    Chicken Momo in Butter sauce
    Ashley N.

This place is great for a quick lunch or snack stop! Ordered the chicken momo in butter sauce, and it came out very quickly. This was my first time eating here, and the momos were a delicious burst of flavour! The meat was well cooked inside and tender, while the outside was perfectly crispy and had a satisfying crunch. The butter sauce was amazing - balanced savoury with a little sweetness. I will be back to try more! Only downside is that everything is in takeout / single use containers and cutlery that you throw out after, even if you opt to dine in.

I stumbled across this place on the way home from selling something off Facebook lol. And wow, I'm so glad I did!!! The momos I got from here haunt me.. they're so good. Every time I look at the picture I took, I crave them. I got the butter sauce momos to try--they're crispy fried and covered in butter sauce (like butter chicken sauce, not plain butter!). You get 10 in the order. I can't even begin to describe this momo.. One bite and my body started producing dopamine like never before. It's soft for my soft mouth, yet has a little crunch for a balance of texture. The filling is juicy, meaty, and delicious. The sauce perfectly adheres to the momo and there's a perfect ratio of sauce to momo. I've also tried the malai momo and it was delicious as well. I prefer the butter sauce though. Can't wait until I've tried all their flavours! The ambience inside gives off fast food restaurant vibes but this definitely isn't fast food! Waiting for the momos can take quite some time.

We stopped by for lunch. We were the only customers dining at the time. However, there were a number of take out orders. The format is cafeteria style. You place your order at the cashier and food gets dropped off at your table. We decided to order a number of items - steamed chicken momo, mustang paneer momo, hakka noodles, chicken nuggets and fries. The food arrived after a long wait at different times. The momo and noodles were the highlight. Both were delicious. The steamed chicken momo had two different dipping sauces. The mustang paneer momo was spicy in a good way. I have never tried Nepali flavours as it was the menu description. It was a fried dumpling covered in a light coating of medium level spicy sauce. This is Asian level spicy too. The hakka noodles were made well. I could taste the wok hei - smoky flavour in the noodles. The chicken nuggets and fries were alright. They were served pipping hot. Service was minimal as it was cafeteria style. The restaurant was clean and tidy. I think this restaurant is a good take out option as everything was served in take out containers. It would be more environmentally friendly to not use disposable containers for dine in customers.

We loved the food and customer service. Momo and Chowmein were absolutely delicious. We tried three different kinds of momo and they all tasted authentic. If you are in the Surrey area and craving for Momo, you must visit this place.

Food wasn't the best but it wasnt the worst. just very average. The drinks were not good, were just made up of mostly sprite/7 up. Butter sauce fries were good, sauce was just not hot enough so none of the cheese curds melted but enjoyed the flavour. Momo description on board menu wasn't changed so we thought we were getting steamed but instead received fried momo's, which were't that great flavour wise. Just wasn't special, but quick bite to grab if you're in the area. Staff was friendly, service was good.

READ ITS INTERESTING REVIEW-:…read more I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant for over 4 years, and what happened today was completely unacceptable and extremely disappointing. One of the owners, Mr. Bishnu, knows me very well since I've been coming here regularly for years. A few months ago, when I tried to order a plate of noodles, I was told the wait time would be 40 minutes, so I cancelled the order. After about an hour, I called back thinking the wait might be shorter, but I was told it would now take 50 minutes. I still agreed to wait and picked up the order. At that time, I left a 1-star review because of the excessive wait time, but later I realized it might have been harsh and I deleted the review. However, what happened today completely changed my perception of this place. I went there to refer a friend for a job, because Mr. Bishnu himself had previously asked me to bring her. Instead of a normal conversation, he confronted me about that old review. During the conversation he said that if I "behave like this" I will not be welcomed at the restaurant anymore -- simply because I once left a review about slow service. The attitude was extremely egoistic and disrespectful. Even when I calmly tried to explain that this is not the way you treat a customer who has been supporting your business for years, his response was shocking. His exact words were essentially: "It's fine if you don't come. It won't make any difference to my restaurant. Even Mr Bishnu used a word " I don't care and F*ck about people" Imagine telling that to someone who has been coming here for 4 years, recommending the place to friends, and bringing new customers who also continued coming. This kind of arrogance toward loyal customers is unbelievable. A business should value feedback and long-time customers, not threaten them or dismiss them because of one honest review about service delays. After today's experience, I honestly feel disrespected and unwelcome, and I would strongly suggest other customers think twice before supporting a place where customer loyalty clearly means nothing. Mr Bishnu you lost a loyal customer to SPICE OF NEPAL & KATHMANDU BAR AND GRILLfor sure. If there are lot of other customers for you , there are lot of other restaurants around. YOU KEEP YOUR EGO, I WILL KEEP MY SELF RESPECT

Quickly seated and tended to by the staff. Interior is more of a diner scene than nice cafe. Bathrooms are gender neutral and clean but not nice. Here's my three things: 1) I got a lunch special featuring fish peckora, and tandoor chicken. Good flavor but missed on the real spice flavors. Veg salad was sour and worked with the rest of the plate. 2) These folks can make some NAAN! The Naan stole the show. Sweet, salty and crisp. 3) Price wise you can fill up and have a drink for $25-30CAN.

Their claim to fame would be momos, which are Nepalese style dumplings. Depending on the filling and the cooking style, they can actually be quite similar to Chinese pan fried buns. They also serve curry style dishes that are pretty close to Indian style. Chicken momo with afghani malai - 8 plump round buns with really tasty sauce. Momos were nice and juicy, with a crisp shell. Super tasty. Paneer kurkure - 8 deep fried oval things. Skin was thicker and crunchier than expected. Something to keep in mind. Served with spicy mayonnaise(?) and chili dipping sauce. Honestly I'd skip the crispy version and stick to the other. The sauces were good though. Village goat curry - nice morsels of goat. Curry wasn't too spicy. Went well with rice. Chicken chettinad - sauce has a nice kick from black pepper. Probably my favourite entree dish of the bunch. Sauce is a wee bit salty, so be sure to order rice to go with this one. Butter chicken - can't go wrong with this one. Tasty. Garlic naan - served in wide strips. Great for sharing and dipping in sauces. Jeera rice - tastes like rice. Friends and I were very impressed with the food and value here. I would gladly come back. Recommended.

It was a hot and savoury tea and I enjoyed sipping on it at the end of the meal. I also highly recommend trying the cocktails as they were super yummy! We ordered a Thenthuk, tumeric infused hand-cut noodle in marrow broth with AAA beef for the toddler. He ate it so fast we had to find ways to entertain him the rest of the meal. Can't wait to come back to try the regular menu items! There's simply so many choices. The service that night was very very slow. The entire dinner took about 3 hours, despite us telling the staff that with our young toddler, we cannot dine for that long. There was also a bit of mix up with the order of the dishes as they tried to serve us a dish we already have, and skipped one that we didn't have yet. Hopefully, that's been improved since then and it was just a one-time thing due to how busy the dine out night was!
