This is my go to nail salon when in town. The vibe is so welcoming and comfortable like the comfy couches in the waiting area that hug you like ur mom does. It's nice and spacious so even when busy it doesn't feel as such. Every individual I have interacted with here is so nice. The mani and pedis are top tier. I will literally wait to get mani pedis after I land just to come here. I love Nina Nails! I have natural nails, so I usually only get manicures and pedicures, occasionally opting for gel nails but not very often. DAT is my go to person, and he has never disappointed me. He provides excellent service. Since I moved, I don't get to see him as often, but when I do get my manicures, I happily make the 30-minute drive. Nina Nails will always be my favorite nail salon. I have been shopping around the area for a go to nail salon for years. And I have been coming here for the last six months or so. I would give them a strong 3.5 rating over all. I have had two people here I would give a strong 4.5 stars. The space is nice enough and some of the people have been amazing. I think it would be even better if they focused on constant good customer service and communication. It would also be better in my opinion if they kept the same staff. I have been here many times and had okay technicians, and a couple awesome ones. But with a constant rotation it's hard to get the same person twice. read more

The technician did not completely remove the existing polish before repainting my nails, which resulted in an uneven, lumpy finish and there were bubbles in the paint. Most other salons seem to let you put an appointment down but then have you wait after that time etc. Not here and you can book online - super easy. Waited over 45 minutes in soaking water for a pedicure and still had to wait longer decided to walk out. I felt bad at first because I was 8 minutes late but I asked if they could still accommodate me and they said yes. Also, I've been there plenty of times and have had to wait on them and never once had I complained about waiting 20 plus minutes. We had a great conversation and he made the time pass quickly. He did a wonderful job with my super short nails and I'm really happy with the resulted. I have been looking for a place to get my pedicure that is also close to home and this place is it. I called over the weekend and scheduled an appointment for me to get my pedicure. The lady that took my information over the phone was nice and polite. Scheduling was a breeze. I get there the day and time of my appointment, signed in to their tablet for my appointment and told the two women behind the desk my name and appointment time. They instructed me to pick my color and they would be right with me. I picked my color and they had me in the pedicure chair in no time. The shop I noticed instantly was very clean and up to date. The music they were playing over the system was nice. Not a lot of noise. Yet peaceful. The lady giving me my pedicure started up conversation with me and was very friendly. She gave me one of the best pedicures I have had in a while. After my pedicure I was taken over to the drying area. I stayed there a while to make sure my polish was dry. Paid for my service, given a rewards card and was out of there in no time at all. I loved that I did not have to wait long for my pedicure. The service was definitely worth every penny. I broke a nail at work & decided to run in here and get it fixed with my fill in. Keep in mind my tips are white so all I needed was a fill with clear polish on top. I walked in at 10am and was completely finished by 10:20am. Very fast service. The staff were very kind as well. I feel like my technician was rushing through the fill. After she filed my nails she didn't ask me to wash them. She just started paining the clear polish over them. So now I have particles/debris that is very visible under the polish. I took a picture of the new nail she had to replaced and you can clearly see it. My French tips don't even look white. I also thought $50 for a fill, single repair, and clear gel polish was a bit pricey especially for the quality of work I received. I also got to the car and noticed I had a big piece of dried acrylic stuck to the side of my pointer finger. The inside was lovely and very clean as well. He is catering, soft spoken, and doesn't speak loud when doing my nails. I have had terrible experiences where the workers would talk the entire time that I got my services done and it would take away from my relaxing experience. I paid $98 dollars for my feet and hands my feet was just polish and my hands were removable of nail tips and had a over lay on top of my nails the color I love but the nail job should have been better I noticed that when they start getting busy then they want to rush doing your nails and I don't play that not when I'm spending my money so after I get this issue corrected I will have to find another nail salon. The quality of work done on my nails is not good at all you can see it for yourself. If anyone knows of a good quality nail salon please let me know. Nina Nails have changed owner! Beware! As a long time customer of the prior owners the new owners is not up to standards!!!! They don't require you to wash your hands 1st before being serve. That was the first thing I notice! I should have left and not had any services !!! When I had my overlay done the the nail technician was starting to apply polish. I asked don't I need to wash my hands first she said "no." I thought maybe she had a new way of doing my nails. After she did my nails they were gritty! The debris from sanding, shaping and filling my nails was locked into the nail polish! Yuck! Yuck!! I didn't realize it until I got home and washed my hand. I had a polish change for the toe nails. I have always done that for years!!! I always shower right before getting my nails done to make sure they are clean. The next day while looking at my toes I noticed there was a white/gray film on my toe nails. I washed my feet and toes and it didn't come off. I took a soft cloth to buff them to see if would come off. Nope, still there. Because I work long hours and could not return to the Nina Nails to show them the problem I call them. I explained to the person who answered the phone my problem and how do they plan to address it at no charge? He came up excuses on why my toe nails polished changed and told me I would have to pay for my toes to be redone. I replied that was not good service and since I been having my nails done for over 20 years and more I never encountered such a problem before! I told him that was poor service and having paid $77.00 plus tip I would not return to their shop. I would post my review on Yelp, other social medias and tell all my friends and those who read review. "Beware!" Nina Nails at 86th and Township Road is under new ownership! Service and standards are very subpar!!! I had my both my finger and toe nails done there this November of 2022. I will not return! I was so excited to be able to get an appointment since my regular place and nail tech was booked so i booked here with Alex who is the owner. I've heard he does fantastic nails so i was super excited to try him out. I've went here before and Haley did a great job. I was not as happy this go around i received a call asking if i can come earlier than my scheduled appointment and that worked better for me so i went in but another gentleman did my sns service. He was very nice but my nails are way too thick which gives off an unnatural look and feel. The owner rang me up for $45 and never asked if i was happy with my service. I have been coming here for the past 6 months straight I had one incident where I couldn't make my appointment I called to let them know because I always want people to be aware if I'm running late or not gonna show at all. I made appointment after that two more times came in for both appointments my last appointment my gel came off my big toe the next following day from leaving the nail shop. I ask the man that sit in the third seat he the one answered phone if I can come and get my toe fixed he tells me you have to many no calls or no show. The guy in the nail establishment is EXTREMELY RUDE. He over talks the clients over the phone and in person. I was in for a pedicure with gel Polish. The dryer was not working so the tech did not know my nails were not dry. They pressured me into paying the full Price and stated Whenever I returned they would polish my nails. I returned the exact next day, the "Owner" got convenient amnesia began speaking to me in a very rude manner. I have gone to this salon for years. However, they SOLD the store and new owners are horrible! They are disorganized and rude. The first time my appointment I could have made a mistake, I accepted part of blame while the manager was rude assuring me it was my fault. My next appointment they sent me a text confirming the wrong time. Yesterday, I never got a text confirmation (after I asked for one). Called and they stated I never made it.
