The Grove is definitely one of the finer open malls in Los Angeles County and since its right next to the original Farmer's Market you kinda have to partially review them both, but this review is mostly about The Grove. It is not a huge mall but very compact, almost in a large circular area. Parking is a bit tough, so get there early. There is parking as well down a block or two from the Du-Pars restaurant which is right at the end of Farmer's Market. The Grove has a big mixture of high end stores as well as your major typical shops and eateries. Some of the places we have eaten at are Alma's Mexican, The Cheesecake Factory, and Sogno Toscano Italian. You cannot go wrong with either. This past week we decided on the Cheesecake Factory for brunch. The landscaping and architecture of the Grove is beautiful with a central fountain. They even have a movie theatre. But, if you are coming to the grove, make sure to check out Farmer's Market. There must be 50 specialized shops in there from Huntington Meats to Dylan's Candy. The Grove is a really cool place to visit, walk around, shop and eat.

This place is close to The Original Farmers Market. Shops are pricey, but this is a tourist destination. Lots of eateries and stores, a movie theater, and even a trolley! There is a Nordstroms, Coach, a Cheesecake Factory, and many bougie boutique shops, a wide selection of stores to shop. Most stores are more of the higher end products, but hey, this is Hollywood. There is outdoor dining near the fountain which is on display prominently in the middle of the outdoor mall. Service is great depending which store you go to. My only gripe is the parking situation. DON'T COME ON THE WEEKENDS. TOO BUSY.

I love the Grove; it has two sections. The older section has the Farmers Market, where you can purchase Fruits, Vegetables, Nuts, Hot sauces, cooked food, and candy--so many delicious foods and knick-knacks. The newer part of the Grove has all the modern restaurants with an amazing view of the fountain. Some of the restaurants have upstairs seating which gives you a nice view of the Grove. If you never been here you must come at least once. The Grove has AMC Theatre, Barnes and Noble book store, Zephora Cosmetic, Clotjing stores, Nordstroms. Sees Candy and much more. Will definitely be back.

They have everything here I love Nike Nordstroms all that!!! I come here at times and I'm never disappointed!!! They have good selections at the stores and good deals when it is sales!!! Very good customer service and easy to find the stores. They have pretty much everything here a good restaurants, and the farmers market section. He also had a movie theaters here too if you want to see a movies. This is a very good mall that is outdoor that kind of reminds you of Americana but slightly different. I always get good deals out of Zara and the Nike store. Very good place to go to in the summer too with the bomb ambience. -Marshay D.

The weather was awesome, and I had business right on the outer perimeter of The Grove going to the key place I detailed in another review. Once that business was taken care of, I decided to mosey about as it was the first time here in quite a long time. Since Chinese New Year is among us, The Grove were sure to point attention to that and paid homage to the Year of the Fire Horse. Went inside most of the big stores such as apple, nike, nordstrom, cheesecake factory and a few others. The only drawback today was I didn't see the little train or trolley in operation but I could have missed it or it could have been taking a break. Overall this shopping center has pretty much anything any adult, team, or kid would want. I was just happy to be out and about. The CSA or customer service all star of this experience is pictured. A true ambassador, he was kind enough to answer a few questions I had for him amidst the crowd as well as in these trying times since war has broken out. Quite naturally, he's got to be on guard and keep alert for any suspicious activity, so I didn't want to keep him too long.

The Grove has become a must go to visit place in Los Angeles. It's trendy, it's still quite new and well kept, and it seems very Los Angeles, culturally. There are many benches to sit. People watching us normal because there's so many people there. I enjoy sitting around the LaLa Land area, sipping my coffee. Very trendy little walkway leading to a parking lot and the property management company. Lots of eateries, shopping, and a Farmers Market. I'd say aside from the shopping boutiques, Nordstrom and the Apple Store are probably the pillars of the Grove... and perhaps the AMC Theater as well. Parking on weekends are hectic. It's not cheap. Even after my Nordstrom validation after a purchase, I still had to pay $15. I'm not sure how much it might cost without validation, but probably x3 of my cost. However, it really depends on how long you stay there. One problem I saw was people bringing their pets, and not cleaning after them. There was a poignant smell around the grass area and LaLa Land. Unfortunately, people step on the dog stuff, and it makes it a bigger problem. Very unsanitary. I think there should be a rule about pets, and a penalty especially for not cleaning up after them. Overall, the Grove is beautiful. Great Los Angeles experience, and decent eateries. Preferably I rather go during the week when it's less hectic.

The beautiful shopping area in LA, filled with truly something for everyone! From LaLa Land cafe for coffee, to pressed juice, to the new Revolve store, there is a store, or dining option for everyone at any time of the day. A worker at the Grove told us there is something for someone who likes to drink, something for kids, and something for those who love to shop. The selection is top tier with both high end stores and stores that may be more for everyone!

