Pulled pork sandwich
Danyel M.

Yummmmmmmy! Anytime we're in the area-even if we have to go out of the way a bit- we stop by the cafe. The lines might seem long but they go fast and the food is worth the wait. This time I enjoyed their pulled pork sandwich on a potato bun which was their special. It was one of the best pulled pork sandwiches I've ever had. I paired it with a bag of bbq chips, their creamy tomato soup, and a coke. My in laws got a salad, another pulled pork sandwich, and the turkey sandwich. Everyone was happy with their choices. I also brought a couple of sweet treats to go-the brownie and an almond cloud cookie (my favorite treat from them). Afterwards, take a peek at their store. Lots to choose from that you can't get anywhere else!

Nice scenery. It is an experience to come here once. Check the hours of the cafe. Sandwich was nice. Rye sea salt brownies, never heard that before, a bit chewy texture. Flaky croissants. Decent cold sesame noodle too.we got there later in the day, no more hot sandwiches and soup after 3pm I believe. don't miss the live sour dough starter fridge in the store. They name it too. Cute.

Amazing facility with a well stocked store of King Arthur's Baking products, nice equipment, cookbooks, all know NDS of bread, pastries and accessories. A lovely cafeteria style restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. We went there for the amazing baking class they have with super knowledgeable instructors. Thank you Maria, Meagan, Ryan and Emma. We learned 5 different types of pastry crust and came home with 5 boxes of fresh made treats. We will return.

After hiking in the area, couldn't resist stopping here. If you love well-crafted baked goods, or you're a King Arthur fan already, this is a great place to visit, a cafe (with outdoor and inside seating), bakery, and store. And their team was eager to offer tips and answer questions about recommended tools. Bought a variety of flours, tools, and a slew of their baked goods. Still thinking about the pistachio chocolate-chip cookies and the cupcakes.

A baker (or want to be baker)'s dream facility. There's a store where you can buy ALL of King Arthur's Baking products, as well as any tool or gadget needed for cooking. Even starter from the legendary batch of KA Sourdough. When you first park and walk in, there is ample outdoor seating. Through the doors is a lovely cafe where you can buy breakfast, lunch or a snack. This was our sole purpose to the trip to Vermont. We went for the Middle Eastern Flatbreads class and learned recipes for Lebanese Za'Atar, Armenian Tahini Rolls and Pita Bread. Luc and Paige were fantastic and kind and made the formulas (recipes) very approachable and easy to try at home. After we left, we looked up Luc's resume and didn't even realize what a bread celeb we had the honor of learning from. That said, we came home with more bread than i've been able to eat all week. Can't WAIT to go back!!

Fortunately this popped up when looking for a place for a late lunch on our road trip We stopped just after 3. The cafe closes at 4. What they don't tell you, or remove from the menu board is they stop serving soup at 3 (doesn't seem logical) and if they are out of something. I had a ham sandwich- it was good. The bread is challenging when cold. Broccoli slaw- good flavor but dry! Cajun Shrimp sandwich- hubs really liked it. Croissant was one of my favorites. Chocolate chip cookie was bomb! Citrus honey cookie was good Chocolate cupcake- great frosting. Vanilla cupcake- snoozefest and dry. The shop on the side is great too! Cute space and area, lots of seating inside and out

As an enthusiastic home baker, a trip to King Arthur is like going to Mecca. It is really worth the trip. To maximize your effort to get here, first book a class. They offer an array of choices, with many being 3 hours long but for a true culinary holiday, they offer multi-day classes. I gifted my mother a class on making galettes for the two of us. Check their online calendar often as classes book quickly months in advance. The baking classroom was lovely and gave every participant plenty of room to bake. The instructor was efficient and no-nonsense, but friendly and encouraging. You'll bake and box up your creations to take with you. Enjoy lunch in their gorgeous post-and-beam cafe. Lots of soup, sandwich, salad, and coffee options. Then lastly, go poke around their store. Everything in their catalog is available, and more. Use the 10% off coupon tucked into your class folder. There's something to find for every baker. Bon appétit!

If you are a snowbird transiting between the United States and Canada driving through Vermont, this is an absolute must stop! The baking mixes are very varied and unique gifts to bring to people, the items like tea towels, and aprons have super nice designs, and best of all, the coffee and prepared foods are very tasty! You have to make sure that you either order in advance or come early because they do start to sell out of things right around lunchtime. On this trip, I got a chocolate and pistachio cookie that was simply out of this world! I really wish they had a baking mix for it ha ha. I will always be a big fan of this shop and hope to return on a my next trip through the region.

Now I understand why this is such a destination for bakers and foodies. From our nations authority on baking with more than two hundred years of history. The store is filled with a highly curated selection of kitchen tools and baking ingredients. The service is so friendly. And the cafe is so cozy and all of the food is fresh and warms the soup.

Almost skipped this spot en route from Reading to East Corinth (Beetlejuice filming site) due to peak tourist crowds, but arrived early--no rush. Friendly staff; inviting location and building. My egg-bacon sandwich, chocolate croissant, and milk were delicious; wife's ham-cheese croissant so good, we regretted not grabbing extra. Everything fresh and tasty. Don't miss the gift shop--reasonably priced food and souvenirs.

