I gave my name, they confirmed the contents, and I was quickly on my way. The whole place has such a warm, upbeat vibe--bustling but never chaotic. The staff are fantastic: friendly, organized, and genuinely happy to help. Even on a busy holiday pick-up day, everything felt calm and well-run. The quiche came with clear heating instructions (which I really appreciate, as not everywhere provides them). It was fully cooked and only needed 20 minutes in the oven. The filling was light yet rich, and the delicate filo crust was such a lovely surprise. Not a single slice was left over! The apple pie was perfectly baked with a tall, flaky crust and well-balanced apple filling--lightly sweet, gently spiced, and sliced just right so each piece held together beautifully. This was also my first bûche de Noël, and now the bar is impossibly high. The dark chocolate sponge was tender and filled with real whipped cream and the perfect hint of brandied cherries--beautifully balanced rather than overpowering. The chocolate mousse frosting and thin ganache glaze were flawless, and the decoration (meringue mushrooms and sugared cranberries) made it truly special. The baristas are typically student workers, and they are some of the friendly faces that you may expect to see on campus. The roster of students working here also always changes as each class graduates or goes abroad every year. As a meeting space, this place is pretty ideal. The decorations and menu titles cracked me up, seen in my photos. The cats are in their own area, and every 30 minutes they let in up to six people to visit with them for $5 each. I had a great time bonding with the feline friends, and even got through to the prickly one aptly named Azog (The Defiler). These cats were mostly domestic short hairs, usually very sweet and gentle, especially the dark colored ones. It's a large space they get with shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling, and I'd say almost half of the cats were sleeping. It's a large area for them to roam around and they seemed very content, also all up for adoption! It was a fun experience, and the latte I got was very nice too.
