Holy amazing bakery! If you're in Yountville, you NEEED to go here and you need to get the English muffin sandwich. It was the fluffiest English muffin I've ever had. The pork roll, egg and cheese added the best flavor to the English muffin.
Wow, I got the breakfast croissant delivered, but I added all three meats Was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I ever had I couldn't get to the patio or to speak with the friendly staff there But I will return for an in person visit
We came in this morning at 8:30 AM; and the lady at the register was very rude. She didn't give me or my mom or half-and-half or a oat milk. I had to do it myself inside and grab the sugar and then get a new lid. Not sure why I asked for it in my coffee if you just can't do it. We will probably not be coming back here. It is close to the Westin in downtown Napa about .4 mi walking distance. But i would not recommend this.

Model Bakery is a must-visit if you're in Napa! This charming little bakery is famous for its incredible English muffins, but they also offer an amazing selection of fresh baked goods, breads, and sandwiches. The space is small and cozy with limited outdoor seating, and the staff is warm and welcoming. We picked up a baguette to enjoy later and shared a sandwich for lunch--both were absolutely exceptional. It was busy when we visited, but the quality of the food made it well worth the wait. Whether you're grabbing breakfast, lunch, or treats for later, Model Bakery is definitely worth a stop!
The Model Bakery is known for their English muffins, which you can buy in 6 packs or as part of a breakfast sandwich. Lots of bakery options, as well as a coffee bar. You order and par for everything at the bakery counter. I spoke with manager for a few minutes and she was LOVELY, but I didn't think the other staff were particularly engaging. I was impressed by the amount of pepperoni on the pizza, but it was very doughy, for my taste. There is no seating in the bakery itself, but there are picnic tables with umbrellas just outside Street parking is available or in the lot on the other side of the market.
This is worth a stop if you are in the area. Some things will actually run out if you are too late! They are known for English muffins. These come individually at $2.50 or up to packs of 6 for $14. The breakfast sandwich is stuffed! It was pretty good, but it's also $12.50. Raspberry tart - I wish it had custard instead of chocolate. The chocolate was soft, but too much amount-wise for me. I'm getting a sugar high from it right now. Credit card accepted.
Waited in line for the famous egg muffins. The 15-30 minute wait was worth it! Egg sandwich's came out hot and tasty. Each bite was savory and flavorful. The balance of bread to meat was perfect. Would definitely purchase egg muffins to go next time. The coffee was also hot and delicious. I tried the pumpkin spice latte and it was one of the best I've had. This trendy coffee hotspot is located behind oxbow market and is a short walk from the bridge that overlooks the Napa river. There is no indoor seating, but plenty of outdoor benches or enjoy a nice walk instead.
I wish I could give zero stars based solely on the customer service and overall experience I had with this establishment in the Napa location. I came in today to pick up a pie that I had ordered over the phone, and unfortunately, what should have been a simple pickup turned into an extremely disappointing experience. When I called to place my order, the person I spoke with told me the pie would be $35. However, when I arrived to pick it up, I was charged $45. My receipt clearly shows that I was charged $45 for a "Whole peach blackberry pie." I understand that prices can change or mistakes can happen, but if a customer is quoted one price when placing an order, any difference should at least be explained at pickup. To make matters worse is when I cut the pie, it was not the peach blackberry pie I had ordered. As shown in my second photo, what I received is an old fashioned Apple pie instead. So not only was I charged $10 more than the price I was quoted over the phone, I did not even receive the pie that I ordered and paid for. In addition, The person who was taking orders and working as the cashier was also extremely rude, dismissive, and unwelcoming. I initially did not catch her name, but according to my receipt, the server/cashier was Kelly F. For identification purposes, she was a younger woman with extensive tattoos. What makes this even more disappointing is that this is now the third time I have encountered this same employee, and each time I have experienced the same rude and unfriendly demeanor. After three separate encounters, it is difficult to simply chalk it up to someone having a bad day. There was no sense of friendliness, professionalism, or basic customer service during my interaction with her. Anyone working directly with customers should understand that the way customers are spoken to and treated reflects directly on the business. At this point, I genuinely feel that the business owner should consider assigning her to a position in the back where she does not have to interact directly with customers. If customer service is not her strength, having her at the front interacting with customers reflects poorly on the business and can leave people with a negative impression regardless of the quality of the food. Between being quoted $35, charged $45, receiving the wrong pie, and once again experiencing rude customer service, this entire experience was unacceptable. After three encounters with the same type of customer service, I finally felt it was necessary to leave a review. Management really needs to address this. Based on my experience, I would give zero stars if Yelp allowed it.
