Stopped at the Melted Madness and took home a Gluten Free Phillylicious Home! Sooo Cheesie! It was soo good! I was just happy I was able to enjoy a grilled cheese!! It served with a side sauce and potato chips made " In House" . It's a small place with 4tables. No bathroom but they keep hand sanitizer there and enough napkins. Music is poppin! 90s beats playing! It was hard not to take a few minutes to write a review after seeing how much the owner cares about running a successful business! Service was amazing - super friendly and great communication. Overheard them explaining to the table next to ours that some of the items they ordered is still a recipe in the works of being perfected and to let them know if there were any need for improvement. The food came out pretty quickly and was really flavorful. The BBQ pulled pork was drenched in sauce and made for a five napkin grilled cheese situation but honestly with the sandwich being so finger licking good, it didn't even matter. What a killer new spot on Main Street! They're serving up some crazy grilled cheese options and other comfort foods. We came in on a Friday night and they weren't too busy but had a steady flow of customers. Only a couple tables inside so it's more takeout vibes - which we'll be doing plenty of in our future! The staff here is amazing and so friendly to anyone who walks in. AND they're women owned! We got a few grilled cheese sandwiches to try including their signature Melted Madness which was a triple-decker grilled cheese. This would be perfect after a night out or to cure a hangover... it's CHEESEY AF. Their Empire State Chopper was our favorite. It's their take on a chopped cheese and it's perfect! This will definitely be our go-to order. We also tried the Philylicious and Cheesy Parm Parm and both were great. I loved the focaccia on the parm but could use more garlic. They also have some heavy hitters for apps including their homemade mozz sticks which were THICC with cheese and their grilled cheese roll-ups were so fun! Their mac & cheese is a must order - whether it's fried or as a side. If it comes with cheese, it's a must order here. I found Melted Madness while watching "Mostly" healthy food reviews on YouTube. Claude (YouTuber) ordered a vegetarian Tofu Grilled Cheese with Lobster. I don't eat Lobster but I wanted to give the establishment a try out. They have Vegetarian Grilled Cheese, Sweet Grilled Cheese, Salads, Milkshakes, and decadent Grilled Cheese. As soon as my daughter and I walked in, we were greeted by the staff and the staff was very welcoming. The bright yellow colored paint sure was inviting but not too much on the eye. My daughter and I decided we would just start with the regular Grilled Cheese which was called Melted Madness since it was are first time here. Plus, we wanted to start out with the original to see if a regular Grilled Cheese was good. My daughter also ordered an Irish Carmel Milkshake. The Grilled Cheese was loaded with four different cheeses and they also gave you an option for a dipper sauce. My daughter and I decided to go with Tomato Basil. The Grilled Cheese was very cheesy but the sandwich was able to hold all the cheese together considering they used four different cheeses and it looked like regular bread, but I'm not complaining. It brought me back to my childhood but this Grilled Cheese was definitely decadent. This is definitely not the hood Grilled Cheese my mother used to make but my mother can make a mean Grilled Cheese. I was kind of on the border with the Tomato Dipping Sauce because I'm really not a fan of Tomato Soup. My daughter picked it out so we went with that. My daughter said the dipping sauce was good, so I dip my Grilled Cheese in and it was okay. In my opinion, it didn't need the sauce. The sandwich was good by itself but there are a variety of dipping sauces that you can try. The Grilled Cheese was delicious but the only critique is that I didn't get that crispy texture on the edges of the bread. You can taste the different flavors of cheese, you get the buttery taste of the bread, but I was missing the crispy edges. All in all, the Grilled Cheese was definitely delicious and the staff are outgoing, pleasant, and welcoming. I will definitely be back again soon to try other options on the menu. read more

