My mother is a full blood New Yorker. So when she found this place, she felt as though she right back at home. Eataly is not your average World Market, Wholefoods or even Erewon. It's literally like a touch of Italy and Grand Station combined. I made a reservation at the Terra restaurant which is towards the back near the winery. Little did we know that there was an elevator, because we unintentionally struggled up the whirling flight of stairs that led to the restaurant. Since we arrived early, we were able to get seating on the patio area which was absolutely beautiful, granted the weather being overcast. I'm a sucker for a great ambiance and view, and this restaurant checks those boxes. We were greeted by several staff members including our waiter Angel who was so attentive, and knowledgeable of the menu. Everything that we ate was so incredibly delicious and flavorful, no cap. I love for my food to be overwhelming with flavor, especially when I can taste everything that was used. And there was not one thing that was dry, stale or dull. Nothing on our plates were over saturated with oil or bland. It was perfecto! Even the oven roasted sour dough was delicious, aside from the carbs, which was totally worth it. Eataly is such a fun place to explore! It's probably the closest thing you can get to feeling like you're walking around an Italian market without actually being in Italy. There's an incredible selection of fresh, authentic ingredients, with lots of products coming directly from Italy. It's a great place to pick up ingredients if you want to make a really good Italian meal at home, but you can also easily spend a few hours here just exploring. There are plenty of places to eat inside if you want to grab lunch, and you absolutely have to save room for some gelato downstairs. Whether you're looking for lunch, dessert, ingredients for dinner, or just somewhere fun to walk around and soak up the atmosphere, Eataly is a great spot. I know groceries are way overpriced here. However, they offer too good to go bags and the deal is great for the bakery bag. For $4.99, I got 4 different bread products that were best if sold by the date I picked it up. The total retail price would've been over $30. Great place to shop for authentic Italian ingredients. It's a casual modern market. The fresh pasta counter is great. The meat selection is super fresh with Wagyu and Kobe beef. The seafood counter is super great. They had a whole big Tuna fish in the display fridge. All kinds of tother shellfish was also present and all Looked fresh. Cute shopping place with Italian goodies and treats~ We came here around 2 Pm on a weekend, fairly crowded. This place is a market with Italian grocery, food stand, and a restaurant. We got a limoncello and a aperol spritz to go at a stand, both delicious~ We got the bolognese pizza at one of the deli ($10 per slice) very generous size with lots of meat, could be meal for one or snack for two. I really love the whole vibe of Eataly--it feels like a fun grocery shopping experience and they have a lot of really unique groceries that I haven't seen anywhere else. My favorite part of the store is that they have several food stations where you can get a variety of ready-made foods, like pasta, pizza, coffee, and pastries. I tried their lasagna which was decent (meat had a somewhat smokey flavor which was interesting) as well as their Margherita pizza, which was actually pretty light and enjoyable. Food was ready within 10 minutes of ordering and they have several tables inside where you can eat. I also really enjoyed their pistachio tiramisu. They also have sit-down restaurants in the back, which had good looking menus too. The store is located in Westfield Century City, which does have a parking structure, but Eataly unfortunately doesn't validate. However, if you go to Gelson's on the opposite end of the mall and purchase $10 worth of stuff, you can get up to 3 hours of free parking. Really good deal if you ask me. read more

Eataly is always a solid spot for me to pick up food to go. Part of it is nostalgia (as I used to go to their NYC location quite a lot in college) and the other part is knowing my friends from Italy go here for authentic Italian goods. I ordered their funghi pizza, which you could heat up there or choose to take to go. I chose to do the latter and popped it in my air fryer when I got back home. This review is for la pizza & la pasta inside Eataly. It's my first time at Eataly even though I heard good things about it. I had high hopes for the restaurant, but unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations. Came here on a Sunday and managed to snag a table around dinner time without a reservation. Servers were friendly and attentive. We got the melon prosciutto appetizer to share. It was good and the melon prosciutto pairing is always great. Will order this again, though the presentation of the dish could probably have been a bit better. They had the summer of pesto menu going, so I got the pesto basilico pasta. The