    Smoked Beef Brisket

This place was recommended to us! Delicious BBQ. I had baby back ribs and hubby had brisket platter. Portions are LARGE and everything is tops. We started with glazed pork belly appetizer that you must try too. We arrived at lunch on Tuesday. I was the only woman most of the time. Mostly working guys coming in on lunch break in groups. Energy is all good and a big selection of beer on tap. Even though we walked in behind several big groups, we had great service and food came fast. Highly recommend. It's in an old barn with fun decor. Very country/small town local feel. This is a WIN for us.

Wow! Excellent BBQ with massive servings! Standard college kid working her way through college was pretty awesome and very friendly. The Chicharrones/ Pork rinds with smokehouse rub with cheddar queso for dippin' was FANtastic! The Brisket was wet (fatty) and perfectly smoked. I will DEFINITELY go back when I head back to Western Carolina.

I wanted to try some bbq and saw this place as an option. It had been rainy all day but it was finally clearing out. I have my dog with me so I hoped to sit outside but it is not covered. Instead I ordered it to go and it was ready in the 20 minutes I was quoted. I got the pulled pork plate with a side of Mac and cheese and collared greens, and then the add on brisket. The sides were okay, kinda salty. The meat was pretty good. I had enough food to save for a second meal too.

Stopped here for dinner last night and was really impressed! Very busy place so expect a wait, but the food was well worth it in my opinion. Flavorful and lots of sauce options. We got The Pit-Master tray for four people and we still had some left over so the portions were great as well. Definitely recommend if you're in the area and want some good barbecue!

Brisket was as good as some of the best we've had (Franklin's in TX). Sides were also great and the atmosphere was very chill. Definitely a place to check out if you're in this area!

I really wanted to give them a higher score, but when I received my food, I was very disappointed. I got turkey on a salad, and it wasn't a cheap salad, so when I saw the amount of turkey that I had on my salad, that was minuscule, I was very disappointed. When I asked the waitress if that was the right amount of turkey on there, she said yes, but that she could get me some more for an extra charge. Now keep in mind the rest of my party all received heaping portions of meat on their trays or sandwiches, so it wasn't like I was asking for something out of the ordinary. There was plenty of lettuce, but that wasn't what I really wanted more of. Just more than an ounce of turkey. Everyone else enjoyed their meals, but I would not recommend getting the turkey salad ever. The inside of the restaurant is large. We had to wait for a table and sat at the bar and had some good drinks so I do recommend going here just be wary of what you order.

Good if not great Texas style bbq. Nothing really stood out, but it was a decent meal for everyone involved.

The food arrived very quickly and was cooked to perfection. Be warned: the seasoned fries are VERY seasoned fries. The food here was outstanding although I thought the portions were on the smaller side for the price, the old adage "quality and quantity doesn't come in the same package" applies here in my opinion but I'd definitely return when I'm back in the area. The fries were outstanding and fresh cut to order and the chicken tenders were some of the best take-out or dine in I've experienced in a very long time. The drive through was a continuous flow that wrapped the building during our visit and the inside was just as busy but the staff demonstrated great skill in getting the food out in a reasonable time with a friendly smile and a thank you for coming in. I have so many good memories of this place when it was under the Woodlands banner, as this was…read morealmost certainly the best barbecue in the High Country in those days. The Pedalin' Pig may reside in the same location that Woodlands once occupied, and the layout may not be different, but nothing feels genuine about the food offered here. The quality and flavor of the offerings seem equivalent to pre-packaged barbecue and sides you'd pick up in a supermarket. I must not be the only one unimpressed, for this place used to be quite popular but now I rarely find many diners present here. Lower demand may be helping the speed of service, and the staff members seem pleasant, but I wonder if such a landmark is destined to fade into failure. Finding that Woodlands magic would be a great way to recover, but it seems unlikely. For the record, I've also eaten at Pedalin' Pig locations in Boone and Banner Elk, and I've never been impressed by them either. If you like those, then maybe the food here will suit you fine. But if you prefer the Woodlands of old, friends, you'd best just rely on your memories rather than trying what's left behind.

I had researched Yelp…read moreprior, and based on the positive reviews and extensive menu I was excited for our family to give it a try. We were greeted promptly and were able to snag a table. I was surprised to see such a large crowd dining that time of day (2:30). But despite the busy flow of customers, service was wonderful, eager to answer questions, and very attentive. We started with the yuca fries. The absolute BEST I have ever had! Fresh, warm, well seasoned, and large portion. Our family of 5 ordered the Sedona bowl, Black & Blue burger, burrito, one of the boats, and the quesadilla, plus sweet fries and regular fries. We all thoroughly enjoyed our entrees! And loved all the fresh salsa options! Prices were also very reasonable! When we are in the area again, we will definitely return to Coyote Kitchen!

Our waitress was nice and friendly but definitely struggling and the food itself was very mediocre. We arrived around 5pm on a Saturday and sat outside as a group of 7. We started with waters and then a couple trays of chips and salsa. We opted for the house fire roasted and pico options. The chips were a good portion but each one came with maybe one ounce of each sauce...for the 7 of us. We asked for extras and so she brought out one of each... I ordered a chicken vegetable soup which the menu stated was served with a cornbread muffin. When the soup came there was no cornbread so I asked for that and upon her return she said it would be an extra $2.50 even though I literally pointed to the menu to show her that was not written anywhere lol The soup was okay, probably Would've been better with the muffin but I wasn't going to argue over it anymore. For my entree I got two southwest chicken tacos. And those were disappointing as well. Packed with a lot but just did not deliver on flavor, and the poblano cremosa salsa I got was pretty bland too. Overall sentiment from other friends was similar- they ordered bowls, burritos etc but found a lot was left to be desired with their dishes. Come payment time, I opted to use cash since the menu stated 3% surcharge for credit. When I gave her a $20, she returned my tab (after processing the others who put a card in) and I explained I had left cash, to which she asked "oh do you want me to give you a 10 and two 5s?" And I explained, No I just want to pay with cash, I only need the change. And then she gave me the wrong amount of change. So all around this spot was definitely a let down. @azfitfoodfun
