We arrived shortly after they opened, had a reservation and had a great table in a smaller section of the restaurant. The ambiance was calming and comfortable with a modern decor. Our server was very personable and fun. She was attentive at the right time, giving us ample time to feel relaxed and able to enjoy our cocktails and appetizer of amazing fried deviled eggs. All of our entrees were delicious except for the lobster bisque. No chunks of lobster, all creamy texture with a beer cheese soup flavor. :(

The service was amazing - walked right in and got seated without a reservation. Our server was great and attentive. The food is why 3 stars it was just ehhh. We got the potato skins - just lacking flavor with cold melted cheese. I got the chicken which was chewy but the flavor was fine. Mash potatoes were good. Shrimp skewer was just lacking flavor. Hubby got the ribeye, it was fine- nothing special. Kids got the fish was fine after adding lemon and a burger which he ate about half of. Overall the price wasn't bad and the food wasn't bad just not out of this world.

We recently ordered takeout from Stonewalls and it was amazing! After a day of exploring the Banner Elk area we were unsure of where to eat so we checked Yelp for reviews. I also had recommendations from our Airbnb host to eat here but was hesitant because of the live music. Often it's too loud for me but this was not the case here. It looked like a simple one man setup with no super loud equipment. We decided to check out the menu in person and to see if there were any specials not listed online, and I'm so glad we did. We walked in, were given menus and directed to the bar to order. The bartender Colton was extremely attentive and rattled off numerous specials with ease, making a recommendation when I had questions. Once home, the food was amazing and we ate every bit. From bread to dessert (delicious key lime pie and crème brûlée), everything was perfect. We will 1000% eat here when we're back in town!

Our dinner reservation with Stone Walls was amazing. A great surprise for my birthday with wonderful food. Service was amazing and food experience will be remembered. We will be recommending this location to all friends and family who plan to visit no doubt. An item that was not pictured is the pistachio crusted trout our friend had and he raved about it! I plan to get that next time! Thank you for an awesome experience, we will be back!

Fantastic! We loved everything! I have food allergies, and not the typical ones, so I called ahead of booking our table. The hostess who answered the phone went above and beyond to check with the chefs in the kitchen for me. There was a very small list of things that I wasnt able to have and she let me know about them BEFORE we even booked our anniversary dinner. When we arrived the same hostess greeted us and immediately told me that she was the one who had spoke with me on the phone a few days ago. She then led us to our table, let us know who our server was and that she was aware, and the kitchen was aware, of my allergies. When our server met us at the table she immediately confirmed my allergies with me and let us know about the specials, to which there was a lengthy list, and made sure to let me know what was safe for me to have. My husband ordered the fried deviled eggs, and they let me know about a cross contamination between my allergens and the frying oil for the eggs. I was able to have a couple bites, enough to know that 1) they were delicious and 2) not to push it for my allergy. I had the lobster bisque, it was very good. My husband had the ribeye with blue cheese butter, sauté onions and mushrooms (all up grades, but so reasonable) and their stuffed baked potato (the best twice baked potato you have ever had, but again a very reasonable upgraded side). I had the chicken oscar. My husband's steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and my chicken was cooked completely through AND still juicy. It goes to show that in a proper chef's hands, a steak can be a perfect temperature and chicken doesn't have to be dry. We each had a creme brule for dessert and it was delicious. We were completely stuffed when we left and it was the best meal we'd had in years. The meal was extremely reasonably priced and the portions were large. We've spent more at a chain restaurant for much lesser quality food. Our meal was $130, before tip. We had 2 appetizers, 2 main course meals and desserts. That is extremely reasonable for all of that. The server was fantastic, the ambiance was very nice, the host was exceptional and the food was out of this world. If you come to the area this is a must eat spot, but make a reservation! We're local-ish, definitely close to come back again, and we will! Stonewalls, thank you for an extraordinary night. You made it a very memorable anniversary for us.

Walking in is dream like in a mountain town. Outdoor fireplace lit with lightly dusted snow from the night before. Appears the outside area is dog friendly but no heating lamps (I didn't ask, just saying what it didn't appear to have) and it was 25 degrees outside. Immediately greeted by 3 people at 5:30 on a Wednesday. I asked to be seated at the bar since I was singular but they had that closed for seating for the Annual Chamber dinner. They did inform me it would get a bit loud around 6, which was kind. Sat towards the stairs area, which was quaint and only sat a few tables. Doesn't have a partition for noise but they do have a curtain. With that room full of people next to where I was sitting is noisy if you're wanting a romantic dinner, but solo I love the gossip. Haha. The waitress (Reagan) was so kind. She filled me in on the specials and I chose the halibut. But started with the bread and escargot. Bread and butter, how do you really go wrong, but the escargot with pastry on top tasted like dirt. Now hear me out, I eat a lot of escargot and I realize they live and eat most things like dirt. But out of all the times I've had it, it's never tasted like actual dirt. I pushed it aside and told my waitress to keep it on my bill, but I didn't finish it. She kindly took it off anyhow. For an entree I ordered the special halibut and creamed spinach. Both DELICIOUS. The fish was cooked perfectly and the seasoning was perfectly complimented. The creamed spinach is my type of salt level, but if you're sensitive to salt, it's apparent. Ordered the Mississippi Mud Pie for dessert. I'm not a huge sweet eater but I love a good bite or two. Worth ordering and taking to go if you're nearby. Ice cream in the middle.

