There's a time in place for this restaurant. If you want to come here, take your time and celebrate, it makes sense for that. If you're ready to just come in and eat, this might not be the place. You have to cook each of the courses you're served excluding the salad and if you don't want all four courses for two people, by the time you buy an entrée and a salad you're paying the same price. The best thing about this restaurant is the service and the holiday cocktails. The servers were very attentive, made sure our table was clear and was always willing to replenish anything we ran out of. The holiday cocktails my friend said taste it like desserts.

Visited Melting Pot last weekend with my partner to celebrate our anniversary. This was our first time doing a dining experience like this, so we went in with no expectations. You can choose from two full experience's or go with their a la carte option. I did reservations on OpenTable to reserve our time. I highly recommended doing reservations, because they book up quickly. We were greeted by the hostess, which was super sweet and we got seated pretty quickly! I had booked through OpenTable -- for roses to be on the table with candles and a single rose, which was on our table when we got seated. (Nice touch & can be done for an extra cost, see their available packages and pricing on OpenTable) The restaurant had a great ambiance dim, romantic lighting, comfortable seating. It's really loud in here though between folks having conversations and the steam/sounds of cooking all around you. If you want more of an intimate experience, plan for an early dinner. The later it gets the more folks begin to pour in. Our server, Matt, was excellent. He walked us through the menu with ease and provided several recommendations when we couldn't decide. Make sure you look over the menu well, you will need to place your whole meal (besides dessert fondue) before your experience begins. We went with the Classic Alpine for our cheese fondue. It was alright, but had a harsh aftertaste after eating multiple bites with it. You get bread, seasonal fruits and veggies to dip in the cheese. If we went again, we'd probably pick a different cheese option. We both had the house salad for our next course. It was your average house salad: I got ranch, my girlfriend went with honey mustard. We both wished there was more dressing on the salad, but I ate all of it anyways. Moving to the entree, we with the "big night out" option with the Coq Au Vin cooking style. We set timers on our food to ensure we were cooking everything properly. They give you three skewers to cook the items. They also bring out a dish with several different sauce options for your meat. Everything was pretty good, nothing over the top though. I wasn't that big of a fan of the Coq Au Vin taste. For our chocolate fondue, we picked the original (milk chocolate). This was by far the best part of the course. The dippers and the chocolate was delicious together. We would've ate more, but we were stuffed from everything else. Our server brought out a plate with "Happy Anniversary" on it, which was a nice touch. Overall, it was a unique experience for sure. Our server was very attentive during the whole experience. He kept the food coming out and checked back often to see if we needed anymore dippers, utensils, or drinks. Come with an empty stomach, because you will be consuming a lot of food. The price is the thing that got me. It's a unique experience, but probably a one and done for us unless we come back for a round of dessert fondue.

i love this place!! such a fun time everytime we come!! we came for valentines and had such a fun time! 10/10 experience! service was a little busy and we had to wait a little but it was no problem. service was great and fast and will definitely be back!

First time at the melting pot, and it was soooooo cool! They have thursdate night event going on every Thursday, which consists of their big night out dinner for two and special chocolate fondue. We got the complete dinner for two instead. Despite having to share the cheese, entree is one set each! So you get to choose what meat you want! We ordered the Quattro Formaggio for our cheese. Our cooking pot was Coq Au Vin, which was a good broth base. But mixing it with Quattro Formaggio, the wine taste was kinda strong. Would recommend a different cheese fondue instead. Since you can keep the cheese to dip with your entree, we felt a little tipsy eating The highlight of this is probably the cookie and cream chocolate fondue! I absolutely love it! It's dark chocolate with marshmallow and oreo cookie crumbles. They even pour fire down the pot to melt the marshmallow! It's so pretty and amazing! It's free refill on the dippers. You just tell them what you would like and they will bring you more. Highly recommend the brownie! It tastes amazing with the chocolate fondue! The server checks on you and asks you if you would like any more dippers, so it's totally cool if you don't remember to do it. They got you covered. Really enjoyed my time here. The whole atmosphere was so chill and mellow. Would totally come back again. Maybe just for the chocolate fondue. I can't get enough of it! Got too full after the meal that I don't have much room in my tummy to binge on the chocolate fondue ):

First time went for My birthday dinner it was really good friendly staff the chesse fondue and oreo marshmallow chocolate fondue was really good I do wish with the chesse fondue that the veggies were cooked the main course was good I did the creat 3 option if you want to cook your food quick I would recommend the oil season option but if you don't mind waiting and want less grease I would do the vegetable broth instead

    The writing for our anniversary

Our server Hannah was the absolute sweetest! She congratulated us on our anniversary and was so kind and helpful when we were trying to figure out the menu! The restaurant was beautiful and the foot was phenomenal. We are so excited to come back soon!

My boyfriend and I went for the first time and not only was the food amazing, but our service was phenomenal! Lacey (Lacie?) was our server and she was absolutely fantastic. She was on top of her menu knowledge and her professionalism was so refreshing. We will definitely be back and hope to see her there!!

I took my mom for her birthday during restaurant week. We got the basic fondue three course meal and drank water, and even though we knew we were spending less than the average guests, our server Liv took care of us SO WELL. We felt like the only people in the place (even though it was packed.) It was our first time, and she knowledgeably and eloquently walked us through the menu and the process and what to do with our leftovers. She made the experience amazing for my wonderful mom. Thanks Liv!

