Oh my glob! This restaurant is amazing! Super duper cute interior, and very sweet staff. Our server Jess was super nice and everyone else who helped was kind and helpful. And don't even get me started on that raspberry French toast. I'll be dreaming about it. read more

Great pancakes, so many flavors & they can be made gluten free!!! We love coming here, it gets busy so a reservation is important.

This is a pretty busy location, but moves quickly for how many people were waiting. I'm impressed! I really liked the specials menu that had some more unique options like the maple syrup latte and crab cake Benedict I was able to order. Ambience was good and our server was attentive. Parking is in a shared lot, so it's a little hard to find parking near the restaurant. I do wish the waitlist feature was a bit more helpful - this OPH allows you to join a waitlist, but never shares where in line you are which makes it tough to gauge when to show up/join the waitlist. Overall, I'll definitely be picking this OPH over some others due to the faster service! read more

Came here on a Friday around 11 and loved our experience! I used to come here quite a bit a few years ago, and the restaurant still gives me a nostalgic feel. Our server was very nice and outgoing, selling us on an upgrade we certainly didn't need but chose anyways. We ordered the eggnog latte, a hot chocolate, griddle cakes, and strawberry pancakes. Everything was delicious, and perfect if you have a sweet tooth! The pancakes were much smaller than I remembered, but it didn't matter either way because we couldn't finish our meals in the first place. They tasted just as decadent as I remembered though! Things are priced very reasonably, given the amount of food you get and quality. My only somewhat negative note is the wait time. We still had about a 40 minute wait, but I would highly recommend signing up for the wait list on the website! Still, it's all worth the wait! read more

My favorite breakfast spot in the area. The staff are always nice and no matter how busy they get, the place always feels clean and welcoming. The waiting area could be bigger but overall a decent size and I love how you can get free self-pour coffee as you wait by the front. So many pancake flavors to try but my top 2 are pumpkin or chocolate chip! The bacon here is the best but they also have chicken patties or turkey links options. They also have ketchup or a selection of hot sauce to try if you like. Pro-tip: RSVP or get in the waitlist online- it helps a lot, especially on the weekend there is always a waitlist/line. read more

I have been to this location twice. Like all of their other locations this place is clean and very busy. If you want to eat here on the weekends come early. We came at 6:30 am and there were people there but the morning rush had not started. Love their presentation in the menu of all of their pancake options. What sort of scared me is all of the calories listed. That's probably why they call it guilty pleasures. Their pancakes and breakfast are pretty delicious and looked amazing . I didn't feel like something too decadent this morning and went simple with a 2 x 4 with gas browns. Still a lot of food and very delicious. Sometimes simple is best. If you're looking for breakfast this place never disappoints. read more

Solid choice for breakfast lovers. Good food, vibes, and service! FOOD: well done breakfast food. I enjoyed their egg dishes, toast, and brewed iced tea! Highly recommend. PARKING: pretty easy SERVICE: expect a wait unless you find a spot at the bar. The service was very great though. The servers are knowledgeable and were attentive. AMBIANCE: a good classic brunch vibe spot! Bright and cheery. Medium loudness. Overall, I highly recommend. read more

The Original Pancake House - We be back soon. Thank you all - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Maple Grove, Minnesota

Good food, quick service and lots to choose from OPH. I'll definitely be back. Pricey for breakfast but it's good.

Solid breakfast choice is Maple Grove. This place is always busy, so reservation atr highly recommended, especially on the weekends. They use good quality ingredients but food is very basic in taste, hence the 3 stars. We got the cowboy omelette. Its a souffle style omelette, so very fluffy. This isn't my favorite type of omelette texture wise. Lots of meat and cheese, covered in sausage gravy. As with all their food though, it needed seasoning. We also got the eggs benedict. The eggs were cooked nicely and the hashbrowns had a nice onion taste to them. Again, pretty bland though, needed some seasoning. It doesn't seem like they even use the basic salt and pepper when they cook, which could go a very long way in helping the taste of the food here. Prices are pretty expensive consideringits just breakfast. We paid $64 with tax and tip for 2 eggs benedict and 1 cowboy omelette. We didn't get any coffee or drinks, just water. Service is always good here. Staff is friendly. read more

Went on a Saturday and it was very busy! We had about a 30 minute wait to be seated but the staff was very friendly despite the rush. I had a Dutch Baby, which if you've never had before I highly recommend. I also had the orange juice which is incredibly fresh and tangy. read more

Super service, menu and new expansion of this location! We had our family breakfast here (8 children and 6 adults). Our visit was on a Saturday (Wknds are busy ). Make sure you come early, call them to expect you at a certain time and be there. Thanks to OPH staff at maple grove ! read more

The food here is phenomenal! Always hot and fresh, great flavor. And so many great choices on the menu, it's hard to pick just one option! I love that you can order an omelette and still get a side of specialty pancakes. I cannot recommend this place enough! The Original Pancake House - Raspberry French toast. So good!! - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Maple Grove, Minnesota