Trying to cancel my 5:00 reservation for today. Party of 8 for Diaz?

You'll have to call the restaurant

Are there heaters in the outdoor dining area?

Heaters will be up and running in October

What's the dress attire? We are passing through and would love to stop by but we are in jeans?

U r perfect with ur jeans... just casual attire is good

Are the cooks and servers wearing masks?

We ate outside here and the waitress wore a mask. I was not inside, so I can't comment on their cooks.

Do they or anyone in the area stream ppv boxing or ufc fights?

The only place I know that shows sports consistently is The Highlander.

    Is this still opened?

Yes! Under new ownership. Better food and ambiance! Go you won’t regret it!

After looking at our choices of restaurants for breakfast we chose Bella's, our wait was as long as it took to wipe down a table across from the side entrance. The hostess was very outgoing and struck up a conversation while leading us to our table, our server continued the hospitality as she took our drink order and made a few recommendations. The restaurant was busy being it was nearly filled but it appeared like us no one waited on anything the service here was outstanding. We both order different versions of the egg plate one with two eggs over medium, link sausage, creamy grits and an over-size biscuit, the other one egg scrambled, fresh made home fries, country ham and a biscuit. The food was outstanding and delivered to our table hot from the kitchen just waiting for a fresh pat of real butter for the grits and biscuits. The Venue The experience begins long before the first bite. A winding drive through a ranch-like entrance sets a tone of quiet anticipation, leading to a stunning property that feels both secluded and intentional. Valet parking is seamless, and from that first interaction, the service establishes a standard of excellence that carries throughout the evening. The Food The prix fixe menu is a true celebration of farm-to-table cuisine. Each dish is thoughtful, seasonal, and executed with remarkable precision. No two plates felt repetitive; instead, each course revealed a new perspective, a new technique, a new flavor story. We were told the menu evolves constantly with the seasons--aside from the bread, which thankfully remains a constant. And rightly so: it is nothing short of spectacular. While every course impressed, one dish remains unforgettable--the chocolate wasabi ice cream. Initially, we hesitated. Wasabi in a dessert seemed implausible, even risky. Yet our server confidently assured us it was exceptional--and his personal favorite. Trusting his expertise proved rewarding. The result was revelatory: balanced, nuanced, and utterly addictive. So much so that after finishing both desserts, we wished we had ordered a second serving of the chocolate wasabi alone. It was a moment of culinary brilliance we will not soon forget. The Service If the service could be described in one word, it would be excellence. Attentive without intrusion, knowledgeable without pretense. One gentleman, distinguished by his accent and effortless professionalism, stood out as a true asset to the establishment. Service of this caliber elevates the entire experience. Final Thoughts Living five hours away is almost unfortunate--but also an invitation. This meal alone is reason enough to return to the Appalachian Mountains more often. We are grateful to have experienced such a memorable and inspired expression of modern cuisine. Thank you for an evening we will long remember.

That said, once we ordered, the food came out surprisingly fast (5-10 minutes), and they clearly had a solid system in place for how busy they were. It's an order-then-find-a-seat kind of spot. The $15.99 combo special is absolutely the move: a main/sandwich/hot dog, two sides, a drink, and a small piece of fudge. The sides are on the smaller side, but the sandwiches and hot dogs are generously sized, so it balances out. Plus, the fudge at the end is a nice little sweet touch. Plenty of BBQ sauce options that slapped, too. Food-wise, everything we had was really good--flavorful and satisfying. The only hiccup (and the reason for the 4 stars) was with a couple of items. My hot dog was supposed to come with nacho cheese sauce and caramelized onions (I even watched it get rung in), but it came out completely plain. The mozzarella sticks also came out cold, which was not great--especially when you're expecting a cheese pull. When I brought the items back, I was asked if I wanted the mozz sticks microwaved... which was a hard NO. I asked for them to be remade properly which is when an older woman--possibly a manager or owner-- stepped in and did offer to remake them but seemed visibly annoyed. I get your busy, but hey -- my order was wrong so you should probably address that before rushing to the next order. For the hotdog, I told her what was missing and instead of the nacho cheese sauce and caramelized onions that was supposed to come on it, I was handed cold shredded cheese and chopped raw red onions. The food still ended up tasting good, but the reaction to the mistake was disappointing. Overall, it's a solid BBQ spot with great value and good food. I'd recommend it and would go back, though I might try a few other places first. With better handling of small mistakes, this could easily be a 5-star experience.