pasta was cooked very al dente and the pesto sauce was good. My only qualm is that the portion is a little on the smaller side and I wish the pasta was cooked a little bit more (maybe 45-60s more). The pizza was perhaps the most disappointing. We got the diavola dolce pizza and was expecting a glazy hot honey but the honey was very watery and the pizza overall was lacking flavor. I also wish they were a bit more generous with their salami topping. The dough was good, but the entire pizza tasted very bland and more like a regular cheese pizza topped with a couple of salami and a dollop of ricotta. There's way better options for Italian food in the area so probably wont be returning here again. However, they do have a great selection of groceries so I'd probably just stick with the groceries! read more

When I'm at the gym and in a rush to grab a quick, hearty bite before my next destination, Eataly is my go-to. I usually stick to the hot food like pizza, sandwiches, meatballs, and lasagna are all solid. I haven't really shopped the grocery aisles, but the variety looks great. The food is consistently good with nice portions, though honestly, it's a bit pricey. Then again, everything in LA is expensive these days, so at around $20 a dish, it's become the new normal. The staff is always nice, and the cashier who helped me out this time was super friendly. I love the ambiance and the fact that there are plenty of spots to just hang out, catch up with friends, or knock out some work on my laptop. If you love **Roman-style flatbread and grilled panini**, this place is definitely worth checking out! They make their flatbread **fresh all day, around the clock**, and you can really taste the difference. Everything is made with fresh ingredients, and there are SO many varieties to choose from that deciding what to order becomes the hardest part of the meal. We especially loved the **mushroom & truffle**, the **prosciutto**, and anything with that glorious **fresh burrata cheese**. Creamy, savory, delicious... basically, burrata makes everything better. It's a **quick, casual counter-service spot inside a market**, so you can grab your food and eat there or take it to-go. No fancy white tablecloths or elaborate ceremony--just good food, fast and casual. The only downside? **Parking.** I really wish they would validate! This is such a fun little eatery and market that I would happily spend more time browsing and eating... but my parking anxiety has other plans. There are a few standouts still to be had and enjoyed here. The bomboloni at the downstairs coffee bar are excellent and worth going there just for those. At the same bar, is a Cremespresso frozen drink. These two items are 5 stars. Fantástico. The overall facility has lost a lot of its luster, from the opening days. It looks worn and there were a few areas where accidents occurred but no attention was paid by staff. The food section has a plethora of choices in every category; olive oil, cheese, tinned fish, wine, dry and fresh pasta, meats, poultry, candies, etc... The produce section has a great selection of fresh and beautiful fruits and vegetables. Overall a great place for specialty food shopping and snacking. I would love to see them refresh the space. Great novelty, but ease of access is slightly difficult. I live in the Manhattan Beach area and took a day trip to downtown LA. Parking there is quite expensive. The first hour is free, after which it costs $5 for the first full hour, and then billed per subsequent 20-minute period, with a daily maximum of $35. Doesn't make it easy to stop by and try out all their stalls! There was a lot I wanted to learn or ask about, but I cut my trip short to be at the 1-hour mark. I got an americano, and my boyfriend got a white flat. We enjoyed seeing all the snack options, jams, cheeses, and pasta. Everything is so neatly organized and presented. It looks very clean. We noticed there's a lot of ingredients that look really unique to elevate a home cocktail experience...like candied ginger and dried peels. We bought some of those and brought home jams (strawberry, lemon) and spreads (hazelnut). It was a very exciting first trip; everything looked so shiny and exciting. read more

I really wanted to love this meal more than I did. We tried the fettuccine Alfredo, carbonara, and the cacio e pepe pizza, and unfortunately most of it fell a little flat. The fettuccine Alfredo looked great and was definitely creamy, but it was surprisingly bland. I kept waiting for that rich, cheesy flavor you expect from an Alfredo, but it just wasn't there. The carbonara was similar. The pasta was cooked nicely and there was a good amount of pancetta, but again, it needed more flavor and seasoning. For dishes that are supposed to be simple but packed with flavor, both pastas were pretty forgettable. The exception was the cacio e pepe pizza. This was easily the best thing we ordered! The crust had a nice char and chew, and the cheese and pepper actually delivered the flavor I was missing from the