    Sunday Brunch

This place is one of the best bars in Buffalo. On a regular day they are open they have some of the best food. The staff is friendly amd you get a homely feeling being there. On Sundays they BRUNCH! For $20 they have all you can eat eggs, grits, bacon, sausage, chicken, fried fish, waffles, and other tasty items. They also have mimosas for $20 where you can get a bottle of champagne and you choice of drink. Enjoy yourself with some good food and good company with the Bills game on everything TV. If you decide to go during week, make sure you check out their specials. Once a week they come out with something that may not usually be on the menu. Those are always the best to try. Between the ox tails and specialty wings, you will definitely come back for more!

This place is one of Buffalo hidden gems. Great food! I think about 50 different flavored Martinis. Live music on Thursday nights. You can go wrong here. 2 big screens for sport events. And it's downtown but not on Chippewa with all the youngins.

"I can't put enough exclamation points after this statement. This is THE number one cornbread in ALL of WNY. !!!!!!!!!! You MUST come try it. I don't want to spoil it for you with adjectives like - moist, sweet and dessert-like but kudos to Chef Fred Daniel - NICE!" We ordered from a simple island-style menu that featured comfort food jazzed with exotic spices. My beautiful (and also exotic) dining partner and I ordered curry seasoned haddock (her) and jerk chicken (me) which were accompanied by curry rice, seasonal veggies and their famous cornbread. We led off with a Grilled Shrimp Cocktail seasoned with lemon pepper which was excellent. We followed with crabcakes which weren't stingy on the crab and were served with toasted cornbread slices and house made dressing. Throughout our meal, and much later, we sampled from the list of over 50 martini's featured at The Oakk. And now the house band is warming up so we'll catch you all on the flip side!

If it wasn't for their cook-off tonight advertised by Buffalo Rising, I might have never heard of this gem just off of Main Street. This cozy yet trendy bar/lounge serves up some of the most creative drink menus I've seen in Buffalo and is going to become a hotspot w/ $4 martini Wednesdays. Furthermore, their BBQ is up there w/ the best I've had in Buffalo. The Honey-Glazed Chicken melted right off the bone and the sauce is good for someone that prefers sweeter BBQ rather than tangy. It might not be in the best neighborhood but don't let the exterior fool you - the inside of this place is fancy and they sure know what they're doing on the grill.

We came here with a living social deal. They have an extensive specialty drink menu with fun names. The purple haze is really good. They have a martini list with 50 recipes with awesome names like My Hispanic Boo. The food came fairly quickly and they brought us extra napkins without us having to ask. If you are vegetarian this is not the place for you. The entrees all have chicken, fish or shrimp. You will be stuck with just salad. But it is a delicious salad of mixed green lettuce, tomato, onions, served with pita bread. The cornbread is really light & fluffy. The crabcakes are divine. The decor could use a little help. The floor tiles look old and the carousel ponies have chipped paint. But it has an old pub feel. They have banquet services, too. Overall good food, good service, good times!

The Oakk Room also offers great breakfast from 8am to 2pm cash only.

10 out of 5 stars. Wow…read more The owner took care of us personally (Patrick). This place is so amazing. We're here from California and this is the BEST food we had on our whole trip. With amazing personal service. This is a must visit.

He was a really nice guy and told me what his best menu items were. I had heard good things about the steak sandwich and hadn't had one in a while. I opted to get that with some fries. The fries were the best fries I've had. They taste like the ones from McDonald's only better because they aren't doused in salt. The sandwich was perfect. The steak was cooked exactly like it should be and the flavor was incredible. The peppers and onions on top added even more flavor but didn't overpower it. I don't think I've eaten anything faster in recent memory. No take out boxes needed here. The meal is too good not to eat right then. The bar also had a great vibe to it. I'm a big fan of old school style bars and establishments like this. The traditional architecture and nostalgic feeling is perfect here. It's not modernized like every other new bar built in the last decade. It's got character, a great menu, and excellent service. I will definitely be back for more lunch specials and enjoy this spot downtown.

Our waitress was really friendly and told me the French onion soup is one of their popular items, so that got me excited. It came out fast and it was pretty good. The croutons were honestly my favorite part, super seasoned and actually had flavor. This was only my second time having French onion soup though and I'm still on the fence... it felt like it was missing something, or maybe I just don't get the hype yet lol My friend got the chicken broccoli alfredo and I got the cajun chicken linguine. The portions are HUGE, like you're definitely not leaving hungry. She said hers didn't have much flavor even after adding salt and pepper and was already planning how she was going to fix it at home. My chicken was a little burnt so it was dry and kind of messed with the flavor, but the pasta itself was good. I loved that they added a little bread to soak up the sauce. The huge portions made up for the bland flavors. Not even gonna lie, a few bites in my stomach said "absolutely not" which is no fault of theirs, 100% on me for going all in on dairy, so my friend ended up taking both meals home. Overall I'd recommend it if you like a bar vibe, big portions, and solid food. 8.3/10
