I showed them pictures, they would say that I must have gotten it for free. We put up with the bs because it's such a hassle to change companies and you have to pay for new lights. Last year when they came (after dark) to take down there were no cars here so they thought that no one was home. Perfect Light never calls first so we weren't expecting them. Our quiet evening was interrupted when we heard two men talking on our front porch. Then they tried the door handle and throwing their weight against the door. They kept doing that until the constable arrived. They said that they were just taking down the lights and did have a ladder in the yard. My husband watched them while they took down the lights and the constable drove past a few times. The next day our gardeners spent over an hour cleaning up glass and assorted trash. Also parts of the flower beds were trampled. Needless to say, we will never have them on our property again. read more

We have in years past put up our own holiday lights. This year we really wanted to take advantage of the two large live oak trees we have in our yard and therefore called The Perfect Light. We called and scheduled an appointment and the technician performing the consultation was on time and prepared. We decided to go with hanging strings of lights from the branches and once it was done it completely wowed us. They were beautifully installed, with no visible trace or wiring anywhere. They also stood up to the wind and rain Houston experienced this past December. We hated to see the holiday season end as we enjoyed seeing how beautiful the lights were dangling from our trees. We will absolutely use Prefect Light once again and already look forward to the 2019 holidays. read more

The men that came to instal where very nice and cleaned up the job site as they worked. We were not completely satisfied with the final result and they came back very quickly and completely changed everything to meet our needs and even offered to come back until we were satisfied. I have used TPL for landscape lighting installation and recently posted a pretty scathing review. However, they just called me and adjusted their pricing by not charging for the bulb, and only charging for the service call, which, by the way, was extremely reasonable. So, I have retracted my earlier review and must now state that any company who cares enough about their reputation to reach out to a customer to resolve issues like this, deserves a second chance. Regarding the review about the neighbor's light, they admitted that their bid was incorrectly priced too high and have adjusted it as well. read more

We asked for the return of our lights after we decided the price increase for the next year was unacceptable. It took several weeks of runaround (including our spending a Saturday morning driving to and from their Spring warehouse only to be told the lights weren't there) for them to finally release our lights.
