Once I got close enough saw BBQ on the truck and eventually the menu which basically had a limited menu.. There were BBQ sandwiches, tacos, and macaroni & cheese. I had their nachos at a recent event and my hand almost fell off by how heavy the cardboard boat was. The chips and cheese was very basic (and some of the cheese clumpy because it wasn't that hot), but clearly they're just sideline stuff. The brisket wasn't stellar, but it did get the job done. I got the chance to try this food truck out today, and my tastebuds were not disappointed. However, my wallet was. The food is a tad bit overpriced. I spent $20 for the Naughty Mac Bowl (brisket over macaroni), a side of potato salad, and a drink after taxes and tip. That's really expensive for a quickly thrown together lunch that didn't have my hunger pains completely satisfied. With that said, the food is good. I was surprised with the quality of the brisket. This is their first day open. I happened to notice it when I stopped at a store in this small strip mall. It is in the spot of a very well known Q truck that has since moved. I do not compare business, rather I let them stand on their own. So, after one visit, it was OK, worth a stop and I will be back to try more. This is their second trailer. The brisket seems to be their forte. It is smoked in a blend of oak and mesquite. It is $17.00 a pound at this time They do not make their sausage and I appreciate that they were read to answer my multitude of questions. I zeroed in on their chopped brisket sandwich ($10.00) as that way I could get a mix of brisket and burnt ends. It seemed it was more pulled than chopped, and that was fine by me as you could eat it with a knife and fork or, if you are not driving, just with your hands. The taste popped! It was a bit salty rather than peppery, but the taste started to grow on me with additional bites. In this first day all the parking spaces were taken up by those in the neighborhood and those looking for the previous trailer. Everyone was enthusiastic about giving them a try. I certainly was one of those. Really friendly people working on a miserable rainy day. I will be back and try more items and update this, my initial review. I have a feeling that this Q trailer is going to be a success and I really hope it is as it is very convenient to where I live. Only been once but that visit was 5 star. (Edit: I have been four more times in the last few weeks, can't get enough of the M&C bowl!) A little wary of pricing - 2 tacos for $13 seems high. Decided to suck it up and splurge the $10 for the mac n cheese bowl and damn if it wasn't delicious: it was a helluva lot of food and worth every penny with loads of mac n cheese topped with like a pound of bacon and meat, then drizzled with BBQ sauce. A meal and a half for me (and I can put it down!) Intensely satisfying. Even ordered one to go! Quick service (compared the trailer that was there previously), and friendly staff. My lovely bride and I pulled in looking for the truck that had been there...and found the Naughty Texan. Decided to give it a try. Had a brisket taco with bbq, queso and other stuff (I forget the name) and it was very good. Had another brisket taco that was fine, nothing amazing. Service was very good, very personable folks. I can't say enough bad things about this place. You would think that buying BBQ from a trailer on the side of the road would be cheaper than sitting down at some of the finer restaurants. Not the case with this place. I was complaining about the prices and they claim to be the cheapest in town and have the best barbecue. Both statements completely false. I was going to leave a 2-star review but then when I got back to the job and saw the portions, I wish there was a negative star I could give. You know how when you buy a bag of chips from the grocery store and it's half full of air to deceive you to make you think there's more. This is what they did with the side items that I ordered. I didn't realize that Valentina's had moved and almost walked away when I saw this truck in its place but I'm glad I gave it a chance! I ordered one brisket and potato taco...it came on a soft, slightly chewy tortilla (not the best but certainly better than many of the local chains!) and it was spilling over with tender brisket and potato. So I didn't know what to expect following in the spot where Valentina's was but DANG! Got a few items to try and wow, very impressed. The 'bomb taco' is ridiculous. Brisket, queso, guac, and BBQ sauce on a flour tortilla. Excellent. 'Brisket quesadillas', amazing. We also tried their pulled pork tacos with jalapeños, onion and BBQ sauce. Went to the truck on Brodie, Not sure this place is going to make it. I should have known something was up when I asked for BBQ sauce and was handed two containers of salsa. The impression provided by the truck is the Brisket is the specialty. I ordered the brisket plate (comes with two sides), The potato salad was tasteless, the naughty beans was equally as bland. I just stopped by the Texaco in Brodie lane to fuel up the truck amd noticed a new food trailer in the parking lot, it is called "The naked Texan" the young women working the place did not know much about any of her offered food products so I orders the sliced beef sandwich $10. Once I got back in the truck I released immediately that these guys have little to no clue about Texas BBQ, The brisket was cut into large chunks that had a bunch of fat still attatched to it and slide off the cold bun and sauce, I tried to pick it up and the bottom bun fell apart, the brisket itself was more like a roast in texture and flavor. I tried to find a phone number to contact them to give Cody some friendly advice on BBQ but could not find a number listed ? So I am reviewing on yelp now, they need to figure it out before they go under. The best thing about the place was the pretty young biker lady that was helping them make signs. I stopped by this place in hopes of a good replacement for the former food truck that resided there. I got what I believe was called the naughty mac bowl. I thought it was really tastey but the mac n cheese didnt taste like it was fresh. The brisket was very salty, but I'm a fan of salt so I didn't have an issue with this. I have two main complaints about this place, first, my item was $10 which I thought was a little pricey. Second, I spent the entire night with the worst food poisoning I have ever had. My coworker also ate here but got a different item and was fine. I'm convinced it was the macaroni that did me in. This review is way late and far overdue. I was on a team that ran an event in Oct of 2017. The event we were hosting was a "companion" event and we didn't find out the date until late. The Naughty Texan was one of a couple of trucks who made time for us (even though he had to rush to our place from another location). Then, due to a miscommunication with the venue we realized too late that we and not the venue had to acquire the permit for the spot the trucks had to park. The Naughty Texan went above and beyond in offering to "cater" the food for the event instead of bring the truck. NOT only that - but, the attendees were very happy with the food. The pulled pork and the brisket were very moist and tasty. We appreciated the flexibility and willingness to do anything to assist us with making our event a success. read more

I got the brisket plate with mac and cheese and naughty beans (which was okay outside of being super salty). About 3 hours later I had TERRIBLE food poisoning. Not sure what part of the meal it was, but I will never take the risk of eating there again. read more