pasta. Eataly is always fun to walk around and I love the whole concept, but based strictly on this meal, it was a 3-star experience for me. I walked into this supermarket and felt like I'd suddenly landed in Italy The selection is definitely something you don't see every day , most of the products are imported, and everything looks very upscale and luxurious. Service is normal We grabbed a few slices of pizza and some sandwiches. Honestly, I expected more. The food was pretty average taste-wise. Maybe I just don't fully understand Italian cuisine (NO) , but the pizza slice in the photo was supposed to be a pretty classic combination. Unfortunately, the pesto tasted quite bitter, and I only finished half because I was really hungry. Would I recommend stopping by? Absolutely especially if you're in Century City. Came here for a cooking class to make pasta from scratch with my party of 7. Fabio was an amazing and fun instructor that showed us the way and kept it entertaining. He explained the difference of Northern and Southern traditions and overall, we had a great experience. Each person had their own station so we didn't have to share and we all got to get the feel of ready dough/texture. We got to take our pasta home and ate some at the end. Highly recommend the hands on cooking class. From the beginning to the end, Fabio and his assistant were very generous on the drink pours and had a great spread of appetizers to keep us happy for the 2 hrs we were there. Such a fun time and very private venue for your date night or party with friends. After the cooking class, we made reservations for Terra. We enjoyed the rooftop restaurant and ordered more food and drinks. We went shopping at the marketplace and enjoyed all the things Eataly had to offer. What a fun time to spend the entire day. Today, I stopped by Eataly at Century City Mall for dessert and coffee. I chose the mini cake called Ciccio, and it was so creamy and absolutely delicious. I also noticed that they have Lavazza coffee, so I immediately ordered an Americano. I've always loved Lavazza coffee, and this one was so good --very aromatic, rich, and full of flavor. We went there specifically for dessert. Amidst all the sweet treats, the pistachio tiramisu stood out and screamed at my husband, so that's what he got. It is perfect for gifting and a tad expensive. That being said, we savored every bit of it. It is delicious, not too sweet in some parts (very sweet in others), and I was surprised I could still distinguish the ingredients used. Eataly has to be the most fun market out there. I love Italian food so we shop for products that are made in Italy at this market. They have an amazing selections of organic and gluten free pasta. Also fresh pasta by pounds, butcher's station and fresh produce. I really like the selections of sauces and dry herbs. Lots desserts and gelato to try as well. This place has a lot to offer like Lavazza coffee, food stalls, a big wine shop in the back next to two sit down restaurants. They have wine tastings throughout the store. Egregiously overpriced for food that's literally just fine. The breaking point today would have to be the nerve of charging $16+ for a SINGLE SLICE of prosciutto pizza from their hot counter. The sit down restaurant is tucked all the way back on the second floor so it doesn't feel like you're in the middle of the store. Getting a reservation in advanced would be good, but they accept walk-ins too. We got the brussels sprouts and kale salad and the margherita pizza. The brussels sprouts and kale wasn't bad, it has a very grassy vegetal flavor since the brussels are shaved raw without extra flavoring. The pizza has such a delicious crust, the corners are crispy while the rest is spongy and there's a thin layer of sauce that stands out against the cheese and basil. Anything and everything here is interesting and worth exploring. Bought some cheeses, fresh pasta, and best of all grappa. Can't find this liquor anywhere! We attended one of Eataly's bigger events and it was a blast. They turned the store into a mini food market feel. This was far better in service and food options than the mini one we attended. The food was delicious and the drinks optional a were a lot of fun. Definitely would recommend it to anyone if you are looking for a date night or just something different. Eataly is so much fun!! I have heard so much about it but still wasn't totally sure what to expect. It's a cute, and big shop with groceries (farmers market style), different food and drink kiosks for ready to eat items, and some restaurants. It was really cute to walk around and see all the unique, Italian goods. We had some Focaccia pizza and sandwiches- the pizza was great! Sandwich was just ok. It is a bit pricey ($10 a slice) but it was still such a fun experience. **Note: they use the same tongs for meat and non meat foods. I also got some goat cheese from the grocery and am excited to use it tonight for dinner! If you park in the structure by Macy's you'll be super close to Eataly.