Located at the corner of Main St. and Ferry St. in Middletown, the inside is pretty small, with just a few tables to sit at. There's a self-serve kiosk where you can place your order, but I chose to order at the counter. The menu includes appetizers like poutine and grilled cheese roll-ups, "Savory" and "Sweet" grilled cheese sandwiches, seafood options, vegan/vegetarian options, and milkshakes. I opted for the "Melted Madness," which is a triple decker grilled cheese with melted crunchy cheese on the outside. It came with homemade chips and a side of tomato basil soup for dipping. Everything was so delicious! The grilled cheese was just as advertised- crunchy on the outside, and gooey on the inside. I ordered a Smores milkshake to drink and it was so good! After finishing my meal, the staff came out and gave me a complimentary "Sweet Hawaiian" grilled cheese for dessert, which they said was a new menu item. It was white toast with grilled pineapples, caramel, sweet cheese, and mozzarella. It came with a caramel dipping sauce. Now I would never even think to put pineapple on a grilled cheese, but this sandwich was AMAZING! The absolutely perfect dessert. They offer an interesting variety of savory & sweet grilled cheese sandwiches with vegetarian & vegan options, seafood sandwiches, salads, soups, chili, mac & cheese, fried appetizers, poutine, cake slices, milkshakes, refreshing madness drinks, and cold cooler drinks. Each grilled sandwich includes a warm dipper cup (choice of soup, gravy, melted cheese, or chili/sweet sauces). The prices here seem fair with a classic grilled cheese with dipper starting at $4.99 and most signature sandwiches with dipper $10.75 to $11.99, prices in 2023. While traveling through the area, I stopped by Melted Madness recently for takeout dinner. I took a peek at their menu in the shop before placing my order online. I ordered a Mac Attack ($10.99 plus tax) with a chili dipper and a Fish Hash Stack ($12.50 plus tax) with a creamy shroom dipper, which was ready in about 20 minutes after placing the order. I enjoyed my food back at my vehicle. The Mac Attack was loaded with mac & cheese, caramelized onions, melted provolone & muenster cheeses, grilled bacon, & chipotle mayo between grilled Texas toast slices. I enjoyed dipping into the hearty meat & bean chili. The Fish Hash Shack had a fried flounder filet, melted provolone & pepper jack cheeses, pickled onions, tartar sauce between two deep fried hash brown patties. The creamy shroom soup dipper was a great pairing for this cheesy fish hash brown stack. I finished both sandwiches & dippers which was very tasty and filling for my impromptu dinner. This was an unexpected surprise. Having been to the other grilled cheese place that is now gone, I wasn't sure what to expect. I had the cheesy chicken parm parm on focaia bread that was wonderfully crisp but not too much so. The cheese was yummy, just would have like a little more chicken but that was ok since the cheese part was good. The chips on the side were good, it was interesting salty & sweet I think. The variety on their menu is impressive, especially how they incorporated so many vegetarian and vegan options into the mix! Their Buffalo chicken grilled cheese was one of my favorites because it tasted exactly like Buffalo chicken dip! I also really liked the signature "Melted Madness" which had a layer of melted cheese on the outside of the bread! All of the appetizers we tried were delicious, and I was glad to see the majority of them were made in house. Decided to try this place out tonight and boy was that the best decision! The food is SO good. The grilled cheese options are varied and each sandwich comes with chips and a small bit of soup. I got the Shroomania and broccoli cheddar soup. The sandwichs are large and filling. The soup very nicely flavored. We also had the buffalo chicken grilled, I didn't get a bite because my husband hoovered it. My son got the tomato basil soup with his grilled cheese and has raved about it. He claims (and I quote) "I could eat here every day and not get sick of it!" He is also the one who insisted we needed to leave a review. The servers were lovely, helpful and friendly. This place was banging! Not easy to find good vegan food but it was here. I had the vegan "chicken" parm sandwich. Bread was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. "Chicken" tasted like chicken and the vegan cheese was melted perfectly with the tomato sauce. Fries were hot and home made. Salted perfectly. Comfort food at its best! I got the Mac attack and it was a perfect blend of cheeses, macaroni, and caramelized onions. The tomato basil dipped side was also yummy. If I have any grips it's just that the sandwich was so big it was hard to hold so I gave up and used a fork and knife. Not a bad problem to have though! A really good sized portion. I was greeted by a man who asked if it was my first time (which it was) I asked him what he recommended to which he told me the buffalo chicken sandwich and the Empire State grilled cheese (a chopped cheese grilled cheese) were the top orders. Went to Melted Madness with 3 other girlfriends, we did not hold back as everything on the menu sounded amazing! I was skeptical when I walked in and saw the place was full of teens. As they were ordering through the kiosk, one of the guys came and took my order so I didn't have to wait so long. (The kids couldn't decide what they wanted). My food came pretty fast, not only that but was freaking delicious! We had grilled cheeses, soups, drinks and I got an Oreo milkshake! My broccoli cheddar soup was DEFINITELY homemade, I appreciated it so much as I love the homemade soup far more than a container soup. The grilled cheeses were exactly what you'd imagine and absolute heaven! We will all be back here and spread the word on how great Melted Madness is! read more

