Even take-out noodles were very delicious. Good hot soup was set aside to avoid food getting soggy while giving a good temperature when you start with the soup. Like this place. Highly recommended!
Food is yummy. I always like cart noodles. I wish they give me more noodles though. I have already add extra noodles but still not enough for me. Service was fine. There was really not much service needed. You order on your phone. And then pay at the front counter. So the servers are pretty much just bringing you the food. Ambiance is fine. Clean but tiny. I hope they have a bigger location. It feels a bit cramp in there. I will return as I love cart noodles.

I miss the Hong Kong Cart Noodle so much, and found this place on Google! They have a lot of options to choose. The pig intestine and radish taste so good!!!! My friend tried the milk tea, it was a bit sweet....
Ordered noodles with 4 choices of toppings. You can also choose the type of noodles and soup base. You can also add of a side of curry fish balls for $4. That was the lunch special. The noodles were done perfectly and the soup base was nice and flavourful. We had the curry tripe, pig blood, pig ear and beef brisket. Everything was so good. We also had the curry beef brisket and the curry was quite spicy. We also added another side order of curry fish balls. Overall a very good meal and would come back.
The last few times coming here the flavours and noodles are still amazing but why is the portion getting so little. This time I only got four slices of intestine :( The noodle to topping ratio definitely got higher. We tried the imitation shark fin soup with fish maw paste. There were five pieces of fish paste and they were decent. The soup was just alright. I do not think I will get this again. It is not as flavourful and heavy on white pepper as the street ones I have had sadly.
Location/Service This place is located in the commercial Highway 7/Warden plaza with the HSBC, dental and a few bubble tea places. Parking is available all around, including underground. Inside is a very small restaurant - fit around maybe 5-6 tables or so. But you don't stay too long there, so wait times shouldn't that crazy. They do also have takeout service, which is very on time and more of my personal preference. I do appreciate their modern setup and the aesthetic use of utensils. Staff is also very nice and food was fast. Food I've tried this place several times and my go-to is always their 3-topping noodle (~$11). I like how it's customized, so you can really play around to find your personal preference and style. I do recommend their signature sauce (TNB Special Sauce - Sweet & Hot) and items like the HK Style Curry Fish Ball (very tangy), Slow Cook Chu Hou Sauce Beef Brisket (which is really flavourful and soft to chew), Deep Fried Crispy Fish Skin (light and not oily). Other notable items I enjoyed is Abalone (for $1 extra), daily vegetable and beef tripe. This place is more on a local-HK style noodle bar - so it's setup to be a convenient quick place. Going to this place really does make me think back to old memories when I had it in Hong Kong. Definitely a great place in the neighbourhood!
This place is so popular! We came on a Thursday, around 12:30PM - which is apparently right in the smack dab of lunch hour. We waited 10-15 minutes before getting seated, but those who came a bit later at 1PM managed to avoid the wait. My parents ordered the special with 6 toppings, each with the thin egg noodles. My sister created her own 4-topping noodle, also with thin egg noodles. I did the same, but with the flat noodles. The toppings I chose were the shiitake mushroom, beef brisket, curry fish balls, and tripe. I got the special sauce along with curry sauce. The noodles were of great texture and the whole bowl was very tasty and saucy. I found the mushrooms to be too sweet (they were marinated with oyster sauce), and wish there were a bit more brisket and tripe. My parents enjoyed it, though they didn't find it like the traditional HK version of cart noodles (as the chicken wings had bones, apparently classic cart noodles don't have bones). The owner of the place was super friendly and the staff were polite too. Place is a bit small with a single bathroom, but the food is quite good!
It's always good to grab something to eat with my foodie friend, Jennifer. She knows all the good spots, especially in Markham. This time, we went to The Noodle Bar, where we enjoyed a delicious meal that was fully customizable. We got to choose the type of broth, type of noodles, the number and type of meats and/or veggies, and spice level, You can even get extra broth at no extra charge! My bowl included Beef Brisket, Chicken Wings, Pig's Feet, and Shiitake Mushrooms, over Thin Egg Noodles. Hers included Abalone, Fish Balls, Chicken Wings, and Pig's Feet, over Wide Egg Noodles. We both enjoyed it! Although their food was really good, I probably would never have come here on my own. Their social media accounts are not written in English so I wouldn't know what I'm looking at or what I should order. More English language, please. Thank goodness for friends!
老朱車仔麵。Cart noodles are a favorite type of noodles for many people in Hong Kong, traditionally they are all served with cheap ingredients. At the beginning, it was a street hawker pushing a wooden cart, and it was sold on the street. The noodle bar serves cart noodle in a fancy way, noodle texture are good, Secret soup are tasty and all ingredients cook very well. I think he is the owner and also the chef, kind enough to give us secret hot sauce, totally enhanced the taste of the soup noodles (tell them you love spicy food and they will happy to treat you the free hot source) Clean environment and very welcoming services! Recommended

