We ended up at The Coffee Pot by accident as we were heading to another place that ended up being closed since it's Easter Sunday. Glad we got re-routed to this local gem! The restaurant is small - about 7 tables and 10 counter seats - and there were 2 parties ahead of us but we only waited about 15 minutes for a spot to open at the counter. There were several specials and hubby got the A la Jim with scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes and garlic. I had the hash with over easy eggs. Both dishes were delicious and filling. Service was friendly...coffee refills were constant...and breakfast for two came to less than $25! This is clearly a local favorite as several people were greeted by name as they walked in. I would definitely recommend The Coffee Pot.

I wish I came here with a bigger appetite! The Coffee Pot was recommended to us by our Airbnb and of course was one of the first results when we searched for breakfast on Yelp. We stopped in early on a Friday and got a table right away. It's a cute and small little cafe/diner with a long wrap around counter and about 6 or so tables. As a covid precaution they had plastic shower curtains between tables, which is not the aesthetic we want but the aesthetic we need. The menu is so simple: eggs, pancakes, oatmeal, coffee (hot or cold). Nothing fancy, everything delicious. I got a bowl of the oatmeal because I really wasn't starving and got strawberries, blueberries, cinnamon and honey added to it. It turned out to be really delicious! All of the extras, coupled with a hot cup of coffee, made it a perfect breakfast. My boyfriend got the omelette, which our waitress said is her favorite and let us know that the bread is all homemade. I of course had to steal a bite and it was so tasty. Good food, good coffee, and a really sweet waitress made this a great morning stop. All for like $16.

I walked out with the ham and cheese croissant with mustard. I was a little weary about the mustard but it was just right. Not too much and complimented the meat and melted cheese (they heated it up before I left.) I also had a salted caramel latte. In al honesty I am not a coffee person but I do love me some match latte. The drink was overwhelmingly cofee vs salted caramel. The last few sips were so sweet and I like that! I also bought a chocolate chip cookie and it was delicious. Crispy edges but a soft center that tasted just right! It was a cool environment with a few tables. Right across the street from the Polyanna statue. Also, the staff were patient and very happy to be at work!

The concept…read moresounded so unique, and a flight of ice cream is basically my dream way to eat ice cream--I always struggle to choose just one flavor. The shop makes tiny-batch ice cream from scratch up in the White Mountains, and it shows in the quality. I went for the egg-carton flight, which came with six flavors: Slopeside Mint Chip, Trillium Coffee, Single Origin Chocolate, Honeycomb, Mount Cabot Maple, and one more I can't quite remember. Each scoop had its own personality--bright mint, bold coffee, rich chocolate, and the maple and honeycomb were especially standout. The space itself is a fun little spot, perfect for a hot day. Portions aren't huge, which I actually liked because it felt more like a treat or snack rather than an overload. My only gripe is that the flavors aren't labeled on the carton, so it can be a bit of a guessing game figuring out what you're tasting. Overall though, between the creativity, the locally inspired flavors, and the chance to try a bunch at once, it's absolutely worth the stop if you're in the area.

It has won various awards, and after just one taste of their ice cream, you'll think to yourself: "Ah, okay - now it all makes sense." I'm finding it hard to accurately describe the flavor explosion when I took a bite of the strawberry shortcake ice cream. It was sweet and tangy, with a crumbly crunch in every bite from the graham cracker. It's as if the strawberry shortcake pops you got from the ice cream truck as a kid were somehow 10 times more delicious and folded into creamy, strawberry ice cream. The place itself is adorable, with plenty of options for outdoor seating both in the front and back. There's even a board where you can spell out words with magnetic letters and a giant checkers game. They've somehow nailed incredible ice cream with a super cool vibe. Service is always fast, friendly, and happy to help you find the right flavor by letting you sample different options. This place is a MUST visit in the Western White Mountains!

Very conflicted about this one. Let's start with the good!…read moreBeautiful restaurant with amazing decor, nice music, very busy and a more mature crowd - love it! Very nice waitresses too, who were doing their best in the limited space. The food is sooo good! Absolutely delicious. The owner/chef is the same guy who used to own the Beal House in Littleton as well - the menu is similar-ish and he is definitely very talented. We started with the milk bread and cheese puffs - have those!! All amazing. The bread is some of the best, if not THE BEST bread we've ever had at a restaurant. Boyfriend had the burger with fries and I had the brisket. OMG the brisket. Boyfriend had a taste of my plate and was soooo jealous he didn't have that too, lol. It was simply amazing. Falling apart with just a fork, perfectly cooked, delicious sauce. He loved his burger and fries as well. I simply cannot say enough about the food! Now a few issues. Small thing. The menu shown on their website is completely different than what they are currently serving, so don't rely on that (it may not bother most people, but I always have to check prior to going to a restaurant because Boyfriend is *difficult* and wants to make sure there's something he will like before we go anywhere). On their menu at the restaurant - they show brewery names (for example "Reklis", "Iron Furnace" etc), but not the beers themselves. So you really have to ask your server what the beers are - they had Schilling's Alexandr on tap which is Boyfriends favorite, but we didn't find out until the end of the evening - if he had known, he would have ordered it. And finally... one of the reasons why we didn't ask our waitress more info about the beers when ordering - she literally had to lean over the table next to us to take our order, so we were trying to make things quick. And that's because... tables are TIGHT together. Like, the worse we've ever seen. The restaurant was absolutely full with people being turned away at the door... this was a Saturday night, maybe if you come on a Thursday, etc, it wouldn't be so bad. But this was so weird. Thank god there was no children next to us (or anywhere in the restaurant) because I don't see how it would have worked. Please refer to my pictures... and see how close my Boyfriend is to his neighbors on both sides. However! Would we return anyway? We both agree we would! (He really wants that brisket, lol). Also at the Beal House, they used to make the best calamari ever, and we're really hoping it will make it on Tall Provisions' menu at some point. I just wish they would remove a couple of tables from the cramped dining room and space things out a bit more! But they are so busy and popular... I guess they need to optimize their space.

We weren't picking up any public wi-fi, but M did notice we got wi-fi from a closed cafe downtown when we sat within a block of it. Then I discovered Internet and Euro Cafe. It's on a side-street down a hill and has computers. Yay? We run in, sit down on the couch... we're still getting the wi-fi from the nearby coffee shop, but that's it. We talk to the owner and she said the internet provider wouldn't allow her to have wireless. We tried to explain she could just hook up a wireless router and give out the password... but I don't think she understood. She said we were free to sit as long as we wanted (without paying anything) and use the wi-fi we picked up. We bought a bottle of soda, $.50, and tried to give her a dollar for it. She wouldn't take it. Did I mention we're the only people in the cafe? How does this place stay open? Unlike every coffee shop we found, the Euro Cafe's hours run from noonish to almost midnight every day. So if you need to use a computer and everything else is closed, you'll find about 20 open ones here. As a disclaimer, it's kind of the basement of the building, so there's a distinct smell and it kind of feels like one of the dingy internet cafes we used in the UK. If you're good with that, check it out!