First, they have an outstanding selection of delicious fresh comfort food like grilled cheese sandwiches, poutine, french fries, mac and cheese bites, milkshakes, and a whole lot more. As you walk into this place, you're greeted by a cheery, happy, fun-loving crew that welcomes you in. Service was great and they really were above the bar. I had the Cheesy Parm Parm sandwich. It was fantastically flavorful, served on an ultra-fresh roll with your choice of dipping sauce. My girlfriend had the vegan poutine and she thought it was great too. It was a busy place at lunchtime in downtown Middletown, across from the firehouse. They had a few tables and chairs available, but you can order from a kiosk or at the counter. The ambiance is okay, and they could use some better ventilation--you'll leave smelling like delicious food all day though. But I really liked this place, and we will surely come back. Let me just say, I am SO glad I stopped in and gave this place a chance. How the heck do you mess up a grilled cheese sandwich??!! First of all, I came to this place to kill time. Sign said they were opened until 9PM. I walked in at 7PM and the cook and work throw a fit because they were trying to close early. I order. I sit down. The cook is slamming stuff because he's very upset that I've sat down and have my laptop out. I ask for the wifi and he says he doesn't know what it is. The food is ready now. The one young white kid yells over to me, "So that's for here? Not to go?" He had already asked me this so now it's clear, they want me to leave! Had I not already paid for my food, I would've just left right then. I sat and wait for the older black guy to roughly bag my food, but RIGHT before he does he COUGHS into his hand and then proceeds to open the bag with that same hand! When I ask him to use another bag and wash his hands, instead of doing it, he argues me down about how he coughed in his sleeve blah blah blah. He STILL put my food in the cough-filled bag and I left! Smdh.... I definitely will never go back! They were also cursing and using terrible language while I was sitting there! Tonight was my second time visiting Melted Madness, my job was to pick up dinner for my wife, my five year old and myself. The atmosphere was awesome, place is super clean out front and has a good vibe. The staff were really nice both times I've been in. The food was not ready at the time google said it would be but I understand because it's a Friday night. I did not have to wait long though as I was the only one there when I walked in. Now for the food, my 5 year old had a classic grill cheese (there was no kids menu) with cheese dipping sauce and chips. She really enjoyed dipping the chips in the cheese sauce and gave the grill cheese a thumbs up, but ate very little of it. My wife ordered a Tofusion with Tomato Basil Dip but said it was very greasy and did not taste very good. Her tomato basil dip was very watery and not good either. She made herself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich instead. I ordered the Empire State Chopper with chili dipping tonight, it was ok. My biggest issue is the bread and the crust. The bread was very soft, soggy and the crust was rubbery, very tough to hold. I had a similar experience when I ordered the Cheesey Parm Parm for lunch last week. I thought it was just because it was a chicken Parm and not really a grilled cheese but I guess not. The chili dipper was not good either, I've never seen chili like this before it was very watery. We also gave the buffalo wings, Mac and cheese, Tator Tots and Broccoli and Cheese bites a try. My daughter like the tots but they were very greasy and left quite a puddle at the bottom of the container. The Broccoli Bites were so greasy that they were unpleasant to eat. We threw away three out of four of them. The Mac and cheese was hard and rubbery and contained bacon, which was not listed on the online menu. (I didn't mind the bacon but customers should be made aware.) The wings were ok nothing special. Also had the peaches and cream drink tonight and the tropical drink last time I went in and both were pretty tasty. I am writing this review in hopes the owners read the review and fix the issues. I will try back in a few months to see if they got better. I am really rooting for this place to fill the void Whey Station left when they closed down. I almost left then but I wanted grilled cheese and figured we can just eat outside. Then the food was just okay. Soggy and super greasy bread but decent flavor I guess.
