Possibly the worst manicure I've ever gotten. Waste of time and waste of money. I wanted a very simple French tip manicure on my natural nails--no gel, nothing extra. A novice was assigned to me under no supervision. She was a sweet person but essentially took 1.5 hours to do my nails!!! She continuously messed up and had to start all over again. What's worse is the management didn't care at all!! They never sent anyone to help her or even guide her since she was taking so darn long! The service was horrible. I got a pedicure and didn't get exactly what I selected. I got charged for a service that I was unaware there was a charge for. I also got the dip and ive been doing dip for 4yrs now. The color was darker on one hand, after 1 week it chipped off 4 fingers. It should last longer than a week. There was no customer service. I drove 2 hrs because i was coming up to have a girls day and i walked away disappointed. Ive tried reaching out to the manager but no one will call me back. I just moved to Nashville. When I asked several women where they get their nails done, Nail Bar was mentioned in their top 3. The salon itself is very chic. Dark walls, center bar area for finger nails, private pedicure areas and a lot of polish and acrylic colors and SNS options. There is a smooth vibe in here with R&B music. Kids are not allowed unless they are getting services done which is rare. I enjoyed not hearing the random high pitch screams of kids running around. That is where the joy ends. Ive never been to an a la carte nail place before. Maybe Nashville does things differently then Atlanta. Do you want nails with a shape? Then you're paying $55+ for the fill and an extra $5 extra for the shape. Do you want acrylic or SNS over your bare tips? They charge $40-55 extra depending on what you choose. I wanted white acrylic over my tips and was charged $10 extra on top of $40+ for acrylic. Despite the price, I chose coffin shape. When the nail tech began to clip both sides of my nails in to a shape of a pyramid I asked her what she was doing. "Coffin" she responded. I Googled a picture to show her what coffin was-this wasn't it. See pictures. The acrylic doesn't cover my actual nail and the shape varies on each finger. The tech did not grind under the nail to clean out any left over acrylic and 6 out of 10 nails have bumps. As this was my first time at this place, the pedicure menu intrigued me. I wasn't asked what kind I wanted. I was given the basic $33 pedicure. Emphasis on basic. Other than the choice of oil scent for the 2 minute leg massage, there wasn't anything out of the ordinary that would make me feel like I got what I paid for. When I sat down at the bar to get my finger nails done, I scuffed the nail on my big toe. Rather than fixing the entire nail, the tech painted over the smudge. See pictures. Nail Bar serves wine. My assumption is they serve wine in hopes that you are so buzzed you don't pay attention to the poor nail job being done and the exorbitant price you are about for mediocre nails. read more

Love this spot! It's in a great spot in Cool Springs with an easy parking lot. You walk in and you literally feel like you're in a bar. Great decor and style and vibe. They offer a free glass of wine while getting your nails done which I always take them up on :) Color selection is phenomenal here. They really have almost too many options (for this indecisive girl anyway). Today I went with a black shimmer for my toes and an orange for my fingers. They are super nice and professional and do a great job on nails. I always walk out feeling so awesome and more put together. I'm moving in a few weeks so I may not be back as not as convenient to my new apartment... but if you live in the Cool Springs area I highly recommend! read more

