Food and services spectacular!!! It is a small quaint family owned shop with the oldest son being one of the servers who is very attentive and polite. Over all the experience was amazing, the empanadas all tasted fresh and delicious, the waiter even gave us a couple of extra flavors to try and they were so delicious.

Something different about Argentinian empanadas (meat pies) with pasty shells that make them delicious. They give lots of meats on the sandwich and ribs. The fries were yummy with homemade dips. Actually the dips go with everything. They only thing I don't like is that they only serve bottled water claiming the tap water was not good.

Beef Milanesa side salad comes with the meal .. Dressing is delicious

Stopped in today after seeing on instagram for a couple of weeks .. The owner was out front greeted us super excited about his establishment .. Waitress was super sweet and attentive .. My husband is from Argentina so he's been dying for a nice beef Milanesa with eggs and fries and today he was so excited as he enjoyed it and said it was perfect ! I had the crazy salad because I was in the mood for something light and fresh and wanted to try different empanadas and I also had the Dulce de leche latte (OMG delicious) so a meal would've been a lot for me.. The crazy salad was soooooo good and the dressing on the side even better !!! ... We ordered a couple of empanadas and I'll list them below Sweet beef - Amazing !!!!! Flavor perfect Bbq pork - Soooooo tasty !!!! Almost like nice smoky bbq flavor to it Spinach - Was delicious just was a little cold Chicken - The chicken was delicious flavor was amazing I really can't complain about this visit everything was amazing and delicious wish we didn't demolish the empanadas before grabbing a photo !!!! I definitely encourage everybody to stop it whether it's for light eats or heavy the decor is so beautiful and the place was extremely clean ! I look forward to returning soon ! Pics of what we ordered ! Next time I'll grab all the beautiful empanadas

My boyfriend and I came here so hungry and left beyond satisfied. We started with three empanadas: 4 Cheeses, Matambre, and Caprese -- my boyfriend absolutely loved the Caprese. All of the empanadas were warm, fresh, and full of flavor. They also served us homemade chimichurri and a spicy sauce, which paired perfectly with them. After that, we shared the chicken and beef ribs, along with French fries and mashed potatoes, and it was more than enough food for the two of us. Both the chicken and beef were incredibly tender, juicy, and flavorful, and the sides complemented them perfectly. The service was excellent -- very attentive and welcoming -- and the owners were extremely kind, which made the experience even better. We'll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend if you're looking for amazing Argentine food and great hospitality!

I like to support local businesses so I'm always up for trying places around my area. If you want a variety of baked empanadas go check this place out. Hopefully in the future they will serve Argentinian style pizza. Will be back soon!

I really wanted to love these Argentinian empanadas -- especially since they're closer to home and would save me the trip for good, authentic ones. Unfortunately, they were a big letdown. Traditional Argentinian empanadas are usually baked, but these were fried and extremely greasy. The grease overpowered the flavor, making them hard to enjoy. To make things worse, several of them were literally falling apart. Some arrived half open, which you can see in the photos I attached. It was really disappointing, especially since I had ordered a large batch expecting to share with others. The presentation and quality just weren't there. I appreciate the effort, but these missed the mark for me -- both in taste and execution.

Look at this animal of a sandwich! Came here hungry and left here feeling like a champion of the world! Best restaurant in Nutley and even NJ if they keep feeding me like this!

