The Nail Bar in Arcadia is probably the best nail place I've ever been to. Since the first time I came, I have been in awe of their work. So the first thing is that An is amazing at nail art. If I show her what designs I have in mind she really makes it happen. She has such a vision and understanding of how to make it look perfect. Secondly, these nails last forever. Sometimes I get busy so I can't come back for 2 months. Besides the nail growth, there has been no chipping or issue on my gel x set, which is unheard of anywhere else. The place is clean and comfortable. I did bring my boyfriend once for him to have a manicure and they were accommodating of him being there as I finished my gel x set! They are located in a smaller strip mall that has its own parking lot, so that's a huge plus! This family owned business has always been so kind to me when I come. The Nail Bar has recently changed management. I have been here twice for gel manicures and I was obsessed with the results each time! Ann is my go-to manicurist: she is very detail-oriented and is able to recreate any nail look that I show her. Her gel application is carefully and precisely done; my manicures are long lasting. I have no issue with lifting or chipping. She is able to create opaque finishes on certain polish colors that might look too sheer at first glance. Awful experience. The lady (diamond or golden something) was so unbelievably rude. It was the first time I have left without tipping at a nail salon. She kept pushing and pushing me to get gel nails. Which I refuse since my long natural nails don't want the damage. She messed up my French manicure so badly. When I pointed out the errors, each time she then muttered something under Vietnamese and then rolled her eyes. SO rude and unprofessional. At one point, I said to her "what did you say? I can't understate Vietnamese." She then huffed and puffed. It was so unco What I hated most was watching her and the owner dilute the nail polish with acetone. This legit ruins the product and it's effectiveness. It breaks down the chemical components that make it such a good nail polish. The lady kept saying "well, it will chip anyway, get gel". What?? I do a mani at home and it lasts more than a week. Maybe if you didn't RUIN the OPI product by adding acetone to it, it would last longer than 3 days. The pics I posted are from the SAME day. Avoid this place, ESPECIALLY if you have natural nails. The lady used a higher grit file, NOT intended for natural nails. I asked her for a lower grit one - got an eye roll for that. Then she just rubbed two files together. Sure enough, two days later my nail cracked on the side I found an amazing place in Old Town Pasadena and the lady/salon was fabulous. When I told her I had just gotten my nails done two days before, she couldn't believe it because it was done so poorly. I was desperately searching for a nice salon that I can do a weekly nail color changes at and bi-weekly manicures/pedicures. I always tip 20%+. You truly lost a potential regular customer. I have made sure to share this horrendous story with many of the ladies I engage with and yelp kept asking me to share the review experience. And please don't respond to this with some bs "please contact us to make this right." No. You can DM me and reimburse me for the awful mani/pedi. read more

She took her time and made sure to shape my nails exactly how I wanted. Love this nail salon! It's so clean and nicely decorated and the service is amazing. I'm not used to getting good customer service at nail salons but the service here is superb. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating and really ensures you're comfortable. Price isn't cheap but it's comparable with salons in the area. I have been Delphine's client for 9+ years. I am so happy that she finally reached her dream to open her own place. I have been her client before she opened this cute place. Here at the Nail Bar, you can tell that they took the extra distance to make sure you are comfortable, receive the best service, and I love the idea of disposable bag over the basin. They gave you the file and scrub stone that were used in you to take home. Delphine told me that every customers use a new set. The place is so clean. I appreciate the acknowledgment of my issues and the attempt to make it right. The owner, Delphine, offered me not only a redo of my gel mani/pedi, but a facial as well. This place knows customer service and good business practices. I chose to give it another shot. I contacted them to make an appointment for a gel mani/pedi. Upon arrival, Tina approached me and personally apologized. She continued with the explanation of why the gel polish had so easily peeled off, she had forgotten to apply the bonding base. An honest mistake. I had the same friendly greeting. Helen started on my pedicure. She was just as amazing as the first time. Tina helped me pick out a color. I was stuck between two colors so I offered to have her choose for me. Delphine stepped in and said "No Tina, bring her both colors and we'll test them on her for her to choose which she likes best." Delphine worked on my manicure this time around. Much like Tina she got my nails the shape and length I like them. She was careful and showed her skills. When we were done, Delphine thanked me and reminded me to call back for an appointment for my facial. When I tried to tip Helen and Delphine, they told me it wasn't necessary and that they just wanted me to have the experience they are proud to give and thrive for. From what they had shown me, these ladies deserved the tip. So I insisted and didn't take no for an answer. Tomorrow will be two weeks and I am thrilled to say my nails have not chipped, peeled, or even bubbled what so ever! My toes are looking great too. Super happy I decided to give them another try. I like that they are willing to go above and beyond. I also like the fact that just because they got busy they didn't cut corners, not just with clients but their cleanliness as well.
