Avocado toast.

The view was the best thing this place had going for it, but you can't even dine on the patio to enjoy it. Service was bad but you can't blame Laura as we quickly noticed she was the only server taking care of several tables. Others in my group had the burger and chicken sandwich that looked fine, but my avocado toast was terrible. Brown avocados, poached eggs were basically hard boiled, no runny yolk. This place could be really cool.

Really a 1.5 because, the food was mid and the service was very bad because we got there and ordered and it took 1 hour for us to get our food when there was us and one other person. Then after that they told us they were in a shift change, so they basically lied to us. The ambiance was amazing with a great view of MT. Washington.

We stopped in for dinner and drinks after an afternoon on Mount Washington, and we were not disappointed. The service was impeccable, the food delicious, and the outdoor deck was the perfect spot to watch the sunset over the mountains. We ate at the bar and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. This is a great hidden gem.

Grilled chicken over garden salad. Came with one dressing, which was good-- vinegrette.

Lovely dinner at our hotel restaurant, The Notch Grille. It was busy but not overly crowded (they do recommend reservations). Had delicious appetizer special (fried burrata) and mushroom flatbread. Salad with sliced grilled chicken was solid. Solid fried calamari (was crispy). Creative cocktail menu but portions on the small side (for the price).

Who cares what the chicken Caesar salad looks like.. the view of the mountains is spectacular!!!

Man! This is a little hidden gem! We only ordered the chicken Caesar salads while sitting on the deck, but seriously... look at the view!! The bartender is a great guy. I appreciated their COVID19 safety measures! The hotel this place is in is just amazing!!

This review is tough to write. I've heard so many people tell me how much they love this place...I…read morejust didn't. It's a cute place inside - exposed beam, warm decor and inviting space. A small bar as you enter that was full when we came in. We sat at a small table in the bar area. Everyone was very nice and our waitress was attentive enough - but she seemed a bit busy. But all was fine service wise. So....the food. It's weird. Like trying too hard to be different but just didn't hit the mark for me. I see bread on a menu and I get excited! So immediately I ordered the Parmesan bread with dill pickle butter. The bread was warm and I enjoyed it but the butter with dill pickle just didn't work for me. Lots of other things to me could have complemented the bread better. Then we order the lettuce wraps, they were ok. My friend ordered the duck and I tried it and we both really liked it! The vegetables were good! My sirloin....the steak itself was good despite being a tad overcooked for medium rare. Something on the plate had a curry flavor - it just didn't all go together well. Then the lemon ricotta cheesecake....we didn't taste any lemon, it was thick and weirdly dry for a cheesecake. It also had freeze dried something on top....we actually weren't sure what. Some bright spots - the food quality! You can tell that these are top notch high quality ingredients, and the cocktails! They were yummy! I just don't like the weird combos and what (to me) feels like being weird for the sake of being different versus just being good. Since I only come up here a few times a season I likely will go to our other favorites or try new spots.

Happy to stumble upon this hidden gem near Sunday River. The restaurant had recently won a local…read morecompetition called the best pour award so I had to get a cocktail. I chose the White Rabbit since it's not too often you see carrot used in a drink. It had a good balance of sake, carrot and nutmeg. Benedictine rounded out the flavor profile. I liked that aquafaba (the water from chickpeas) was used for the foam as opposed to egg whites. The food was on point too. Seafood chowder had a nice texture with moderate amount of tender scallops and whitefish. It was more peppery than others. Kale and Brussels was well dressed and the miso stood out. Mildly spicy at the start but the spice built up as you ate it. Duck tacos had a good mix with spicy green apple salsa and watermelon radish. It paired well with the duck although I think it would work with any protein. The chef's fish was cod that absorbed the miso marinade perfectly. Oyster mushrooms were the perfect accompaniment. This sat on a bed of rice noodles. It was sufficient, but found myself wanting a noodle that could hold more of the sauce. The dish was adorned with a fried crispy rice cracker that was a favorite of mine growing up. I also tried a bit of my friend's chicken and farro. Chicken was juicy and flavor was excellent with the chicken flavor enhanced by the spices/glaze used. Farro tabbuleh did embody the flavors of the original tabbuleh (usually consisting of bulgar wheat and parsley with lemon) with a heartier texture. Service was excellent. They were attentive without being intrusive. They waited for us to finish our starters before bringing out our mains. When our utensils were refreshed they were placed on top of a new napkin. Lots of places just put it directly on to the table. I'll be sure to stop by again if I'm in the area.

This is likely the best food around. We went in for happy hour. Service was stellar the entire night. The staff was so friendly, knowledgeable and hard working; a very popular and busy establishment. We had draft Pacifico beers which were nice and cold. We just had to try the baby pork shanks appetizer with zippy peach BBQ sauce served atop fennel and cabbage slaw with grilled peaches. Absolutely splendid dish! For entrees (which includes a salad and focaccia bread) we ordered the herb encrusted prime rib and the chicken saltimbocca. Both were extremely gererous portions. The chicken was moist and flavorful and the mushroom cream sauce was heavenly! The mashed potatoes and fresh veggies went perfectly with this dish. The prime rib was surprisly tough and chewey, but once we notified the staff, they did everything to try to make it right. We finished off with a limocello digestive. We were well taken care of and enjoyed the ambiance of the space and the vibes at the bar. The restaurant and restrooms were spotless. Small parking lot or on street parking. Reservations are strongly recommended as this place fills up fast!

We had a reservation at 5:45 - they told us they couldn't seat us at 5:15 or 5:30 even though more than 1/2 of the dining room was empty when we got there. Sure sign that they are short on staff - but it must be in the kitchen because there were definitely enough waitstaff around. And although there were waitstaff around we barely saw our very friendly waitress. The owner was around and was very nice and accommodating with the kids and offered to make anything they wanted. I had the prime rib - which was cooked to a perfect medium rare and tender but it had no flavor at all. The sweet carrots were the star of the plate. My husband had the rib eye and said it was just OK but again no flavor. My daughter had the bacon burger but it was a hockey puck and all she ate was the mashed potato side. My son had grilled chicken and their "famous" fries (as the owner said) - the fries were the pre battered kind and nothing fancy and the chicken was just that a slab of grilled chicken breast. The fried green beans were good and the pretzels were perfect although the cheese sauce with them had no flavor. We took desserts to go and I am not sure why they called it bread pudding but it was just a hunk of hard bread. We like to support local but not sure we will make an effort to come back here.