A major treat to eat out every once in a while! The cheese is to die for, I try a new one each time and am never disappointed. This whole meal is an extravagant experience from start to end. It's very fun and involved and the staff is always a delight. The restaurant has a bar and super nice booths, very clean bathrooms, and a warm ambiance. I've been here for a couple milestones in my life and it's the best way to celebrate. The meats are high quality and come with a variety of dipping sauces. Don't skip the chocolate fondue dessert!

Anyone know if this location is good for groups of 10 or so? Also, if so do they have tables with more than one burner or is everyone around one of the normal small burners? Thanks!

Yes they can accommodate your group of 10. They will automatically put you at a table with 2 burners if your party is 8 or more. When we dine my group is usually 6 to 8 and we always request a table with 2 burners. I do suggest that you call and…

However, this wasn't one of my favorite cheese bars in town. The cheeses were good but nothing special and the food pairings on the cheese board didn't seem to go that well with what was given. We paid $20 for a 4 cheese board which came with a few marcona almonds, green olives, Sweety Drop peppers, and bread with a mustard spread and fig Jam. We aren't allowed to pick the cheeses but rather they pick for you. I felt for the hard cheeses we had, we needed better food pairings and I was expecting more spreadable cheeses for the bread. They do have a crumbly cheese that has mustard seeds in it which was unique and delicious. I wish they had made some cheeses in house that could taste more fresh and would be unique to that place. They were also understaffed for a Saturday evening as there was a long line to place your order and the cheese board took really long to finally come out. We didn't have anyone check back in with us anytime after our board came out to see if we needed anything more like water, bread, had questions, etc... it could have been just that night, but we just didn't get the same attention we do in some other places like this. I've gone to Urban Stead and felt the quality of the cheeses were better and their boards are cheaper for what you get in terms of amount of cheese. We had enough from the one board with 5 cheeses to fill us up. They also interacted a ton more while we were there and the cheeses are so fresh since they make them all in-house. I'm glad I tried this place out as I've always passed by and wanted to try it out. It's located in Pleasant Ridge which is central for the Cincinnati area and it is around the corner from Nine Giants brewing. We read about some of the specials they have during the week so I'm willing to try it again when it might not be as busy.

Walked in and loved the laid back feel. Simple decor and open. Easy to order! We looked over the menu and decided to get the 4 cheese and 4 meats for $35.00. Picked a bottle of red for $23.00 (Portuguese). We felt that it was versatile and would go with any cheese. You are able to get it by the glass or if you don't feel like wine, they do sell craft beers in the fridge. You can pick your cheese if you like. There were two that caught our eye that we had to request the four alarm cheddar cheese (jalapeño, chipotle, habanero and ghost peppers) and Dragon's breath but it's soft blue cheese with spices and hints of mustard. They do not make the cheese in house. Their cheese are imported from all over the world. Very great selection in my opinion. With your cheese tray, you do get bread, olives and nuts and preserves. When we receive our tray, we were truly impressed! Cheese, bread, meats were fresh and presentable. They went well with our wine. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Besides our great experience, they do offer specials. Happy hour on Friday's, Wednesday's are flight and bites, Thursday's are sandwich nights. They also cater! Since we are only a couple miles from this awesome place, I know we will visiting again very soon! Thanks so much! Everything was perfect!

Everything I've tried has been consistently fresh, flavorful, and well made, and there's always something that makes me want to come back and try something new. My personal favorite is the braised short rib and octopus if you're someone who loves savory, rich flavors. Both are packed with flavor and definitely the dishes I find myself craving. If you're looking for something a little lighter, I'd go with one of their pastas instead. They're flavorful without feeling quite as heavy. The pizza is probably the one thing that isn't my personal favorite. I prefer a thinner crust with little to no flop while still having a light, fluffy texture. Their dough is denser and gives the pizza a more substantial, hearty bite. That said, the toppings are fantastic, and if you prefer a thicker, chewier style of pizza, you'll probably really enjoy it. The espresso martinis are a must, especially because they have an espresso machine right behind the bar and make them fresh to order. You can really taste the difference with freshly pulled espresso. The atmosphere is another big reason I enjoy coming here. It's cozy, intimate, and definitely gives date-night vibes. It can get pretty busy, so I'd recommend making a reservation ahead of time. If you don't have one, bar seating is a great alternative. Parking is limited, so you may have to rely on street parking. The staff are also incredibly helpful with recommendations if you're unsure what to order. Overall, this has become one of my favorite spots for a cozy meal, good drinks, and consistently fresh food.

We shared a margarita pizza and it was delicious. I recommend waiting a minute for the crust/cheese to firm up but the flavor and crust were amazing. I had the bolognese and it was absolute perfection. It's a large serving and I had leftovers for a couple days. My husband got the cacio e Pepe. He liked it but I found it sort of flavorless and not enough pepper. For dessert, we had the Pope's salame. It's unique and very tasty! We could only eat half because we were so full but I'm glad we tried it.

The Fried Chicken went believeably well with that Waffle. No wonder it's one of the popular dishes! The biggest highlight for me was that waffle. I don't know what it was with that waffle but it was a different type of Belgian waffle which was dense and cakey with a little bit of sugary crust outside and it was so so so beautiful.