It's very rare in Canada to find a place that would even come close to an authentic experience I had years ago. That all changed with The Noodle Bar! The Noodle Bar offers a small taste of the many tastes and flavours you would find in Cantonese cuisine! With a wide variety of toppings such as HK Curry Fish Balls, Luncheon Meat, Tripe, and many types of noodles like handmade egg noodles and udon, there are so many combinations you customize your ideal bowl of noodles! However, if you want the works, you got to go for the Special Bowl which comes with Slow Cooked Swiss Chicken Wings, Curry Fish Balls, Abalone, Pig Intestines, Slow Cooked Pig Feet and Daikon (aka Chinese Radish) that is brought together by their housemade broth that takes hours to make! There can be a queue at times, so be sure to order ahead or arrive early!

Wary of a wait because of how small the restaurant is. Parking can be difficult on the ground but note there is underground parking. FOOD: Fantastic noodles. Premium serving of the classic HK noodle dish Cart Noodles - 車仔麵. Lots of variety in toppings, tasty soup and noodles. Generous portions and just really good. SERVICE: Fairly good service, nothing to note. Great little mobile web page you can order from in the restaurant to minimize contact during Covid times. VALUE: This is where we lose 0.5 for me. The noodles are great but it just feels a bit too pricey for me. The supreme was $20 before tax! It was good but the value / food equation is a bit off.
I've always love 車仔麵 (Cart Noodles) because I can always customize my noodles and toppings. Excellent for picky eaters like me! I was excited and patiently waited for The Noodle Bar soft opening. Upon arrival, I like it how they will take down my number so when a table is ready, they will call me. I just walked around the plaza and stayed in the car a bit while I waited. I think I waited about 30-45 minutes, but it was worth the wait! By the time I sat down, of course I want order the maximum toppings I can get! The menu was divided into 5 steps, Choose the number of toppings, section A-The type of noodles, there is a variety of oil egg noodles, thick egg noodles, thin egg noodles, and the list goes on! B-you select your own toppings to customize your cart noodles. C-select your sauce D-extra toppings for free such as coriander, shallot and chopped scallions. I chose 4 toppings with Noodle. My selections were the Japanese Sweet Soy Sauce Coddled Egg. Abalone for an extra dollar, Cuttlefish Balls, and Chaozhou Fishballs and for the noodle I chose Thick Egg Noodle. The highlight was definitely the TNB Special Sauce Sweet&Hot and the Lao Chu Homemade Spicy oil. Very delicious and quite spicy, definitely adds a good kick to my cart noodle. Overall, I am glad now we finally have a cart noodle store in Markham! I will be back.
The noodle bar we actually know the name as A Zhu noodles. They were having multiple locations and brands. We had tried some other locations and some one told us this one was also good. They always close early that we couldn't make it before. This restaurant was not big, but the types of noodles and ingredients were varied enough for different people to be picked. And they do have different packages that customers can add on drinks or soups with cheaper prices. We had 2 different types of noodles, then add on a bottle of milk tea and a bowl of fish ball soup. It didn't take long to get the noodles. It was really tasty. The bottle of milk tea was smooth and really HKG style, just a bit small. The fish ball soup was ok, but it was small too. The original prices for those 2 add on items were a bit expensive, for add on cheaper prices, that's ok. We will still like to come for different noodles. read more
My friend recommended this joint during our recent 'food trip' to Toronto. And it didn't disappoint. Place is small and it gets busy, you order through bar code and food is good. I got the Fish Mash Soup w/ Lettuce which brings back my childhood HK street food memories. I also enjoyed the create your own combo(fish skin, pig feet & intestine). Hubby got the House special Lo Mein which was flavorful. Definitely would love to come back again on our next visit in Toronto! read more

