Very tasty empanadas! As we know, there are different variations, some are deep fried, and some are baked. These were sort of a combination of both, but weren't greasy when I got to them. Always a plus. The were packaged finely into the delivery box which was heavy and that always makes me excited to know I'm getting a good meal. 4 out of 5 were great! One was probably good for other people, however I didn't like the ingredients and went on a limb. I loved the traditional beef, definitely get a couple of these, I did not however like chicken and cheese. Again, not knocking it, just not my thing. No comment on service or ambiance as I used delivery.

Not cheap but tasty. I recon nothing is cheap anymore. Nice selection of fresh empanadas. We would go back

I love empanadas so why not start my cheat day with some. When I arrived there was only street parking but I found a spot right away. When I walked in there was someone ahead of me but when I got to the counter I asked questions and the server was very informative. I decided to go with the buffalo chicken empanada and beef empanada. She told me I can add a drink for the same price so I went with the lemonade. It only came to about $5.35 which is a bargin. When I got home I put the items away with plans to eat the next day. Who has empanadas for breakfast? I do, because it's my cheat day. I dug in and they were really good. My favorite was the beef empanada. The lemonade was so good. I will definitely be back!

Everyday for the last two years I drove by this little place on the way home from work. If you blink, you're definitely going to miss this place. With that said, everyday as I drive by, I attempt to sneak a peak inside. Well, this past Saturday I said what the hell; Let me try this place. I walk in and they have an abundance of varieties to choose from. WHAT DO I PICK???? I opt for the special..... 25 empanadas for $45. For the five of us, seemed like that'll do the trick. I went with traditional beef and chicken. Then I went with meatball parm, eggplant parm, chorizo and potato and Philly cheesesteak. Meatball parm and eggplant parm was average at best. I wouldn't get them again. Somehow, I never drew a chorizo and potato so I cant say how that one is but my wife said it was very good. Philly cheesesteak was VERY good. Beef was VERY good. The chicken empanada was PHENOMENAL. All were filled and packed you the brim!!! Speaking to the owner, he asked if I've ever been there and when I said no he said.... "Trust me, you'll be back" I was thinking.... wow... those are fighting words.. but.... he was right.... I will be back to venture other types and sneak in a chicken, beef and Philly cheesesteak.

Saw on Grubhub searching for empanadas. There were many selections of empanadas & other sandwiches. I got a few to try them out. They weren't greasy. Not sure if they are baked. Tho hot and fresh & great flavor. A+++ thanks again... see you soon....

The name describes the menu, great empanada and other Mexican/Spanish food. Probably the best takeout Mexican you will get without going to full service restaurant. Advantage is 40% less in price. Definitely a strong recommendation. Enjoyed my Cuban sandwich. Others all enjoyed their food.

Average. They have a TON of options which is great. Lots of vegetarian picks too which is nice. I tried the plain cheese, guava and cheese, mango and cheese and I went on a limb and got eggplant parm. The dessert empanadas are great! Lots of filling. The savory left me wanting more. I feel like the sweet ones work because they're almost more of a puff pastry, definitely not an authentic empanada. They're very very light, which isn't a bad thing. It's not to have a lighter option, usually they're deep fried and heavy. At the same time they're light and not that filled because they're so flaky. I went around 6ish on a Wednesday and they have tons of each flavor so selection wasn't a problem. The gal behind the counter was so nice and helpful. I couldn't make up my mind and she was so patient with me. I'm glad I tried this place, I might go back if I want something quick and its on the way but it probably won't be my first pick.

Sweet little spot I have had my eye on for a while now. I stopped in to this small location which is very small to grab some empanadas home as a snack. The woman behind the counter was a pleasure to deal with and was really helpful in explaining all of the different flavors they offer. I really liked the beef and the chicken and cheese empanadas. They were hot and fresh and you can tell that these empanadas were definitely made with love. I really liked the hot sauce and the "Special Sauce" that they offer for you. I look forward to coming back to try out a few more flavors.

Can I just say how charming and friendly the cashier was! She was so excited about the different flavors, I couldn't wait to dig into my box. She was right the "cheese and olive" empanadas were delicious. My other favorites are house empanadas and Philly cheese empanadas. I gave this review 4 stars because I was to impressed with the beef and cheese / chorizo empanadas, but that doesn't mean that it's not perfect for someone else :) all around great gem found in one of my random exploratory drives.

Long live local mom and pop shops! The individual service is what separates places like this from larger chain restaurants. The saying bigger is better doesn't always hold true. I came home to New Jersey last week this was my second visit here. The food and service are excellent. Just a side note, if you blink you will miss this place no doubt! I was lucky to find street parking in front of the restaurant. We ordered 12 empanadas total, one coffee, and one orangeade (very refreshing) Here's the breakdown of our order: 4 Cuban 4 Chicken 4 Spinach Time to Eat friends! I look forward to coming here again soon.

Buffalo chicken, calzone, spinach feta, and Cuban.

The Garden State is hailed as one of the most diverse states when it comes to food, hosting some of the best Mexican restaurants on the East Coast. Whether one desires a quick taco or a full-course meal, my friends and I were craving rich and bold tastes from Mexico and decided on this family-owned establishment for an early Cinco de Mayo dinner. The reservation was easily made by calling Mariachi Grill, located on Ridge Road in Lyndhurst. Upon arrival at this popular spot to locals, with its cozy and casual interior decked out in traditional Mexican vibes, we were greeted by the staff and immediately got a table by the entrance, but they also have outdoor dining, weather permitting. The menu selection is much smaller than at other restaurants. We decided on the Cheese Enchiladas, Beef Enchiladas, California Burrito, Beef Burrito, Chicken Fries with Fries, and Shrimp Fajitas. Some meals are accompanied with a small portion of rice and black beans. Complimentary house chips and salsa started our meal. As the restaurant is working on their liquor license, it's BYOB. One can bring your own tequila or wine, and the staff will mix it with their sangria or margarita mixes. We washed our meal down with a pitcher of sangria. The presentation was very good. The food was made incredibly fresh, well seasoned, deliciously tasty, and generous. The price was very reasonable for the area. Our server Lisa with her outgoing personality and her desire to make our visit enjoyable, which we didn't feel rushed. Good experience overall, which we can recommend.