This was a Sunday eatery we ended up eating at when TOPS diner was a 90 minute wait. My partner and I both really enjoy empanadas so, when this place popped on on Yelp, we just decided to go for it. We had the Empanadas (three for each of us). I should have had taken the pics of the presentation which was, in my opinion, very classy; on a long board with *just* enough room lengthwise to have six empanadas on them...each numbered in small lettering made with black food coloring. The numbers corresponded to the menu number (helps to have a paper menu at all times just to you know NOT to eat someone else's empanada). I had by menu number (See attached Menu Pics): 3. Spicy Beef: Beef, green olives, beef, onion, red bell peppers & Sauce The Crazy Spice. 14. Spicy Chorizo: Chorizo, mozzarella & mild chilies. 28. Buffalo Chicken Shredded chicken with buffalo sauce & blue cheese Hands down, I liked the Spicy Beef myself as a favorite. The others were good (although the Chorizo was skimpy on the filling for some reason), the #3 was for me. My partner had: 2. Beef Beef, green olives, onion & red bell peppers 9. Caprese (a kind of open-faced empanada) Mozzarella, tomato, fresh basil 12. Ham and Cheese: Just what it sounds like. Pedestrian to my mind, but he likes them lots as his mom makes similar ones for the family and are quite good. The empanadas were excellent as I've chronicled (to an overly mawkish, and embarrassing format), and we got more chimmichuri sauce by request. It's oily and garlicky and well worth the calories. Enough is never enough? Our server was the owners daughter and related to us they'd been open for about 7 months. That we found the place sheerly by serendipity was a boost to our morale. No, we didn't get freebies, no the "ad" isn't sponsored. We just liked the place. We didn't even allow the our *very* gracious server to deduct the smoothie she didn't bring us with our meal (we got it later, mango in fact); we want this place to to thrive as I know *I'm* going to bring people here. Pay for it and they will stay (open). The *only* thing I asked for was that when I came there again, "The Crazy Mix" was what I was going to get and I wanted the same or more stuff that I saw over at table-neighbors had. I saw it. I was there... so I can relate what I saw: "The Crazy Mix (For Two people)"** Includes: Argentinian Sausage, Chicken, Pork Ribs, Pork Chops, Beef Ribs, Steak and Served with 2 sides. It's an OBSCENE amount of food for $80. I'm not kidding. Kilos of the stuff and that's not an exaggeration. Killer deal. Our table neighbors offered us some that we politely refused while I eyed the leftovers but they gave us some leftover French fries that themselves filled a large basket. And it will be mine in due course. I had the restaurant folks promise me even if they got stupidly successful, I want past the velvet rope should they ever need them and the same or more of the Crazy. You may note the ChocoFlan pic...it's really good. Especially the caramel that soaked into the chocolate cake part. **(NO IT'S NOT. It's for like 3-5. No Kidding - You've been warned)

doing my first review on this platform, travelled an hour over to try this, and it did NOT disappoint in the slightest. empanadas were delicious! ham and cheese + sweet beef were flavorful, and not greasy or oily. dough was flaky and soft. entree (as pictured) was crispy and thin, extremely cheesy, and does not hold back on it's portion. ambiance is comfortable and inviting, and staff are friendly and attentive! would travel the hour and change to come back again, and soon!

The food is great, the French fries are no frozen, the portions are very generous, we enjoyed the food, and the friendly and attentive service. Considering how good the food is and the size served the price is not expensive at all. Absolutely coming back soon with more family and friends

Spinach & Cheeee with Bechamel sauce Soooooo goood!!!!!!!!

Stopped in to see what this place was about. The name certainly throws you for a loop. Anyway, Wow!! This place is gorgeous. It's the old Michaels pastaria. I met the owners wife while I was there and she was incredibly nice and offered me a sample of dessert that they sell. It was a Dulce de leches croissant type pastry. It was very good. She told me they have all sorts of coffees. They even have affogatos which my gf is going to be thrilled about. This time I wasn't hungry, just curious to check out so I only got one empanada. I opted for the spinach & cheese with bechamel sauce. (Now when I tell you this was out of this world) WOW! I mean I'm still thinking about it days later. This variety was shaped different than most empenadas. In a good way. I would have ordered 5 had I known how good they are. The best spinach bread combo item I've ever had. It came with little cups of sauce that were both very good. I drank the rest straight from cup. One was garlicy and the other more vinegary. Cant wait to come for dinner and try their Milenesas which are Argentinian style cutlets which you have your choice of meats: Chicken, Pork, & Beef. I was also told they make sangria.

The restaurant was clean and I was surprised it wasn't jammed packed! We were greeted and asked for a few minutes to browse all of the different kinds of empanadas! There were so many from chicken filled to Philly cheesesteak and fruit filled empanadas! I picked a beef one and a Philly cheesesteak it came with a sauce to put on top. IT WAS DELICIOUS! I could eat 10 in a row! I will definitely be back! I just hate that parking is so bad in that area.

I know some people judge a place based on the traffic inside. Something was lacking, though, when we walked in. It felt empty to say the least. They had a limited selection on an early Sunday, which was surprising. I really wanted to try the pizza and the Philly cheesesteak but they were out. We sampled the Cuban, Buffalo chicken, Chicken bacon ranch, and plain beef paired with a spicy mayo sauce. The empanadas were tasty, but nothing amazing. We enjoyed the Cuban the most. My other gripe is that there are no sides, fries, plantains, rice. Nothing. They took their name too literally. If they add sides in the future, I'll be more willing to visit again.