Here visiting Napa and I'm looking for some good eats around. Who would've known? Oprah's favorite bakery in in town! This gets even weirder: guess what is her baked good of choice? A homemade English muffin. I know. Not a croissant. Not a pain au chocolat. An English muffin. Not Thomas'. Model's own, and you'll get it once you've tried it. Came on a Tuesday morning, and there was a good amount of people eating in the outdoor dining area of the bakery, so that's always a good sign. I ordered the most simple thing on the menu: 1 English Muffin, toasted, with butter and rasberry jam. Simplicity speaks volumes at times. I gotta say: I was setting myself up for dissapointment. But after the first bite, I got it. I get why this is so good. I get why this is Oprah's favorite. It's simplicity makes it stand-out. The pillowy inside with the crusty outside was absolutely remarkable. If you're in Napa, stop by Model Bakery. Don't get the fancy desserts. Get the English Muffin. It's worth it.
I will never shut up about how good their English muffins are, or how their breakfast sausage sandwich is my favorite breakfast sandwich of all time. Also, the cookies. Yes to all the cookies! It's always a pleasure to come here after a long period of not having it, because it feels like I'm having it for the first time again. Model never disappoints!
Model Bakery was such a lovely stop. I had a smooth and delicious oat milk matcha latte with just a touch of honey--perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. The ham and cheese croissant was wonderfully flaky, buttery, and satisfying. I enjoyed it all outside on a beautiful morning, which made the experience even better. Between the quality of the food and drinks and the relaxed atmosphere, it's an easy place to linger and enjoy the moment. Definitely worth a visit!
When Oprah says, "Go somewhere for the English muffin," you go. And let me tell you, she was not lying! This thing is massive, airy, fluffy, and dangerously easy to inhale. I ordered my egg sandwich without the meat and grabbed a chai to go along with it. The sandwich was solid, and the chai was blah. Next time, though, I am coming prepared with a jelly packet or a little butter because this muffin deserves the full experience. There is no indoor seating, but honestly, it adds to the charm. There are outdoor benches with umbrellas, providing just enough shade to enjoy your food without melting. You order at the counter, and they bring everything out to you, which feels like a little treat in itself. If Oprah is a fan and you still have not been, that is all the sign you need. Go check it out!