Always a great time at the Grove. A nice amount of stores, food, and restaurants to choose from. Great place to hang out with friends or family. Service is always good and the selection of stores for clothes is perfect. Great value bargains for your buck.

The Grove is always a vibe especially during the holidays when everything is beautifully decorated. The store selection isn't quite as extensive as other shopping outdoors , but it's still a great spot to visit every now and then for shopping, walking around, and enjoying the atmosphere. H&M and Zara finally opened up here, which is a nice addition! The AMC theater here is great too, making it a perfect place to catch a movie after grabbing a coffee or doing a little shopping. Overall, it's a fun place to hang out and spend a few hours.

Visited the Grove mid-December mainly for the Jellycat Pop Up and was so happily surprised to see even MORE pop ups. We went through a Spotify, Direct TV, and Bailey's pop up that gave us lots of free goodies! The Grove honestly is such a great place to shop and eat at. I have been there multiple times and have eaten at Din Tai Fung nearby! Just be prepared as crowds can get big since it's a popular destination!

If it wasn't for the pricey parking fee at the grove, I would go much more frequently! Walking around the grove especially with the holiday decorations is so nice compared to the other malls around the area, like Beverly Center. I'm not sure if it's because it's an outdoor mall...it's just pleasing to the eyes. They also decorate according to the seasons. I also like how they let you walk around even when the stores are closed. Their trolley doesn't run all the time so make sure to check the hours if you are going for that! They have good shops from all price range and frequented by people of all ages! The only thing is they don't have a food court like malls usually do, but there's restaurants with all kinds of options like sushi, pizza, burgers, steak throughout the grove.

The Grove during Christmas is pure magic. I don't throw that word around lightly, but this place genuinely feels like you stepped into a holiday movie set. The lights, the giant Christmas tree, the music, the energy, everything just hits at once. It's one of those rare LA spots where you can go on a date night, a family outing, or even solo and still feel like you're part of something special. You do not need to spend money to have a good time here either. Walking around, people watching, soaking in the atmosphere alone is worth the trip. That said, here's a little pro tip that makes the experience even better. If you plan on eating, grab food somewhere on property and get your parking validated so you don't pay for parking at all. Sometimes, if you're lucky and catch the right attendant or business, they'll validate even without a purchase, but I wouldn't rely on that. Parking itself is very straightforward. There's the main structure connected directly to The Grove, additional structures nearby, and street access if you're patient enough to hunt. Just read the signs, follow the flow, and don't rush. This place gets busy, especially at night and on weekends, but that chaos is honestly part of the charm. You just have to show up knowing it's going to be lively and let it be what it is. There's also an incredible mix of stores here. High end designer spots, popular retail, gift shops, and so many food options that you can come back multiple times and still not hit everything. And then there's the trolley, which is completely free and such a fun touch. Yes, the line gets long, but again, patience is the theme of the night. The fact that celebrities casually ride it too just adds to the experience. Rihanna was literally there recently with her kids riding the trolley, and it didn't feel forced or chaotic, just very LA in the best way. What really makes The Grove special at Christmas is that it feels like a shared experience. Everyone is there for the same reason, to feel festive, to slow down, to enjoy the moment. If you plan ahead, come with patience, wear comfortable shoes, and embrace the crowds instead of fighting them, you will have an amazing time. This is one of those places that reminds you that sometimes the best memories come from just being present, walking around, and letting the night unfold. Five stars without question.

The Grove did not win me over. Highly overpacked, high priced items for purchases and there wasn't much that really caught my eye. It's a tourist trap in my opinion. A one and done type of experience. Between the Grove and the Farmers Market, I would much rather stay on the farmers market side.

How much is parking and which restaurants validate parking? Thanks in advance.

You can park at the shopping mall nearby for free, but you need to walk for 8 minutes or so. Alternatively, park at the Grove for a fee.

Should my dog be in a leach the entire time?

Yes your dog should be on a leash the entire time or in a stroller.

Website states all cars leaving after 4PM pay a flat $50 so you can't go to an evening movie or dinner at hourly rate anymore?

I almost always go after 4pm and I pay by the hour

No, I went recently and they didn't ask.

    Not right now

Parking validation is for how long at the Grove?

Any tree or holiday lights at the Grove as of 12/11/2020? What about the food court/outdoor market?

    It's starting to get festive!

What hours are the Christmas tree lights on until (I.e. what time would they turn them off)?

Their hours are from 9AM to 11PM. I would imagine you would have to leave long before they turn of the lights each evening. Unless you are asking when they turn them off at the end of the season?

Can you pay for parking with cash?

