I had a strange experience at the Hot Corner. An older guy and 2 younger guys were working and one…read moreof them was pretty responsive to questions about selling cards and buying specific cards. The younger guy asked the older guy about where to find these cards. He told the younger guy, then nothing happened. I stood around for 15 minutes and left when it was clear none of them were interested in my business. They have a ton of very cool autographed bats, balls and other memorabilia that seem to be priced really fairly. This would probably be my first stop if I was looking for a specific players autograph. There aren't a lot of card shops to consider these days, but I will not likely revisit these guys. It seems the bust in card value has hurt the morale as much as the actual business. Coming here felt like a giant waste of time, despite trying to go local instead of online.

Their prices are as fair as they can be being online purchases from other sites are tough competition. They offer a lot of equipment and a good variety of fishing bait. Still at a fair competitive price. The folks there are very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Can't get that from online shopping. Gotta support your local bait shop. And being Sheepshead Bay is going through changes, it is still a fishing community and we need to continue to support our local fishing businesses. This is the place to come to! My only gripe is the hours, but I'll bite the bullet. If they could open at 4 or 5 AM I'd be set. Luckily I'm a flexible guy, even if the fish aren't lol!

This is one of the small-format Targets that have been popping up all over NYC, so selection is…read moremore limited. I don't really browse at these smaller stores, but instead check the inventory online first and then go there to get specific things, which helps manage expectations. We came here because, despite the smaller size, they were the only one in South Brooklyn that had all of the school supplies we were looking for. We were able to order almost everything online in advance, and order pickup was straightforward. For the one item that was too limited in inventory to be available for pickup, I was never able to find it in the store, and searching for it was a bit frustrating, which is how I usually feel just "shopping" at the small-format stores (and why I stopped). The store is two floors with entrances on both 13th and 14th. No parking though, and not an easy area to find street parking. Employees were fine, even if not the most friendly. Not a lot of mask wearing here, unlike some other stores. I think if we return here, it will just be for order pickup.

Found myself in need of a black suit for a funeral. Stopped in at Kings Row which I've seen…read morenumerous times. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by David, and he proceeded to help me out. Got me set up with a nice black suit, as well as a 2nd blue suit,(2 for 1 sale), a black tie, and suspenders,(yes, I'm that old). David was very helpful, friendly and patient with me. Suits are high quality, and all tailoring was done and ready for pickup in 1 day. Are they a little expensive, yes, but the alternative is shopping at a mall with hundreds more people, not too knowledgable sales staff, and questionable quality and tailoring. Highly recommend Kings Row for all your suit needs.

It's 4:30 on Saturday when Keith gets a call from his buddy Vinnie at Bennet's Bicycle's on Staten Island asking if he has the non-standard axle I needed. At 6:30, Keith pulled up to Wagner College in Staten Island and delivered it to me in person. Unbelievable customer service and kindness. Footlocker doesn't sell as much team apparel as it used to, but there's still a small section for that if you prefer to waste money on a Carmelo Anthony jersey!