Mai was fabulous! I brought in a few photos of nail art and colors I liked but was cautious about getting designs bc not all are created equal when it comes to nail design. Mai was very confident that she could do it all! We had great conversation and she gained my trust. I ended up choosing dip color with a couple simple designs. I will never return. The gal at the front desk was watching a movie on her phone. She could have been spending her time helping with cleaning instead because the place seemed dirty which immediately threw me off. My nail tech seemed to be miserable and my pedicure was nothing special, which is fine I guess. BEWARE...The owner and salon is in a lawsuit for an employee stealing a $60k diamond ring. The police have a video of the man who cleans the salon, bending over and picking up the ring and putting it in his pocket. when he was confronted by the customer, he denied that he saw it or had it. If you leave anything behind by accident, you will never see it again. The owner hides in her home in Nolensville and never comes in and employees don't have a license to work in the industry. in addition, when anyone posts a bad review, the owner has one of her employees comments on it with a laugh emoji. This place is gorgeous. I've had two pedicures here so far. There is a very "exclusive" feel about it...you definitely feel like you are being pampered here. The chairs are wonderful, I have to concur. In the future, I will skip on the wine offered, as it tasted like the cheapest of the cheap. I tasted "hangover" all over that stuff. But, the main reason I'm giving it 4 stars, is because it took the nail technician FOR-EV-ER to complete my pedicure. The person that they call the manager is nasty, rude and never does her job. You can't even leave a message for an appointment because she never checks them and it stays full. This salon has gone to absolute hell. As a teacher on a budget salary, I try to find good nails for a good price so one can imagine how disgusted I was to pay $110 for a half-assed set of acrylics that have already started falling off 6 days later. My nail technician, Mya, must've thought (because of my young appearance) that I was newbie to getting full-set acrylics because she purposefully did nails longer and stiletto-shaped so she could overcharge me. The receipt is where we can see why Mya purposely didn't do the nails I asked for... so she could charge me for "length" and "shaping" when I didn't want that shape nor length to begin with. I wasn't able to dispute the charges with her because I wasn't even offered a receipt until I asked, then once the front desk gave me one, Mya was already doing another pedicure. The "manicure" lasted 2 minutes tops and felt like someone giving me rope-burn on my arms. Didn't even give me a choice of scent. Just chose mint for me which would have been my last choice. After almost 20 years of getting acrylics, I've never been so upset & offended by a nail salon and their prices. Not to mention, my middle finger being glued to the acrylic leading to it cutting my finger open as can be seen in first pic. I only put 1 star because I had no choice. I have had my nails done here for two years off and on. First things first, time management is an issue here. No matter if I have an appointment or not, I wait 25-30 minutes to start my appointment. Without fail. It can be busy inside or practically empty. I still wait. They charge you to get a dipped nail fixed. I went in one week after having my nails done to get my thumb fixed, and they charged me for it. If your dip cracks and flakes off after one week, then this would be an application problem. Don't charge your customers. Children are welcome to get their nails done here, but they charge full adult price. My calm and composed toddler had her nails and toes painted. No spa treatment. No special chair. It took 10 min tops, and it cost me $40. It's $18 for the exact same thing one exit down. Ridiculous. read more

I am very pleased with this nail salon. I think it would do better around the Green Hills area or The Gulch but such an awesome place overall. They are great with being careful with your hands and feet. The decor in this nail salon is top-notch. You wouldn't believe you walked into a nail salon! It is definitely not the typical place. The decor is very modern but so chic with the perfect lighting and the nicest employees. Highly recommend this place. Hate to say it but this place has gone VERY downhill since I visited last year. We came into the salon at 7:00 PM, an HOUR before closing. We asked to get manicure-pedicures and they told us we could only pick one. Not sure how there isn't time to do both within 1 hour. I then had the worst manicure of my life. They told me the color I wanted wasn't available. They told my friend the same thing. We had to pick new colors. I told the male nail technician that I wanted him to just file my nails and that I didn't want them too short. He filed my nails shorter than they have ever been. I'm in physical pain right now because they're so short. The nail polish got under my nails, he kept filing them shorter and shorter trying to get the polish out for under and made an excuse for it saying that it "dripped". He had me get up to wash my hands twice during the manicure. He seemed like he just wanted to leave the entire time. Extremely disappointed. My nails are super uneven, short, and warped! The polish has huge bumps in it and empty blank spots where he didn't get the glitter polish all the way on the nail. I have rough edges on two of my nails that are already catching on everything, within 1 hour of ending the manicure. I wouldn't go back here again. Horrible customer service and I wouldn't have even paid $10 for this manicure. I wish I could get a refund. Literally in pain. I'm STILL picking hardened polish out from under my nails. read more