Yes, but you have to pay it at the pay station. If you try to pay it at the exit, they will only take credit card.

How is it during the Christmas tree lighting? Is there a lot of people, how is parking, how early should you arrive, and is it even worth going to?

Very pretty during Christmas, huge beautiful tree as most nice malls. Parking is pretty packed on weekends, during weekdays a little better, but if you come earlier during the day you should be ok.

Are there a lot of people playing Pokémon go at the Grove?

    No.

Is there a family room in this place?

Yes, there is family rooms at the Grove and many family oriented things to do.

Better to visit during the day or during the evening?

Both. It's unparalleled during the holidays in the evening, but at regular times of the year both times have their perks. You can get more done during the day, but it lights up nicely at night.

It's the same every day, $24.

Parking - One of the dealbreakers in my opinion. Especially during peak hours, it can feel like a maze here, you'll find that it's very easily to get lost here. Worse part is that parking is NOT FREE. However, there's parking validation but only specific stores. They don't tell you or list what stores give validation but even then, it's not for the whole duration and only for a specific time frame. A bit frustrating to deal with overall. However, there's plenty of good sides of the mall. The shops here are great, there's most of the stores that you'll find when it comes to luxury, and higher end shops. Ranges from Apple, Lucid, Tesla, Dyson, lululemon, Therabody, etc. The vibe here is very modern, lights up very nicely since it's a outdoor mall. It's very pretty here during the holidays, my wife and I came during Christmas to see all the holiday lights, Christmas Carols, and artificial snow, which turned out to our favorites. It was such a romantic and chill vibe, very cool to see this yearly. They often has collaboration events here such as these events, so be on the lookout for that. Food here is decent, over the years, they've added plenty of popular spots like Chick Fila, Shake Shack, but the staples here are most certainly Din Tai Fung, HaiDiLao Hot pot, Ramen Nagi, and plenty of other notable spots. I would say, they're all worthy to check out, just haven't had time to check them all out yet. Directory online and in person is very informative as well for the restaurants. Drinks wise, there's bars around the mall, but inside the mall, my go to here is Chagee Tea and Wushiland, both solid boba spots, Chagee of course is more trendy at the moment though. Very popular regardless. There's also Blue Bottle Coffee which I find very underrated. I absolutely love their Cascara Fizz, very much a soda like drink, definitely worth checking out as well.

On 08/01/25, I parked in their lot for my 11:30 AM lunch reservation at The Butcher, The Baker, The Cappuccino Maker, followed by shopping at Ron Dorff, both located within Sunset Plaza. I stayed on the premises the entire time and have all the receipts and reservation confirmations to prove it. Despite this, I was wrongfully issued a parking citation. When I approached the parking staff with my documentation and tried to calmly explain the situation, they refused to listen. Instead, they accused me of "leaving the premises" because the order time on my restaurant receipt said 11:49 AM. I explained, clearly, that's simply the time our server took our order, not when I entered the restaurant. Anyone who has ever dined out knows there's often a wait to be seated and served, especially at a busy restaurant. But they ignored logic, dismissed my proof, and essentially called me a liar--despite my offer to have the restaurant and my friend confirm everything. Worse, they offered no solution and told me to just deal with the ticket myself. No apology. No responsibility. Just gaslighting and blame-shifting. This is unacceptable. If you're parking here, beware, they are more interested in trapping customers than helping them. I genuinely feel scammed, and I don't want others to go through the same experience.

The mall itself is a typical mall with stores you'd see anywhere else in the U.S., it's not crazy expensive like Rodeo Drive. The main difference is that the Chinese Movie Theater holds movie premieres and the Dolby Theater holds the Oscar Awards, so same, but not the same. I've had issues with paying for parking, though, everything from one of the machines not accepting my card only to find out I was charged twice, to paying a ridiculous amount because the event I went to at Dolby Theater wouldn't validate. My advice is to buy something, anything at one of the shops or restaurants so you can get that purple validation ticket. That way you'll pay $3 instead of an hour's worth of work or more, and make sure to put that purple ticket in first and then the regular white one. And no matter how many times I've been here, the zigzag directions for both the parking garage and escalators are disorienting, like why? Why not make it straightforward? Is the confusion on purpose to make us slow down? I've lost count of how many times I've been here and I'm sure that for one reason or another I'll be back because even though some parts of it are frustrating, for the most part it's good because of the special events it holds and the sheer energy of it being a tourist destination.

Scam ass parking lot and terrible. Mall changed management / identity from the old Babylon shopping…read morecenter, which was iconic. Now you can read Kenneth Anger's book Hollywood Babylon as you walk through a mall that's not related to the name of the book at all. How pointless. And to top it off, you'll get screwed on parking.
