Very underwhelmed :( wanted to try since its a very short walking distance for me but ended up getting the most mundane acai bowl of my life. Coffee wasnt too great either. Bummer.

This is a solid Breakfast/Brunch place with a lot of quick and simple options. The redone interior is preferable to the old Artopolis interior; there's a lot more room. It's a good place to stop for coffee and quick pastries in the morning. They also have heartier offerings (quesadillas, crepes, sandwiches) which I've yet to try but seem pretty straightforward and hard to mess up. There's a lot of variety for whatever you're in the mood for. The staff is very friendly and helpful, as well. Lots of light and it seems like a pretty good place to work. Plus, they offer 20 oz coffee sizes (a necessity as a college student)! A good option for if you're on the go!

This place changed quite a lot after Covid. See my pictures. Got a cortado and a croissant, both exceeding my expectations. They also had Middle Eastern desserts available, which looked delicious.

Cali Omelete was literally so bad.

Literally what is this "omelette sandwich" it's cubed egg with RAW spinach?? Literally shook who serves this. Ew. Their coffee is good!! But avoid their breakfast and even their shitty bagels

The wine selection is well curated -- great variety whether you're into bold reds, crisp whites, or something a bit more unique. And the food is just as impressive -- absolutely amazing, thoughtfully prepared, and perfect for pairing with wine. Every bite feels intentional and elevated rather than an afterthought. The vibe is intimate but lively, making it perfect for a date night or catching up with friends. Small plates, great wine, and a warm atmosphere come together perfectly. Overall, Sipsteria delivers exactly what a modern wine bar should: great wine, amazing food, great energy, and a space you actually want to come back to.

This space feels more like a full-service restaurant than a café. They offer a full menu featuring Georgian dishes, and my friend tried khachapuri for the first time and loved it. The server mixed the egg into the cheese tableside, which was a nice touch. I also noticed several people stopping in for an early dinner. Seating is comfortable but mostly communal, with long shared tables. My biggest issue here was the service, which unfortunately was very poor. Something as simple as getting sweetener for my tea required tracking down our waiter multiple times, and requests were repeatedly forgotten. My tea water even went cold while waiting. Despite the cute atmosphere, the service experience was frustrating enough that I don't think I'd return for a full meal.

You feel like you're no longer in the city. It is warm and attentive but not overbearing and you are not rushed. I had a grubhub voucher from work so we ordered delivery. I am happy to say it was just as tasty when delivered. The fries were still crispy and pita that came with my bf's falafel plate was hot and steamy (and delicious) as was the labneh! My bf really loved the falafel bowl plate dish and said the falafel was crispy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside. I had some of his pita with the labneh which was divine! Really tasty olive oil. Tuna melt was just as delicious and satisfying as in person. I was surprised the toasted bread was still crispy and not soggy at all like it often can get from take out. I also appreciate that Effys always uses only perfectly ripe avocados it is so noticeable! Also their fried pickles are dangerously good, and their prices are very reasonable. I had a sip of my lemonade, and it tasted like strawberry syrup water and I couldn't taste the lemonade at all. The drink tasted horrible. I normally don't like to complain at cafes or restaurants but given that this lemonade was $7 before tax, we decided to ask the staff if they put lemonade in the drink. The staff answered they had no lemonade. We were very confused because they did not mention that they were out of lemonade when we ordered or even when they handed us the order. It was kinda unbelievable that they would just gave this strawberry syrup water to us when we ordered strawberry lemonade. The staff offered us another free drink after and I just got a matcha latte. Fairly poor experience here. While I appreciated them offering us another drink after we complain, not every one feels comfortable complaining. If we didn't complain, we would've wasted $7. This place would've been perfect for working otherwise. They had a lot of tables and pretty fast WiFi. All their drinks were very expensive though, with most of them being $7-9 before tax.

First of all, I have to mention the prices: we got 6 pastries and 2 hot chocolates for just over $40: a steal in this economy. Second, it was mostly authentic: the "francia krémes" (which they call a "Napoleon" here for some reason) was quite close to how they serve it in Hungary, save for the caramelized and sickeningly sugary top (which I skipped). The "dobos torta" had the reverse problem: its top--the eponymous "drum"--was authentic, but the meat of it far, far too chocolatey. Guys, a slice of "dobos" is NOT supposed to put you in a diabetic coma! It is not even meant to be very chocolatey! It is supposed to be much more subtle, even savory. The pastries we took home, which included several "rétesek," received high reviews as well. The servers were nice, but did not speak Hungarian. My only other critique would be that the space is incredibly cramped. You will be elbow-to-elbow with various Columbia students. My companion also told me the bathroom was filthy.