I'm pretty sure I could live here and be happy as a clam. My mom and I came for a baking class and stayed for some snacks from the bakery. I looked at classes about a month in advance and they were all booked up so we joined a few waitlists and got off the waitlist for the biscuits and scones class! It was pricy at $120 per person but SO worth it. Our instructor was incredibly knowledgeable and made each recipe so simple. We made three different recipes and got to take home about 8 scones, 6 buttermilk biscuits, and 7 cheddar scallion biscuits each. You also get to take home the recipes and a bowl scraper! There are tons of delicious options in the bakery and I went with the dark chocolate pistachio cookie and tomato soup-- both delicious. We drove an hour and a half to get here and it was so worth it! They also have an amazing shop to explore.

It's been 15 y since my last visit here and there have been soooo many changes. The cafe and retail has expanded. The cooking school seems to be in a new area as well. I love to bake with the KAB flours and went to see what interesting equipment they were offering. The retail store was filled with more mixes and kits than what I was looking for but it was interesting to browse. The cafe area was large and there were many options including a grab and go section. Since we were traveling, we found this to be a nice stop along our travels. Outside seating is also available If you don't bake, but like to eat nice cafe/bakery items there are thing for you too.

I'm not usually a fan of the monarchy, but King Arthur deserves a crown. I had high expectations given King Arthur is like THE flour company and it did not disappoint. This bakery + store was packed when we got there for lunch with a cute outdoor space as well. The line was long but moved quick so don't be deterred. I got a chai latte with oat milk (classic, well spiced, and a good chai to milk ratio) and the brie & apple sandwich. I wouldn't usually call a sandwich "refreshing" but this one was light but filling. The brie was in nice thick slices and the bread was fresh. My only gripe is that a few of my apples had the core which is not great to eat. I also would've liked slightly thicker apple slices! I got the dark chocolate pistachio cookie for dessert which was very good- the addition of the flaky salt on top really made this cookie *dare I say* classy?! We had to swing by the gift shop on our way out and beware!! you may end up spending all your money here. Everything was SO CUTE! And they had samples in the back and after speaking with the baker I was shocked to find out they were from boxed mixes. Overall, I would definitely put this one on the bucket list!

Ask the Community - King Arthur Baking Company

Is gluten free bread offered for sandwiches?

No, unfortunatley substitutions are not available. There is too much flour and cross-contamination.

How are recipes in the catalog? Do they make a great gift for a baker?

Phenomenal. Best apple and cherry pies I've ever made and eaten from their recipes. Best deep dish pizza, too.… Read more

Does Cafe take Reservations?

It's just a walk up counter service cafe. Make sure you get in the correct line. One is for the pastries and one for sandwiches etc., Line moves fairly quickly.

It has a cozy, rustic vibe that's not trying to do too much. Open at 8am this is a great spot to grab breakfast or lunch- with an all day breakfast sandwich menu. The food came out really quick which is good if you are rushing to class! I got the Miss Marple and a twice baked chocolate almond croissant. The miss Marple was really good; I picked the whole wheat sourdough which was delightfully thick cut which was needed given it was stuffed fully with egg, avocado, tomato. This sandwich was very filling and you could definitely share one. The twice baked croissant was decadent and I would definitely get it again. I've never seen anything like it- it was a like a traditional chocolate croissant with the almond marzipan filling. I would definitely recommend trying it! Located in Manchester VT a very homey little candy shop…read more You walk into this place in Manchester and just kinda think...why does this store fit perfectly for where I am at at this moment? It's truly a pleasant little store. The lady seemed a little weirded out when my brother and I first walked in. We were in Manchester for the night, on our way back to NY from a week in Maine. She looked at us like....hmm I dunno, don't wanna say anything mean bc she wasn't mean lol, she just looked at us ... weirdly lol. Not sure how else to put it. As our visit went on she ended up being very nice. I just hope she didn't think we were in there to like...steal a couple pieces of candy hahaha. I mean, we aren't 10 years old anymore lol. She then went on to tell us about the store and how all the candy is made there (pretty sure that's what she said). I just remember thinking....how wonderful that this stuff isn't imported from places like...ugh China! They have everything! Every possible kind of candy you can imagine...she has it. She gave us a free sample and it was amazing! There are few great candy shoppes in Manchester. This one is definitely one of them. Prices are a little...high. Just a heads up if you go here. Couple things to consider as to why tho... 1) it's Manchester VT. It's a very bougie little town. Only makes sense most things are pricey there 2) privately owned 3) candy is made on site 4) it's Manchester Vermont lol Should this stop you from going? Absolutely not. Even if you're just in to look...it's worth it. Really a cute store. I hope to return to it one day. Living in Idaho, I rarely make it to Vermont lol. BUT IF I DO! I will for sure head back into Mother Myricks! Thanks for reading, YelperMyrickers! Cheers!

From Mother Myrick's in Manchester, VT, we bought a few chocolate-covered orange peels,…read morechocolate-dipped apricots, along with a box of toffee covered with milk chocolate and ground almonds. I also bought a peach-raspberry muffin and a blueberry muffin. The muffins looked great but were without ANY flavor. Downright awful, not sure what that was about, but the chocolates were very good. I don't think they were quite as good as Lake Champlain chocolates, but they were a close second. I always appreciate the freshness factor (in addition to flavor), so it mattered that the orange peel and apricots were very fresh. If we are ever in the area, I'd come back here for sure, but I'd stick with the chocolates only. No more baked goods !