Honestly super impressed with this location! It's crazy busy all the time but you can join the waitlist online. I've gone twice now and was pleased both time. I got the ham and eggs with egg whites plus upgraded pancakes. First time I got the banana bread aka griddle cakes with cane with a homemade caramel and they were delicious! Way too much powdered sugar though so I scraped that off. My husband got the bacon and eggs with potato pancakes. Nice thick bacon and the potato pancakes surprised me, they were super tasty. The second time he got the corned beef hash with egg whites and the 49er pancakes, also both very tasty! He was happy. He did get a biscuit side to try but we weren't super impressed with that. Everything else including the service was great! Will def come again. read more

Wasn't sure that this place was going to be worth it after all the hype but it was definitely a solid breakfast spot. Definitely make a reservation as the lines get insanely long. Our favorite was definitely the various pancake options we got, but the french toast and Dutch baby were also great. Portions are quite large with the souffle omelets being way too much for one person. They come with their own stack of three pancakes. Great value and a fun breakfast experience. Definitely Somewhere to bring visitors from out of town read more

It's simply the best of all MN locations! The manager remembers you. The staff is beyond words.

Pancakes were so buttery. They gave us a free Apple Soufle because they had extra. Normally I don't like apple flavored things the apple was my favorite. We also had bacon, eggs, oatmeal and fruit everything was hot and fresh! read more

This pancake house is a solid stars. I have visited it about five times and they have never dissapointed. Besides their dishes they have always provided us with high quality customer service. Not to mention their promptness, which is highly appreciated when you count with a limited time in the morning before heading to work. The raspberry crepe is one of my favorite dishes. Just ensure to have some of the compote on the side since it can be too sweet for some. The eggs Benedict are also a win.. although very heavy I should note. All plates are a good portion and the prices are more than fair. We'll be back for breakfast when in the area. PS: Order their freshly squeezed orange juice. read more

Mirta was an excellent server-- she was very attentive and friendly. Outstanding service! Good was great as always, especially the Cherry Crepes and Greek Feta bowl. read more

Original pancake is a great option for a breakfast or brunch out. They've remodeled in the last few years and put in a section of bar seating right off the lobby. Which is great if your a single or couple and want yo avoid a wait. We stopped in on a Friday morning and we're seated immediacy but weekend do get a bit crazy so try getting yourself on a call ahead wait list if available. Our go to's are chocolate chip pancakes, pecan pancakes and omelettes. Food and service are always consistently good. I would say OPH is more a special treat as it is quite pricy for the food you are getting but the overall experience is better than what you would get at say a Perkins or Denny's. read more

Best breakfast in Maple Grove! It's also likely the best breakfast wherever they are located. With a variety of pancakes like you have rarely seen, you will be treated to a Breakfast paradise any time of the day. They have other dishes that are excellent as well but the name speaks loudest. I love the Swedish pancakes with Swedish jam (lingonberry), Dutch babies or their classic pancakes All meats are great sides the sausage Pattie's and slab bacon are family favorites and the omelette are a soufflé so bring an appetite. Amazing staff and lively feel makes this spot stand out so come hungry and come often! read more

Great service at this location, the waitress suggested a seasonal menu item and it was delicious! We were seated right away around lunch time on a weekday, they were moderately busy. I had the egg nog French toast and it did not disappoint- it was flavorful and perfectly cooked! My boyfriend had the hash and he said it was good, though a tad heavy on the onions (4 out of 5 stars). My specialty latte was great as well! There isn't much atmosphere, however the booth we sat in was comfy. The bathroom was clean, the menu expansive, service fast, and overall it was a good experience to have lunch here. read more

The food here is always very good. The menu has a lot of options and you can never go wrong. One of my favorite things is that any age can order off the kid's menu. I got the kid's Simply Perfect Breakfast, and I thought it was the perfect size for a lighter but filling meal. The pancakes were the best part, very fluffy and delicious. My friend got the small plate and said it was good, so I will be trying that one in the future. The ambiance of the restaurant with the fireplace really makes it feel like an upscale experience at an affordable price. One of my favorite brunch spots! read more

The best decorated OPH I've been to, and that's saying a lot. I would travel far for 49er FlapJacks or a German Pancake, The product is perfect and the service is typically very good. I love breakfast food. I love pancakes and could eat them at any and all times of day. I would recommend that if you have more than 2 people, make a reservation! I went to this particular location (it's the closest to me) for the Coconut pancakes as I'd been curious about them for a while. I wouldn't order them again. I just didn't care for them. Have no fear, everything else i've had here has been delicious and they have huge portions. If you order the Dutch pancakes, you need to be prepared to wait. It takes time. If you want to try a non-pancake thing, I'd recommend the biscuits and gravy or the Eggs Jones Benedict. Honestly you really can't go wrong with whatever you order. read more

Greetings from California! I was brought here during Spring Break as a breakfast suggestion, and boy was I impressed: I got the buckwheat pancakes while my girlfriend opted for the griddle cakes, and both were absolutely delicious! The place was busy, but our server was on top of everything and very courteous: I could not ask for more prompt service anywhere! The place felt more like an upscale restaurant than a diner, with rococo-style carpet and warm paint and lighting, which stood out to me and was a welcome change to the diners I had visited previously. I can't wait to eat here again! read more
