The kitties are always fun and sweet. Adoption process is irritating though. I've tried 3-4 times with applications and not once ever received a call back letting me know if it's good or in there's a problem with my application

Vermont's first cat cafe!

I've been wanting to come here since I heard they were open. As the first cat cafe in Vermont, it's a great place for folks to go who want to get some kitty time, but can't get a cat of their own or who want to adopt one (or more) of the beautiful kitties here up for adoption. As a cat mom who has worked in rescue with two of her own fabulous felines, I love cat cafes. My mom and I went in to get a couple of chai and see the kitties. We ordered two of their 10oz chai lattes and then sat nearby to see the cats. They have a separate view of cats for those who like them from afar and are potentially allergic. It's $5/hour per person to see the cats and you can bring your drinks with you. Due to COVID restrictions, they're limiting the amount of guests in the cat area at a time, which makes perfect sense. You can sit in the regular cozy cafe at a bar table by the street windows or at larger tables by the wind onto the cat room. The cat room is a large room with many couches and lounge chairs, plus cat trees and toys for the kitties. The cats will either come to you or you can sit by them. They are quite friendly from what we could see (we were running errands and would not have time to wait for a new session time). The cafe has numerous aptly named hot and cold beverages plus pastries from the famous Red Hen Bakery in Middlesex. There are gluten free as well as traditionally baked items. We ordered a maple frosted gluten free cookie. It was soft and you could not tell it was GF (always a bonus). The chai were delicious, but they were not 10oz. Neither of us had more than 4oz in our cups. They weren't even half full of liquid. Initially, I thought it was just me, but when I asked her, she said the same. I contemplated bringing them back to the counter, but we didn't have a lot of time and so I brought my drink container home to verify that it was a 10oz cup and not a larger cup that was only partially filled. Sure enough, the liquid measuring cup proved it holds a perfect 10ounces. It's to bad that's not what we were served. They weren't expensive drinks, but it was extremely disappointing to not receive a full beverage that we paid for. Had they been running out of chai, they could have told us and we would have ordered different drinks. The cookie and view of the cats was great. The drink issue needs to be fixed.

This is my ho to place to relax and pet the cats! I love cats but currently am not able to own any because of my dwelling restrictions. This is a clean place that has cats separated from the Cafe. The rules are simple... pay $5 to meet them for 30 minutes, be nice to the cats, and don't pick them up. The meetings take place with up to 10 people at a time and take place every half hour.. They may crawl into your lap, but its based on your comfort level. There may be upto 20 cats at a time but some are hiding in their secret places behind the wall. The staff are very knowledgeable, and do a great job of assisting with the adoptions, and the day I went, someone donated a cat wheel! This place is the only cat Cafe in VT, and it's an awesome place to destress and chill!!

I love everything about this place. I adopted my cat from here, and I've been in and out of the cafe a lot throughout the process. The food and drinks are great, the employees are kind and friendly, and the cats are clearly well taken care of. In the process of adopting my cat, everyone was so helpful- they all had anecdotes of their time with her, and many had pictures and videos with her. They made sure we were the perfect match- and she could not be a more perfect cat for me. Definitely check this place out- even if you aren't going to adopt, socialization is great for the cats, and it's not too expensive. Makes a great date or outing. (I've included some pictures of my very perfect cat, Maple fka Nikki )

We drove out 50 minutes from Burlington, so we definitely had high expectations for a rainy day in a cat cafe.

I know it was that long because the limit on the parking meters is two hours and I moved from one in the front to one in the back. Inside, comfortable seating and a fantastic coffee. I started off with a simple cortado that was excellent. Just the right mix of coffee and steamed (not foamed!) milk. The second drip coffee was also rich and delicious. Great service, a neat little hangout here in Barre that was excellent for working on my laptop. Five stars! [Review 1665 of 2024 - 153 in Vermont - 22688 overall]

The service is always friendly and efficient, with a relaxed vibe that makes you want to stay a while. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, perfect for catching up with friends, getting a bit of work done, or just enjoying a quiet moment with a good drink. There's a genuine local charm here that sets it apart from your typical coffee shop. My usual order is the Chai Tea Latte - their house-made chai sweetened with maple syrup and steamed with oat milk. It's rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced. On warmer days, I will switch it up with the Bueno Smoothie, which is just as delicious and refreshing. I often pair my drink with one of their fresh pastries. usually a scone and it always hits the spot. The food is thoughtfully prepared, and the menu offers a great variety of light meals and snacks that cater to different dietary preferences. Espresso Bueno has a way of making you feel like part of the community, and I always look forward to my next visit. Highly recommended!

Offered with pulled pork or tempeh, the crusty baguette, flavorful kimchi and sriracha mayo combined to create quite a tasty sandwich. Served with a small side of ruffled potato chips, it's about 5 dollars more than one would pay at a mom and pop spot in Seattle or SF, but it was as delicious. The Chicken Cesar salad hit the spot, with its warm, thinly chopped chicken. I think the crotons were homemade but I could be wrong. It wasn't out of this world (a zest of lemon and fresh parmesan would do wonders) but it was dressed lightly and was an abundant portion. This cafe has everything going for it and with a few easy upgrades, it could easy be a 5 star experience. Little touches, such as serving meals on real plates and bowls instead of disposals, upgraded bathrooms, rearranged tables, and a clearer and more efficient way to order (the chalk menu inside the entrance creates a bottleneck) would elevate Cafe Noa and make it a true destination for locals and visitors alike. Worth a return visit, for sure.