It's not easy to find tasty and cart noodles in Canada. And this noodle bar (cart noodle shop) is one of the best cart noodle shops in Toronto that I have ever tried. I especially like to eat their, pork intestine, curry fishballs, raddish and . In addition, we also had a snack of curry squid which was very good. The server response quickly thats really suprising compared with the other store. Even their shop is always crowded but this is the lively signs. read more

I was eager to try a dedicated cart noodle shop, a rare find in the GTA despite all the other HK food options. You scan the QR code for the menu and order through the mobile platform. There are options for customizing your bowl of noodles along with other side dishes. Overall, there's potential here but it lacks the authentic flavours and experience of cart noodles. We tried the curry fish ball with pork skin and daikon had good flavour, but it wasn't very hot, and the pork skin was a bit undercooked and had a bite to it. As for the cart noodles, one of my favourite HK street foods, there was way too much brother in the noodles! Cart noodles is not about the broth but about the stew sauce that elevates the flavour and coats the noodles. We found the flavour to be a bit bland and washed out. Anybody who has had these noodles in HK know you eat with your eyes first and what you see are plentiful stewed toppings with just a bit of broth filling the base of the bowl. Authentic cart noodles should have less broth and the ingredients certainly should not disappear under soup. I think the shop would benefit from giving less broth and stewing their ingredients for a longer time for a stronger punch of flavour. Also, the Swiss chicken wing lacks the signature malty sweetness. The best topping was the pork intestine. You can leave your name and number and they will call you when the seat is ready. Service is very cold. Didn't see a single smile or friendly face during our time waiting or eating. Worth trying to see what the hype is about but that's about it for me. read more

I highly recommend you come here if you really miss hk style "Che jai mein". Their marinated chicken wings, beef briskets, pig feet etc, all taste good. I went there 2 times in a week! With takeout, the noodle portion is even bigger (my impression), I also ordered the everything combo and I can split 2 meals. read more

Wow, this place actually reminded me of Hong Kong. Its a small noodle bar with limited seating and very quick service. The ordering is done through your phone and once you submit your order, it comes out within minutes. I like how you can customize everything, from the noodles to the toppings, to the soup base. We also tried their cold milk tea - I wasn't a fan as I've had better but overall it wasn't bad. If you're looking for a place to grab a quick lunch or dinner, something warm and authentic, I'd recommend giving this place a try. read more

Heard about their infamous noodles with variety of sides you can choose to go with the noodles. Arrived at about 2:30 pm and still have to wait in queue but the wait was not long. I ordered a bowl of noodles with four sides. There were different types of noodles you could choose from. I chose the thick noodle to go with wings, fishballs in curry sauce, red sausages and beef briskets. One also had a choice to choose the type of broth to go with the noodles. I chose the signature one. The broth tasted slightly spicy but it was just a touch, so it was good enough to stimulate my appetite. Everything tasted as expected without much msg. It was good!! On the side, I ordered a bowl of fishball with turnips and pig skin in curry sauce. It was a small appetizer on the side. read more
Good spot for a quick lunch that is reasonably priced. They have a good variety of soup bases, noodles, and toppings including abalone for an extra $1. I found the portions quite decent but you do have the option of paying for extra noodles. You can build your own bowl but they also offer pre-selected options for those who don't want to think. It gets quite busy around lunch time and the restaurant is not big, but service is quick and turnover is fast. read more
Tried The Noodle Bar for the first time the other day. It reminds me a bit of Deer Garden, where you select your type of noodles, broth, toppings, and side orders. Each table has a QR code to scan for the menu / order sheet. By default, everything is in Chinese and I was like how TF am I supposed to order but there's actually a small button near the top left that lets you change the language to English. This is what I ordered: Thick egg noodle Pig intestine Pig feet Beef brisket (chu hou) Curry pig skin I must say, this bowl of noodles was damn near perfect. We all enjoyed our orders thoroughly. The noodles were well cooked and chewy, the broth was strong in flavour, and the toppings were delicious... Especially the pig intestine. If you're feeling squirmish, just close your eyes and put it in your mouth (that's what she said) I'll definitely come back again soon! read more
We came here by words of mouth as we've heard of it for so long. The restaurant is clean, service was prompt and welcoming, we were served with warm water immediately after seated. A hot bowl of soup noodles would be most comforting in the cold weather. The presentations were good, noodles in good texture and ingredients were fresh, however the food and soup base were heavily MSG which made us feel very thirsty afterward. We paid around $30 (including tax) for 2 bowls of noodles which is a bit on the high side. Please reduce MSG level. read more
OKAY, THIS IS AMAZING!!! The broth, the noodles, the chili sauce - everything was just *chef kiss*. Again, saw from a tiktok video and went the next day. It is in the Gal Sushi plaza and although the place is small, it's cozy! The oil noodles is a must order and the chili sauce. The owner/chef was super nice and did rounds speaking to the guest asking how our food was. I definitely will be coming back. :P read more

