Two eggs with corned beef hash and toast; one ginormous, fluffy pancake.

I never once had to ask for a refill on hot coffee--a must in a diner setting. The corned beef hash was served in an almost patty form, with a great crust from the flat top holding it together. The home fries were cooked and seasoned very well. A large, fluffy pancake served on the side rounded off a great (and huge) breakfast. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good diner style breakfast!

We were in visiting our daughters. They insisted that we eat breakfast here before going home. We got here a little before 7. Our server was quite welcoming as she handed us our menus. The food was good and the portions were too. We had the omelette (spinach, tomato and feta) and the Irish Benedict. Both were quite tasty although the yolk on the poached eggs were cooked pretty hard and I prefer a runny egg for a Benedict. Our server knew we were headed out to catch a flight so she made sure we got our food and check quickly. I'm glad we got up early to include breakfast at Gilly's before we left.

Another satisfied out-of-towner! We stumbled in with a large group and they all seemed so happy to see us. We quickly got served coffee and it was fantastic. The prices almost seemed like a mistake, it feels like everything should cost at least 50% more! I had an omelet, which I couldn't have been happier with. You can tell when you're getting fresh ingredients. A lot of breakfast places treat the home fries as an afterthought, but these were outstanding. My girlfriend got strawberry pancakes...two giant pancakes for under $3 is unbelievable, and they were delicious! I also had the chance to taste the french toast, which might have been the best thing of all. If I came back to Bristol I would look forward to coming here again.

The eggs didn't taste great to me and were kind of chopped small so they fell off of the fork. Everything else was fine.

I love the breakfast here. My family and I come here and we're never disappointed. Fair portions of food. I always get a meaty omelet.

They were out of a lot of things (like no OJ, etc) but the weirdest thing was that there was a server who was standing in the middle of the very small room, playing songs on her phone's speaker and singing out loud to it. Nonstop. Everyone was confused about what was happening. It made it a very uncomfortable situation. Add in that the food was slow because they were down a cook, you would think that the singing waitress could go help with something in the kitchen to offload the cook. They were not offering any concessions because they were out of things either. Also, behind the counter was also very dirty and disheveled and disorganized, giving it a very unsanitized feel. I'll bet the place wouldn't pass a real inspection. No welcome, thanks for coming, etc. just weird. I will say that the food was good. Wish I could giver higher stars for it, but the overall atmosphere and singing and everything else outweigh the food. They are sitting on a potential gold mine based on their location in the Inn, but everything about it is bad. They need a complete reboot.

A friend recommended this place while we were in a weekend visit here…read more Parking lot was packed on a Friday night but we were seated as soon as we got there. There was live music in the bar but we wanted to sit for dinner so we sat in the dining room. The water was really great. Brought water to us as soon as we sat down and took our drink order. They had an okay selection of beers on draft but nothing that u really loved. Espresso martini that one of us got was good, not great but good. The ahi tuna bowl was amazing. Our son had it and said that everything was great. My wife had the Cape Cod Rueben, which is her favorite go to and said it was phenomenal. Our daughter got the chicken fingers and fries and said the fries were her favorite. I got a grilled chicken sandwich and the breast seemed a bit cookie cutter and not really fresh. The apples in my sandwich were more like a jar jam and wasn't very good. The brioche bun was okay but overall the sandwich was a disappointment. I will say the basket of fries was the highlight for my meal. I ordered the key lime pie to go and it wasn't very good. The menu said it was world famous and won competitions but in my travels, this was about a 3 out of 10 of all the key lime pies I have had. Overall, our visit was good and they deserve 5 stars for service. If we ever go back, I will try something different. I'd recommend giving it a try.

Just up the road in Campton, we discovered Covered Bridge Farm Table--and what an amazing place. The food is incredibly fresh and truly farm-to-table. The staff was super friendly, and our waitress was fantastic. We both ordered the clam chowder, which is gluten free and absolutely delicious--exactly what we needed to warm up. We also ordered the Cowboy Chips, and fair warning: they disappear fast. They were amazing, with the smoked Gouda being the perfect finishing touch. Definitely not your average nachos. As an added bonus, the restaurant overlooks a covered bridge and a river, making for a wonderful view while enjoying our afternoon snack. The menu overall looks fantastic, and we'll definitely be back to try more dishes.

Their bread selection is also pretty good in that it's all hand sliced thick. However, on that note they did not have Rye bread- which is my go-to bread. Now, this price point might seem more appropriate for Downtown Portsmouth or Boston, but it exists for a reason. Not only do you get a large portion of fried chicken, waffles, and syrup, its adorned with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. Effectively, you're getting chicken & waffle eggs benedict. One would need quite the large appetite or have skipped another meal to finish it all.