I've been back to Model Bakery at Oxbow a few times since my last review, and definitely make sure you come early on the weekend if you're hoping to get english muffins, or order ahead online to make sure you aren't faced with the sad news that they're sold out! Despite being busy as always, the line still moves quickly, and there is plenty of space at the outdoor picnic tables to wait for your order. The picnic tables do get pretty covered in crumbs, but nothing a napkin and a quick swipe can't fix - do be careful of the many birds lurking to grab a bite though. While my favorite is still the plain toasted english muffin with butter and apricot jam, I have also tried the chipotle muffin - which came on nicely toasted sourdough and not an english muffin (my fault for not reading more carefully); this was a hearty, tasty and great breakfast sandwich! The bacon was thick and not too chewy or burnt, and the chipotle sauce brought the tomato, egg and avocado together perfectly, though I'd love a bit more sauce. We also tried the honey butter cornmeal cookie which was amazing - not too sweet but full of honey and corn flavor with a fun chewy texture and mouthfeel. Anyways, definitely come for the english muffins, but everything else is worth trying too :) read more

While at Napa we stopped and picked up some breakfast pastries and a Ginger Turmeric Chai tea. Both wife and I loved the tea! We would get that again for sure. We had the pastries at home and enjoyed it as well. They have plenty of items and bake goods to purchase and the service was fast and friendly. Parking is okay but when it's busy you might have to park farther away but it's worth it. read more

Wow, I have read about the English muffins here, but the bread on our Cuban sandwich was delicious! Everything you want, crunch on the outside of the bread, soft and bouncy on the inside. I also had the sports tea which was delicious! Not sure what the flavors are I. The tea, but it was very refreshing. We bought a six pack of the English muffins and tried them for breakfast the next morning, now I know what the talk is about, these have that nook and cranny center, but with a thin and crunchy outside. One of our most important stops in Napa. We love the epi bread and baguettes. Very similar to Acme bread go the epi bread but a hint of sour dough flavor. Very delicious baguettes similar to Paris. This place was packed at 10:15 and already ran out of some goodies including plan croissants, which was disappointing. Place is spacious & simple. Outdoor seating was great. We got some coffee & goodies, all pretty good. - latte & cappuccino were both good, not bitter, and came out fast. - banana walnut muffin: very tasty & moist, loved it. - chocolate chip & walnut cookie: really good, chewy & soft. - ruffle mushroom bread pudding: small & odd but very tasty. The place is located next to Gott's and I had no idea. The place is cute, smal and cozy. The worker greeted us as we came through the door and took our order. Hubby and I stopped by to try this place out. He ordered a banana loaf and I got a ginger tumeric chai and a blueberry muffin. Our order came out pretty quickly. I loved my drink! It is the best chai I have had in ages. Would gladly return for this drink again. The pastries were delicious. The bakery in Oxbow is ancient and in need of remodeling but the English muffins are still the best. If you want them to hold a bag of 6 or more bags for you, they require 48 hrs notice. The AM of our departure, I called early (they open 6:30 am) and held several bags for pick up. The price has increased to $16.75 for a bag of 6 now. this place is sooooo cute! when you get there you have to wait in line to place your order and then you wait outside for them to bring you your food and drinks. expect to wait at least 15 minutes if you order a drink, longer if you also get food! i will say the wait is well worth both the food and drinks. today, my family and i ended up getting a banana walnut muffin, two lattes, and the sausage breakfast sandwich. i'm not kidding when i say everything is literally a 10/10. my daughter LOVED the muffin and she is very picky when it comes to muffins. I also tried it and it was really good and moist. me and my husband both really liked our lattes, but i will say if you like your coffee sweet, maybe skip out on it but it was perfect for us! our favorite item was definitely the sausage breakfast sandwich! the home made english muffin with the sauce they put on the sandwich was literally perfection. if you come here, you MUST try the sausage sandwich!! read more
We ordered a drip coffee, a cappuccino and a croissant to go. The croissant was flaky and buttery. The drip coffee was great and my cappuccino was made well. The wait is quite long to get your coffee and food when they're busy which is quite often. It's worth it though. It was cold outside so be sure to bundle up on those winter days because you have to wait outside for your order. They do have picnic tables and places to wait. It's bustling for a reason. It's on Oprah's favorite things every year. Just take all my money, Model Bakery! This time I tried their vegan caramel chocolate bar and my gosh is that worth a drive to Napa! Their breakfast sausage sandwich was devoured by my husband. The blueberry muffin was scarfed up by my toddler. Hand squeezed orange juice, too! Just all of it! A must! Don't forget a few bags of the English muffins to go and freeze them or put them in your fridge. Service is friendly and they go as fast as they can. read more