Service 10/10 everyone here is so friendly and nice, the chef saw that we liked chili oil and brought out a mixture sauce that was delicious, super attentive. Food 8.5/10 broth was clean/flavourful.... the toppings were delicious and well seasoned Value 8/10 for chinese noodles, it's not the cheapest thing but at the same time its very tasty... so its really up to you to decide on the value Atmosphere 7/10 the place is simple decor, cute, open, just a tad small so there could be a wait during peak times OVERALLL 8.5/10 read more

i heard about the Noodle Bar from my Cousin. Finally went here yesterday and it was quite busy but we had table when we got there. I order the Noodle Bar Supreme Bowl which is $20 but you get so much stuff inside. It is worth to get. It came pretty fast and very tasty. The restaurant is quite big and staff and service are good. They are very friendly and recommend what to get and also to get there cold hk milk tea. It is worth it and i will definitely come back there again. read more

A good/mediocre traditional HK style noodle bar ("car son noodle") in TO is rare. The variety/customization is just not economical in the long run. So when this place opened up, we went right away to support and try it out. In short, it's good. It does the job. Noodle Bars allow you to choose your: 1) Soup 2) Noodles 3) Sauce 4) And of course individual ingredients For a takeout, the noodles have the change to be soggy. I tried the yellow egg noodles and thick noodles and they were totally fine after a 30 min car ride. My wife has the thin (wonton noodles) noodles and they were soggy. Portions were pretty filling compared to many noodles places we have been (I.e. FMP foodcourt) As for all the ingredients, all of them were very seasoned thru and anything spicy was not really overly pungent. I really liked the sweet turnip, chicken wing and squid strips. Coming back to try more soon. read more

車仔麵... another child hood memory street food :) I ordered the noodles with 4 toppings: curry fish ball, curry pork skin, chu hou beef brisket, and deep fried pork fat. Each of the ingredient are cooked throughly with care so the items are very tasty! (入味). To me, the curry sauce and the beef brisket sauce goes so well together with the soup noodle and together also with the house sauce, taste very good! Make sure u get all the shallot, coriander, scallions, it just taste sooo yummy all together. Got to mention the evil guilt deep fried pork fat... my favourite!! Those are the left over bite from the pork fat after the pork oil are extracted out when the pork fat are deep fried. You gotta have that! I recommend u eat those bites first while it's crunchy before the soup make it soggy. I do the take so I took the pork fat bites out before I pour the soups in. Yum. Very evil... but yum!! We also get the rice with pure pork oil with soy sauce. I guess this is where the pork oil is used .. haha.. another evil dish. But to be honest, it's a tasty bowl of rice but don't expect too much because after all, it is only white rice with oil and soy sauce. The aroma from the pork oil is something to try if u haven't tried pork oil with rice before. Food wise is a 5 star but it is pricey so just a heads up to you all. :) but i think it's worth it in my opinion, hope they keep this up! read more

Cart noodles (車仔麵) is a classic Hong Kong soup noodle. You get to pick your own toppings to go in the noodles. I picked cuttlefish balls, black pepper beef balls, and curry deep fried gluten with oil egg noodles. I also got some beef brisket sauce to go into to soup base which made it even more flavourful. It is hard finding a good cart noodle place and I'm glad I tried this place! One of my favourite cart noodle place in markham! read more

First time visit and overall experience are great! Clean and quick service. Online ordering user friendly. Quite a good options menu. Value for money. Taste good and presentable. Highly recommended read more
