For all of us it was our first time at Bestia, they picked the restaurant and glad to say it was a great pick! Everyone enjoyed our time here together for the first time. The experience was amazing from the welcoming of our waitress and the detailed menu descriptions she gave to fun fact about the name of the restaurant! The restaurant was well lit and sounded like everyone was having a great time, laughing and catching up with one another! As well as the staff helping each other out and making sure everyone was satisfied! Angelica, our waitress, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, as well as the rest of the staff! She helped us pick our entrees and appetizers as well. Angelica made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal from making sure our drinks were refilled or bringing another round of drinks, to bringing clean plates for every entree we received! The bone marrow and branzino was definitely a 100/10, my brother who hates fish actually tried it and loved it! The bone marrow left everyone at the table speechless! Thank you to everyone at Bestia, especially our waitress, Angelica, for a wonderful dinner!

Parking is valet. It gets pretty crowded, so be sure to make a reservation ahead of time or show up as early as possible if you are wanting to dine here. Started off with the Peruvian Scallop Crudo and dare I say, this is hands down the best scallop I have ever had. Looked simple, but it was bursting with flavors. Duck Liver Pâté. This was my first time trying any sort of animal liver in my life. Although I was hesitant to try I am so glad I did because it was really good! The touch of truffle was a nice touch. Grilled Branzino was delicious and one of my favorites on the menu. If you are a fan of fish and don't want too much red meat this is perfect! Squid Ink Spaghetti was okay. There was good flavor with each bite and meshed well with the lobster. Oxtail ravioli was okay. Not the best, but not awful. Many reviews have recommended this, but likely would not order again. Overall, the food, drinks, and service were exceptional. The only downside would be how hot it can get while dining there seen it's hot out and the hard metal stools that start to feel uncomfortable after sitting for a while. Strongly recommended if you are wanting dishes that have a nice twist with bold flavors! A definite must try when in LA.

06/06/26 Saturday…read more Pizzeria specializing in Naples style pizza. We arrived around 3:45 PM with a party of 8 and had no issues with seating. They have three rooms of seating and half of them were occupied by diners even at this non peak hour between lunch and dinner. We ordered 6 different pizzas to share. We requested they cut it in 12 pieces but they forgot for some of the pizzas. My favorites were the lasagna, funghi, and shrimp pesto in this order specifically. Something about the ricotta with the tomato sauce and sausage + basil really got me. It was also less salty than all the other pizzas. There were only 3 leaves of basil though. I think adding maybe a handful more would make this pizza more complete. The funghi was really rich in umami and also less salty among the pizzas. The Shrimp pesto was a little too salty. The shrimp paired well with the pesto, like a pasta dish. I loved that we could see them make and put the pizzas into the stone ovens. They have some complimentary toppings on the side for folks to grab. My favorites were the garlic and roasted garlic. They didn't restock on the basil. Seems like a pattern. Parking was plentiful. Prices are reasonable. Pizzas came out pretty quick.

I find the $13 for the bread a challenge, but it was great nevertheless. For the Octopus, it was a 6 out of 5. Possibly the best I ever had. I am not a fan of celery, but I loved the salad that came with it. Who ever knows me: Guido bragging about salad? No way. Then we had the Vodka penne, followed by a Prosciutto pizza. We are good eaters, but we had to pass on desert, we were full. As I said, we went yesterday, a Wednesday. Featured item on the Happy Hour List: the Burger. I only saw them flying out of the kitchen. Take my word: next Wednesday. Same place. Happy Guido :-) $150 well spent, I can't wait to go again. Great ambiance, and even greater service. We were surprised that an Italian place offered an Austrian beer and also some carefully selected Austrian wines. We asked - and were told that the owner loves them and went extremes to make them available. Thanks for reading this. Let me share one very personal thought at the end: THIS is a restaurant that shows love and heart by owner(s) and their staff. It clearly differentiates from any chain place. I wish all restaurants I rate with 5 stars were run like this.

The pizza and burgers were pretty good, the bartenders and servers were very attentive. For a bowling alley it may seem small for today's standard since there's just 10 lanes but the bar and seating areas near the lanes are space out well enough that makes this a great spot for groups.

They only have a hose A/C in the corner that didn't do much to cool the place down. The food though was amazing! As 2 vegetarians and 1 vegan, we had never seen such an extensive plant based option with not only vegan cheeses but meat substitutes with protein! No wonder they have been ranked #1 for multiple years. The starter bread came in a brown bag and was soft and delicious, especially with the house pesto. You could really taste the basil but it didnt feel too oily. We got the calamari because none of us have ever seen a vegan one on a menu! It was breaded and fried and had a squishy center made of pea protein that I guess simulates the real one? It came with a marinara dipping sauce. I could obly have a few because they were fried and I felt like they were a bit too salty Next the pastas came out - the Pistachio pesto and the fusili with sausage. Both were delicious. The pesto sauce was the same one we had with the bread but the pasta had Pistachio chunks in it as well and generous amounts of pesto. The sausage was chewy and the sauce must've had either the same seasoning or chunks of it blended in because you could taste the same flavor in that as well! We had hopes of trying dessert but these 3 dishes were a perfect size for our party and we had been starving ourselves for most of the day for this (probably due to all the protein included in a usually carb only meal). The service was prompt, dishes came out quickly, and water was always filled. I am looking forward to returning to try all the other dishes!

Service was great, and the wine pairings complemented the meal really well. We started with the calamari and tuna crudo. Both were good, although the crudo could have used a little more brightness and acidity--some extra citrus or lemon would have really elevated it. For pasta, the gnocchi was great, but the Pappardelle Brasato was outstanding and easily one of the highlights of the meal. And then there was the tiramisu--absolutely outstanding. Honestly, one of the best tiramisus I've ever had. I would come back for that alone. Overall, the food was very good, with a couple of standout dishes rather than everything completely blowing us away. Beautiful ambience, attentive service, great wine, and a wonderfully quiet dining room. I'd definitely consider coming back--and the tiramisu is a must.