The Model Bakery is mentioned in dozens of articles when you look up best stops in Napa. I think it's a worthy stop, but has its kinks. Maybe it's a Napa thing... is there any sense of urgency in this town? After ordering a single breakfast sandwich, a latte, and a cold brew, it took nearly 15 minutes before anything came out. At least it was hot! The breakfast sandwich was good. The English muffin was what truly shined. Obviously this place knows their pastries. I wish I had gotten more of the pastry options, but alas. A reason to go back! The coffees were also good, but there are many good coffee shops in the area. The cold brew was slightly bitter. There is only outdoor seating here so be ready if it's chilly out in the AM! Overall, I think the Model Bakery is great and I look forward to returning one day for more pastry options. The craziest English muffins I've ever had. I would say they are more of a pastry than true bread. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and a pack of English muffins to go. The English muffins are so good. The sandwiches are a little expensive but definitely worth the trip. The iced tea was also great. read more
The absolute best breakfast english muffin sandwich I have ever had. I didn't know english muffins could taste so good. I ate half immediately, then saved the other half for an hour or so later, and it was still just as delicious. There was a line and bit of a wait to receive food, but it was well worth it. Got a delicious caramel latte and an almond croissant (I ate it! ). Service was great with lots of recomendations. I went at 830 am and there was no line! Which it's usually around the corner. read more
The English muffins and breakfast sandwiches are still amazing. The service however was not. The person at the counter got my order wrong and when I said that was the wrong pastry that was being put in the bag she told me no that's what she ordered, when it wasn't. It was too much of a pain with my whole order so I let it go. As I'm waiting outside for my breakfast sandwich I look inside my bag of items and see that I am missing 2 items. I had to go back inside and get the missing items and the staff did not even apologize. I also do like that there were flyers landing on the pastries. The atmosphere is still very relaxed outside so you can sit and enjoy your food. read more

We decided to stop by Model Bakery while spending the day in Napa! At around 10:30 AM on a Sunday, there was already a sizable line outside. We went with the Bearclaw ($5), which was tasty but a little on the dry side. I wish we had sampled more, especially their famous English Muffins or a loaf of sourdough, but we'll save that for next time. Definitely worth a stop for some freshly baked goods! read more

The model bakery is such a cute bakery. It's right around the corner from the public market. I really like the fact that they have a seating area right outside the bakery. The inside is a cute little bakery and as you walk in, everything smells so good that fresh smell of baked goods. We picked up the honey bun and the lemon poppy. Both were really good and I wanted to purchase more baked goods, but I was on my way to lunch. We have to pick up more baked goods next time we're in Napa. The line went pretty quick. Just behind Gott's roadside restaurant, you'll discover these small bakery and charcuterie shops. There are quite a few other boutique and food specialty shops in the area as well. This is a business where you either get it to go, or you dine outside, no seating inside. They have a very extensive list of baked goods and a coffee bar. I got the croissandwich which was well made and a cup a coffee. The only things I noticed that were disappointing were their small muffins for $4.25 and some of the pastries had coarse sugar dumped all over them. Unfortunately, the medium roast coffee I had was substandard like cheap hotel coffee. I would be remiss if I didn't also point out the other breakfast opportunities just around the corner (and better coffee) in the Oxbow market such as Loveski deli. I found this spot on TikTok while looking for brunch ideas in Napa, and it did not disappoint! The food was absolutely amazing. We got their sausage and egg sandwich and "model" wrap, which came on a spinach tortilla. Both were incredible, and the breakfast sandwich was on a homemade English muffin -- honestly, I'll probably be dreaming about it for months because it was that good. You order inside, and they bring your food out. The seating is all outside in a cute little area in downtown Napa. Parking can be a bit tricky, but the food is well worth it. read more

This place is to die for! I mean just thinking about how good this place is has my mouth watering. I went here with my friend who highly recommended because apparently it was on "Oprah's favorite list". We gave it a shot and loved it! I got a Sausage sandwich I think that's the name and omg! I'm not a fan of English muffins at all, but the moment I took the first bite I fell in love. I even bought some English muffins for home. Don't forget to ask for jam! I would think yes! I would recommend cutting them in half and freezing them.
Do they have any vegan baked goods yet?
I was just there last weekend to buy baguettes, I didn't see anything vegan. Bakeries aren't the best places for vegan anything. Whole Foods has vegan baked goods. Maybe even Trader Joe's. Good luck!
