Parts of the store have been revamped and renovated and they've installed all new pedicure chairs/baths. I'm definitely loving the new color scheme going on and I'm excited to see how it continues to improve moving forward. But let's talk about what's actually important here--the mani/pedi quality. I've only gotten the gel manicure and pedicure from here, but so far I have absolutely no complaints! Gloria, the owner is very attentive and makes sure to ask questions about what style you prefer. I've returned several times since my first visit and plan to continue as a loyal customer. In fact, I have an appointment later today (haha). Definitely worth setting up an appointment and checking the local business out!

Unlicensed unprofessional and Unclean. Avoid this place at all costs…read more I've been here a bunch of times and was always pleased with the service and the way my nails looked afterward. My gel manicures always last over two weeks. Not this time. This place concerns me for a few reasons.. I see no licenses hanging on the walls which means most likely your nail tech knows nothing other than how to paint your nails and absolutely nothing in terms of how to keep things clean. I also noticed they wash their tools in the sink very quickly and then just lay them out to dry. No other measures were taken. If you dare to come here, you are better off bringing your own. The actual gel mani was awful, the girl didn't even wash her hands before touching me, her own nails were absolutely filthy and she didn't even do a great job on my gel mani. There was topcoat all over my fingers, and she didn't push back my cuticles so they already looked old to begin with. Also the finish wasn't smooth and I can see small bumps underneath. I'll go elsewhere next time!

While I liked the place I have been going to for a long time, I truly missed the artwork I would get all the time when I lived in San Jose, CA. So I decided on a lark to call to get an appointment. I was given an appt time by the owner who was scheduled to do my nails. He called me to let me know he was done earlier with a client and if I wanted I could come earlier. Of course I took him up on his offer. I was so pleasantly surprised by the covid precautions they were taking and the place was spotless. They had all kinds of products to choose from which was fantastic. The owner look one look at my nails that have acrylic on them and he said you bite your nails right? He was 100% correct. I loved how gentle he was while filing my nails. There is a mandatory nominal fee which he brought to my attention before he began that they give you a bag of filing products so that you have your own each time you return. While my other nail place as clean I can't be sure they cleaned the files between each customer so in the respect Nick & Van Nails have taken every aspect of possible covid spread and made sure to protect it customers. I have to say they now have a new customer! Loved the artwork too!

When I asked her if she was ok and why was she giving me attitude she said that was her personality and if I wanted her to do my nails. I then left and she only drilled off my nail color. I'm a very nice person and treat people with a lot of respect. The treatment I got today actually made me cry when I left. Please don't take things out on others. They even applied some kind of clear gel over the stones, making them blurry and dull instead of sparkling. I've been going to get and nails back to back for about 3 months now. Up until my last appointment…read moremy nails always came out great and never chipped or cracked. My last appointment was rushed. My nails cracked the same day. I have very weak nails so I like using anc as it is a thick hard coat on my natural nail. My natural nails are all pretty much peeled back because this coat was done so thinly. I really do enjoy this salon and I dont mind the wait to get my nails done properly. But getting them done quickly maybe makes them last 1 week instead of 3 when they were done nicely. I'm hoping next time I will get a more careful nail tech who doesnt rush.

I will not be returning to Diamond Nail & Spa. There are far too many nail salons in Bergen County,…read moreand Bergenfield alone, to continue spending money somewhere that repeatedly leaves me uncomfortable or frustrated. I kept coming back because the location was convenient, even though something weird seemed to happen during nearly every visit. This last experience was the final straw. A dip manicure has previously cost me $45 without extensions or $60 with extensions. This time, I was charged $70 because I requested coffin-shaped nails instead of square. I have never been charged an additional $10 simply for coffin shape. If that is the salon's policy, the price should have been clearly explained before the service began. Instead, I found out when it was time to pay. As far as I'm concerned, the extra $10 she charged to file my nails in a slightly different direction became her tip. I had also scheduled a pedicure. When it was time to begin, the technician Onassis seemed irritated about having to do it and started complaining in Spanish. I don't think Onassis realized that I understood what she was saying. I should have canceled the pedicure immediately, but I genuinely needed my toes done. Onassis then tried to remove my gel polish with regular nail polish remover. When she realized it was gel, she continued complaining to the other employees in Spanish. The massage function on my chair was also broken. I told her it was not working, and she pressed a few buttons. When I explained that it still was not working, she ignored me and continued filing the polish off my toenails. All seven pedicure chairs were empty, and I was the only customer receiving a pedicure. Before my feet had even gone into the water, I asked Onassis to move to a working chair because the back massage is part of the spa pedicure experience I really enjoy. She ignored my request and kept filing. Her attitude made the entire interaction feel uncomfortable and unprofessional. At that point, I pulled my feet away and told her I no longer wanted the pedicure. I paid the inflated $70 charge for my nails and left. I hope the Chi reads this because the salon needs better communication, transparent pricing, and stronger oversight when Chi is away. Customers should not be surprised by unexplained charges, ignored when equipment is broken, or made to feel like an inconvenience for receiving a service they scheduled and are paying for. This was my final visit. I will not be back.
