I have been a consistent customer at The Nail Stop for approximately six months since moving to the…read morearea and, until now, have had no issues with services. This makes it disappointing to leave a review under these circumstances. During a recent eyebrow service completed by the female owner, Vee, I communicated that I wanted my eyebrows thinner. She proceeded using a device, and within 24 hours I developed welts underneath and around my eyebrows, followed by minor pain and visible bruising. I will be attaching photos for reference. I initially attempted to address this concern by phone, but Vee advised she could not hear me. I then visited the salon in person to show the bruising and seek a resolution. I spoke with her boyfriend, who is also an owner, and he called for her to come speak with me. As they spoke in their native language, Vee avoided all contact with me and did not acknowledge my presence, nor did she inquire as to why I was there or address the visible bruising at all. I take confrontation seriously and approach it with the intent to resolve issues respectfully. Because of this encounter, I strongly disagree with the attitude displayed by Vee and the owners' inability to acknowledge or address the injury left behind. For this reason, I will no longer be a customer at this establishment. The quality of work itself has generally been good; however, future customers should be aware that if concerns arise, there may be issues with accountability and customer service, which does not appear to be a priority.

I scheduled my appointment for 4/24, but when I was about to leave, my phone alerted me that there was a tornado warning in my area and it was unsafe to drive. Luckily, I was able to call HV and easily reschedule my appointment to 5/25 with no problems! Upon my arrival, I was immediately greeted with a cold water and directed to my massage chair. I waited for about 10 minutes before a nail tech came over and started my treatment, which was no problem for me at all, but both the technician and the manager on duty were so apologetic and even added on extra time to my leg massage to make up for it! The way everyone goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction is what makes the prices at HV worth it. I was super impressed with my gel pedicure and my acrylic manicure, and I especially appreciated that the nail techs asked me several times throughout the process to make sure I liked everything. The design I got turned out even better than the inspo pic from Pinterest, and they have lasted over 2 weeks with no chipping or breaking! HV Nails is certainly on the pricier side, but trust me when I say you get your money's worth!

I got a standard pedicure, which was a pretty bare bones package of a lotion massage, hot towel, and regular polish. It was definitely not worth the over-$50 price tag. My acrylic manicure was equally disappointing. I wanted the color of my nails to match my toes, but the nail color was much brighter than the toe color and didn't look the same at all. I pointed this out to the nail tech, but all she told me was, "well it says the same name on the bottle so they're the same color." Furthermore, the design I was given looked nothing like the inspiration picture I showed to the nail tech--it was much sloppier and not even close to what I wanted. I heard about this new shop on my neighborhood app. It's a husband and wife duo who used to work in another shop before branching out on their own. Trang and David are very skilled at what they do, and they were extremely personable on my initial visit. Since then, I've been back several times and they greet me by name. Walk-ins are welcomed, but I always schedule an appointment. Since reopening after COVID, I've noticed new plexiglass installed on the workstation and they are always masked. They have been diligent about spacing out customers when scheduling appointments. I've only had one other customer in the shop with me - and they were on the opposite side - 20 feet away. This is my new nail spa. I'm here to stay. Come join me!
